It was a day off for him. He was off-duty. And yet... work was on the mind. Shun couldn't help but feel a little curious about the so-called Dark Lady he has been hearing more and more about ever since he had moved to Ashdown. Some called her a witch. Some claimed she wasn't human.
He had to wonder if people were high when interacting with this woman. Witches did not exist, after all. Still, regardless the ridiculous rumors surrounding her, it did seem like that she knew something. And he wanted to find out just what that was.
Upon reaching the beach, he found a place to park his bike for the time being. He dismounted and popped his helmet off before taking a quick look around. Her house was supposed to be on the cliffs... Clipping his helmet to his backpack, he began to hike on off. While he did this, a pair of handcuffs he always kept on him as a sort of 'just in case' managed to fall out of his bag.

Chel had been with a few friends borrowing one of the many recreational areas to do ... generally nothing. There was talk of starting a bonfire, talk of going swimming, talk of a picnic and all that really resulted was a bunch of pointless hot air situated in the area doing nothing but talking, laughing and wasting their own time.
So when Chel saw a certain cop (detective, whatever) enter the scene, she took it as something to do.
But damn, she'd said she would leave him alone. She'd promised she'd stay put, and so she turned back to the boy who's lap her head was now sitting on.
Only- a shiny object dropped onto the ground. She wasn't sure if it was his keys, his wallet ... But ... it wouldn't be bad just to go put them back in his bag right?
"I'll be right back-" To much protesting, which Chel only squeezed the man's hand (was his name Robert or did he go by Robby? ********) and said, "Naw c'mon, I'll be back soon."
Handcuffs, they were handcuffs. Why the ******** would Shun have handcuffs on him? She looked up to the trail he had embarked on, then back to the group she'd been with. What if he needed these handcuffs? What if he got to the moment of the arrest and then didn't have his handcuffs? Wouldn't that be ******** embarrassing?
"Mmmmm." She finally tucked the handcuffs into her back pocket and took off down the road. She was just returning something to a stranger who had dropped it. That was all. Yes.

Sunny liked to hang out on the beach proper, but today she felt like a cliff walk, so there she was: kicking her feet up, disturbing rocks, brush, and small animals.
Her kicked rocks bounced down the cliff. It was a potential hazard for sure.

While Shun made his way up towards the cliffs, he did notice that someone was sort of tailing him. A quick glance back and he just saw Chel there. With a roll of his eyes, he pushed onward, not really wanting to deal with her right now. He heard and saw the bouncing rocks long before the cause. It was hard to miss when one of them came bounding down in his direction. Stepping out of the way, he furrowed his brow while continuing on up. Eventually, he spotted the figure of the woman who was taking a stroll at the top. "Might want to watch where you are sending down rocks," he warned lowly.

Unfortunately for Shun, Chel was in decent shape. Not good considering the amount of wear and tear she did to her body on her own, but at least decent.
When Shun looked back she reached towards her back pocket to get the cuffs to wave at him, but he turned back around too quickly. "Stubborn a*****e." She was getting tired of doing this to herself.
She only watched the encounter from a distance for now; she still had to catch up to the twosome.

"Might want to blah blah blah who cares," said Sunny cheerfully. She kicked a rock off the cliff, pulled a pack of cigarettes out of her pocket, and lit one without bothering to use a lighter.

"I would, for one, if one of those had managed to smack me while I made my way here."Shun's fingers twitched a bit at that. Such disregard for safety. He couldn't help but stare as she pulled out a cigarette and... wait. How did that one light up? Maybe he had missed something. He wasn't sure. It didn't really matter all that much right now, anyway. With a huff, he looked her over. Was she the one? "So. Are you the one they call the 'Dark Lady', then?" he asked. While his features didn't show much, his tone suggested he wasn't all that impressed.

Chel eventually sauntered up, awkwardly holding up a hand. "Hey su-"
Oh but Shun was being all interogation cop and all. Right-o.
She shut her trap and put her hands on her hips, waiting for her turn to talk. Didn't want to interrupt the important folks.

Shun furrowed his brow. He didn't know what to make of this one. She certainly wasn't living up to her mysterious and seemingly mystical reputation so far, though. When Chel started to talk, he glanced over his shoulder and narrowed his eyes at the pink haired girl. "What are you... never mind," he grumbled, turning his attention back to Sunny, "Your reputation precedes, you Sunny. Mind if I ask you some questions about recent events? I am fairly new in town, and it seemed like you may know a thing or two."

"I don't got questions. Nice t'meet you Sunny. My name's Chel and this grump's Shun." She pulled the handcuffs out of her pocket and handed them to Shun; a silent explanation for why she was here.
Might as well get some friendly introductions out of the way in the mean time.

Sunny smiled, warm and sincere, at Chel. "I like your name," said Sunny, tucking her free hand into her pocket. Her cigarette smoke smelled of cloves, sweet herbs, and--of course--smoke. It was a fairly pervasive smell. "I already talked to Detective Mercer. What else do you need to know?"

When the handcuffs were passed over, he just sort of paused, then quickly shifted his bag around to check where he had normally kept them. Sure enough, they were missing. Cursing under his breath, he put them back and made sure they were secured this time before turning his attention back to Sunny. "This is more for my own curiosity, given that it has been awhile since the incidents happened in the first place. Best to get information from the source, if possible, and all. And from my understanding, you have had a number of people approach you for one reason or another as of late. So I suppose I will start with... what do you think happened to the lost, then?"

Chel did admittedly light up a bit as her name was complimented. It was nice to get some recognition, even for the little things. While Shun fiddled with his cuffs she added in a quick, "Yers is pretty cool too lady."
But then he began talking and she shut her mouth again. She turned to Sunny, actually curious of the lady's answer as well.

Sunny sighed, and sat down, having evidently decided this conversation was happening whether she was comfy or not and having decided to be comfy. "Didn't you guys decide they were just feeling their oats," asked Sunny. "I talk to a lot of people. It's kind of my job? What's the point of being a wandering psychic-slash-spooky-mystic-slash-scary-story if you don't talk to anyone?" She made a funny face at Chel, then grinned. "I think they went to the otherworld," she said. "To live out long and very short lives."
