She had gotten her family to take a trip, gotten them out of the city while she...vanished. She had claimed she would join them when she was done with a project, non-rev up to them, but…
She wasn’t. She had made a couple of videos, buried in little thumbdrives she had held onto from her middle school years. Buried between fanfics and labeled in Al Bhed that she knew her brother would recognize, if not her mother. [She had hidden it in an obvious spot in Badai’s suitcase, so he would find it AFTER they settled in and she would have already changed sides...and maybe herself. She had no idea what would happen, truly.]
But she knew she was in trouble. It was hard to miss the aura coming her way, after she’d not only not finished her mission, but she’d missed a ‘call’. But she couldn’t back out. She couldn’t. Chiku took a breath, and let the Chaos wash over her to turn her into Sphalerite before picking up the second thumbdrive and hiding it in her uniform. It was time to find Elpis. It was time to find out how to change. It was time to leave the Negaverse and its lies behind. It was time to stop being Sphalerite.
It didn't take her long to reach their 'usual spot'. _______________________________________________
[OOC: Welcome to the battle that leads into the purification of Sphalerite to Petra Page! We’re happy to have you all here! Once the fighting starts, we'll post info for the battle system, but there are some other ground rules that need laid out!
There will be no deaths! Sorry folks, this is not the RP for those dramatic goodbyes! All levels of injury are up to the players, but be smart about things! If someone gets hit, obviously it'll hurt, but if the person getting hit isn't up for maiming or serious injury, respect that! At this point, the only way to join the RP if you didn't sign-up is if you're called in by someone who signed up! Those who are calling in new folks, PLEASE make note of it and quote the newcomer, so I know! I will be posting once a day, to keep things going and to give people a chance to post! As such, please do not post more than three times a day! This is to help make sure everyone is on even ground and doesn't get left behind!

Super Sailor Elpis walked for the 'usual spot' to check on Sphalerite calmly, curious to see if her Chaos companion was present - maybe see what she was up to, what she planned on doing tonight.
Different teams or not, Elpis trusted Sphalerite enough to know she wouldn't kill unless needed if they were out together, and knew well enough to hold back if a staged fight was needed, the senshi even humming as she moved, nibbling the last of a begniet stolen from Kells' stash as she approached, and paused, spying Sphalerite after feeling her. The senshi tried reading her face, and one brow raised at the pure... Determination on her face.
The set jaw, perhaps, or perhaps her eyes, whichever it was... Elpis had a feeling something different was up, and Elpis approached Sphalerite with shoulders square, as if responding with her own body language.
"Sphal? You alright?" Elpis asked calmly. The senshi was internally fretting, and reached o ruffle her hair carefully, grinning.
"I can feel her." Cinnabar murmured to her companion as she crouched on the lip of a building, squinting down into the open space below. The aura had flared to life not so far away and the General was all but vibrating with the thrill of the hunt, even as her body remained still as a stone.
Beside her, the blonde captain who had warned her waited. They had worked well together in the past, and as one of Schörl's favorites, Zircon had always held interest for Cinnabar. She wasn't sure what it was that drew the other general to her... but it had to be more than the nerves and bluster she got from the shorter woman. Being consulted because of whisperings of a traitor was gratifying in a deep way. Her work was starting to make an impact... people were starting to take note.
Soon, she would cauterize the bleeding wound that these defections were and the Negaverse would be stronger for it.
"There is an order senshi with her... but I think we outweigh them, together. Keep an eye out though... this prey rarely travels alone." Cinn turned to give Zircon a look before she jumped down from the building, saving her energy by making a fast approach from the back rather than teleporting such a short distance.

"It's the same senshi as before," Zircon confirmed, her voice low as if they might be heard from that distance. The captain's eyes were cold, but nevertheless seethed with hatred for this Order-loving interloper. She was unlike Cinnabar in that she took no joy in this, only disgust and revulsion in the face of such a lack of respect for their queen. It wasn't entirely directed at Sphalerite--Zircon herself remembered her earlier years, her talks with Babylon and Kairatos and Hvergelmir before she'd found her resolve deep in the cell of her capture. But Sphalerite shared a dark secret with Zircon, perhaps one that Sphalerite remembered as well, and the captain was all too eager to put the lieutenant out of her misery.
The less people knew about a Zoji La, the better.
Zircon nodded at Cinnabar as she left, but did not follow. The captain did not have the luxury of jumping down to the streets below, not when she was still getting accustomed to the newly fitted prosthetic on her left leg. With a blink, she resettled herself in the same clearing as the other two, clearly in view of both the agent and the senshi. She was not much of a fighter, but what she could do was distract the pair, give Cinnabar time to get into position.
"Am I interrupting something?" Zircon crooned, unable to contain the wicked grin spreading across her face. It was just so...satisfying, catching someone else dead to rights. "Let's not waste time--Lieutenant, bring me that sailor's starseed."
It was a chance, one final chance, for Sphalerite to redeem herself. It wouldn't save her entirely, of course, but if she proved to have enough resolve to end the senshi's life then maybe she could be re-educated, instead of simply youmafied. Between the two options, Zircon secretly hoped the girl would try to resist.

Sphalerite shook her head, trying to give Elpis a small smile, even as she knew time was short. "Not at all! Just...I'm ready, Elpis. I'm done fighting for a lie." She was ready to start herding Elpis somewhere else, or have the other lead her elsewhere, and then...then the other Nega agent showed up. One that Sphal knew vaguely, and knew better in those hazy visions of a future that hadn't happened, hopefully wouldn't happen.
Zoji La. Zircon.
Very much Zircon, by virtue of the words she spoke and the Chaos she wore. Sphal's lips drew tight, her hands clenched into fists, and she shook her head even as she forced herself to loosen her stance instead of tensing up.
"No. I'm done being lied to." _______________________________________________

This round or next may be the time for Elpis to start the distress call!
Posted: Mon May 23, 2016 11:13 am
Elpis rubbed Sphalerite's shoulder understandingly, offering a warm smile before noticing the auras, and she suddenly snapped into focus, staring directly at Zircon with an illegible expression. Illehible, that is, until the senshi's mouth quirked into a half-smirk, eyes flashing with the dangerous light of one well accustomed to, and even pleased to fight.
"You heard Sphal. She made the choice of her own free will. And if you want to take that away..."
Elpis moved forward, mentally till minding the aura of far more Chaos than this Captain was putting out, and she grinned.
Maybe....
She used a hand to bring out her senshi phone, attempting discretion as she typed a text message, deciding to try sending it to anyone close by, and briefly wished Miss Kitty were present to ensure it worked. Still, Elpis could get SOMETHING out to SOMEONE, even if it were just her contacts. She didn't have Ferris now. She couldn't ask Ferris this time, to come - not after fighting Benitoite and his helper with her... Both of them.
And this Agent didn't seem to recognize the ettiquete of the battlefield.
Elpis looked at Zircon steadily, the grin on her face seeming to almost curl as Elpis allowed herself to grin finally, a feral, wild grin of one about to enjoy the fight.
"Get in the ring, ********. Nobody's touching Sphal without passing my cold dead rotting corpse, and I've no plans to die."
Order
In park w/ Defecting Nega need assistance due captain and general. Also need assistance w/ purification. KTHNX need to stab dipshits.
Elpis has put out a distress call! You may wait for Callisto to forward it, or get it from Elpis' blind sending - since Elpis doesn't know everyone. Cinnabar will also likely call in Chaos in a post or two, and then CHAOS! PANIC! DISORDER! Brting popcorn.
As a reminder so Das can keep up, it is asked you cap at 3 posts a day, since she works and if things move too fast she can't keep up. Thank you!

Hyperborea was luckily in the nearby area and received the vague distress call. She didn't hesitate at at all, she would not let any General or Captain keep a willing officer from purifying.
She summoned her war horn to her hand and called Cerynitis to her side. She mounted the white deer with the golden antlers and urged her forward sprinting towards the group of auras Hyperborea felt.
She quickly arrived on the scene and hopped off her summons, dispelling the ethereal deer in the process. She took noted of the scene there was a lieutenant, who looked vaguely familiar to Hyperborea and who she assumed was the defector in question, a Senshi, a Captain and the aura of a General, though Hyperborea didn't actually see the general in question.
"I'm here to help." She said to the senshi and lieutenant as she summoned her staff to her hand.

Sailor Callisto didn't power up much these days. She simply didn't see herself as being an asset to anyone, and she would much rather simply stay out of the fight than be a hindrance. Even now, she was only powered to stand guard over her sleeping girlfriend, because poor Trinity was in a worse state than her when it came to powering up.
When Elpis' text came through, she frowned - she'd only be a liability on the battlefield, but if there was a defecting Nega to aid, she knew who could help. Actually, she knew a few different names, but there was one foremost in her mind.
After forwarding the general message to every number she herself knew, just in case Elpis had missed some other names in her message, she sent another, more personal message to Ganymede's phone.
Sunshine Alouette
Ganymede, got a nega who wants purified over in the park but it sounds like there's trouble - think you're up to help them out?
Zircon raised her eyebrows, and through the thin veil of her lips she scoffed. "You're done being lied to? And you turned to a senshi?" The captain shook her head with a disapproving tut of her teeth, stepping closer.
"You have to know how this ends," she spoke smoothly, unable to hide the ugly limp to her gait as she closed the distance between them. She was growing stronger on the replacement limb, but it was a work in progress, a slowly healing wound that still ached and tingled. "When they rip the chaos from your starseed, they'll sunder a piece of you in the process, destroying your memories, and whatever it is you think you're defecting for, you'll forget it all and have nothing, no guidance, no family, nothing."
Her eyes glanced over to the senshi of metal, keeping wary of a potential strike. "If it's this one you need so badly, a short talk with Laurelite is all you'd need and she could be yours." Zircon herself didn't see the utility in keeping senshi as pets, but different strokes, it wasn't her place to decide what other officers did with their playthings.
"Though if you'd prefer to be a rotting corpse, by all means, make my day," she licked her teeth as she glanced to Elpis, waving her over with a single curled finger. Let the senshi rile herself up, let her come to Zircon, just as long as it bought them enough time to get Cinnabar into position. She wasn't going to waste energy on starting a fight, but if she could just get Elpis to slip, make a mistake, then that starseed would be hers, and then she could begin to renegotiate with the lieutenant.
A knight arrived, and Zircon scowled, noting the effervescent opal sheen of the woman. "This doesn't concern you," she called out, keeping her eyes on the senshi. "Run back to the Cauldron and let us manage our affairs in peace."

Liryn had been out and about on his rounds when he felt the auras - three chaos auras of the Negaverse variety and one order one.
A frown flitted across his whiskered face because whilst the order aura felt like that of a Super Senshi, it was still three on one...
And one of the chaotic auras held the deep, cold chill of a Negaverse aura.
He sent a message to Athene, before remembering belatedly that the dark-haired eternal was out of town with his cousin.
Although Liryn wasn't about to let that stop him from trying to track all the auras down...
Fortunately they were all relatively close by and didn't seem to be moving and so whilst tracking auras wasn't an exact science it didn't take him too long to track them all down.
It was still, however, longer than he would have liked.
He trotted towards the Super Senshi, realising as he did so that he was not the only one to be drawn by the auras as he spotted the Cosmos Knight.
And then he spotted the Lieutenant by the Super Senshi, his purplish eyes glancing on confused for the moment as it sunk in that the Lieutenant didn't seem to be attacking the senshi before he turned to face the Captain and the General both...
Before whilst Liryn wasn't quite sure of just what was going on, he wasn't about to let that stop him from sticking a paw or even considerably more than a paw in.
Quote:
I will try to toss in Oort as soon as I can, but for now have a Liryn
Hyperborea couldn't help the smirk on her face. Did this captain really expect that to work. "I don't fully know whats going on but it looks like you're trying to bully this lieutenant out of purification, that makes this my concern." She responded to the woman.
"Now if you truly want peace then turn around and leave, I won't stop you but if you intend to interfere in a purification I will stop you and if I have to stop you I promise I'll make it painful." She warned leveling the point of her star-topped staff at the captain's throat.
"So why don't you and your general, where ever they're hiding, just run back to Metalia, before I send you home crying." She growled. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted the appearance of another ally in the form of a guardian cat, she wondered if they had any combat ability.

"Sphalerite. I'm disappointed in you."
The General's voice came before she stepped out into the open, pacing with smooth and even steps towards the growing gathering. With Zircon on the other side, they had them trapped, but what had been two enemies had blossomed to four. The defector, two senshi, and a somewhat familiar knight. Cinnabar paid them little mind, her eyes instead focused on the lieutenant she had trained once, many months ago.
Zircon was attempting to reason with the girl, but it was obvious, at least to Cin, that the time for reasoning was past. She had worked herself up to leaving and now the only response they could give would be fast, and harsh. The thought of her own captain, slipping through her fingers, brought a wave of rage that darkened the edges of her vision. It wouldn't happen this time... she wouldn't give up another officer.
"Metallia does not suffer traitors." She spat, her voice a feral rasp. Pulling her hands from her pockets, she flexed her fingers and black claws slid from the tips, sharp as razors. "You're not leaving, and as punishment for your betrayal... I'm going to eat your friend's starseed while you watch. Maybe then you'll see the error of your ways."
There were too many people for her and Zircon to take on alone... they might win, but the math on those odds were not as heavily in their favor as she liked. Focusing, her lips pulled back from her teeth in a silent snarl, Cinnabar ripped open reality with a thought. A dark portal opened and from it poured a handul of youma, shrieking and gibbering as they milled about.
Cinnabar grinned and with a grind of heel on concrete she launched herself towards the group. The youma with her roared as they spun and followed her lead, mindlessly going for anything that looked like a likely target.
(( Cin has called a small group of feral youma into the fray! They should attack anything that's not an upper level nega agent. I can send out a call for nega agents in my next post, unless Zircon wants to make the call. If we get any more order people, they won't be able to handle it all with just youma backup ))
When Hyperborea saw the half-youma general a memory flashed in her mind. A memory of that very general with her hand embedded in a younger Hyperborea's chest, mocking her and lying to her.
Her rage began to boil over, doubly so after the general's little threat to eat starseeds. That was an unforgivable crime, and Hyperborea would make her pay for even suggesting it.
"So much for peace." She muttered as the general summoned Youma to the fight. She really hoped some other order fighters arrived soon. But for now she had to take out the most serious threat.
She moved quickly to close the distance between her and the general going to swing the crystal wing of her staff straight into the demon woman's head. "You, senshi I'm leaving the captain to you I'll handle this general." She called out before turning her full attention on her opponent
"You'll take no starseeds today, demoness." She growled

Sphal wasn't expecting to see a vaguely familiar face join them [had she once fought the knight? she really did seem familiar]. And Zircon's words didn't surprise her. "Elpis is my friend. She has never lied to me, and has always told me the truths the Negaverse seemed to always conveniently forget to inform me about." Cinnabar's voice, though...
That voice sent a shiver down her spine, even with Elpis and the Knight nearby. Of course it would be a familiar face that hunted her.
"You won't touch her, and I am leaving. Metallia can dislike traitors all she likes, but maybe she shouldn't lie to her soldiers!" The youma summoned didn't surprise her, the small lieutenant summoning her weapon to her hand and taking a stance. She would apologize to everyone for causing so much trouble later. They needed to focus on fighting at that moment. "I can try and distract the youma, Elpis." And she hoped more help might come because with the addition of the youma, they needed it. _______________________________________________

Super Sailor Elpis - 30HP
Elpis didn't flinch, one brow simply raising at both agents of Chaos. She wasn't as intimidated as she expected - Cinnabar was a PMSing version of Coffinite, clearly (and probably more dangerous, but Elpis wasn't focusing on the danger to herself like she ought), and the Super Senshi just boredly tilted her head at the duo before grinning to Hyperborea. Having help was vastly appreciated - Knight or Senshi.
The appearance of a cat she didn't know briefly drew her attention from combat, and on instinct Elpis offered Liryn an arm to move to, in case he decided to seek higher ground, before looking to Sphalerite. The senshi nodded, before shifting, arm remaining available for Liryn as she braced for battle, snorting.
"Wow. Cheating. Knew the rules of engagement weren't going to be followed. Rude." Elpis snorted, eyes rolling. "At least I could get backup." Well, some.
Cordoba, Page of Mercury - 25HP
*Cordoba is replacing Sailor Ferris in this battle! Since whoops Meta messed up Ferris' life.
The Page was out walking mostly to void thinking about some family affairs. It was a nice evening, she felt, quiet, calm, and - and full of congregating auras. Cordoba frowned, briefly pausing to determine if it was an Order meeting or not before the page frowned, groaning and facepalming. No, no, this felt like a forming Battle ********, and a big one, and the page decided it better to offer her discs here, when she already failed so spectacularly in a club to help.
The Mercury page almost danced on her way towards the auras, barely landing on a space before moving again, leap by leap before spotting the forming - no, there were Youma now. It wasn't forming, it was a certain ********, and Cordoba groaned. She didn't really recognize anybody, but allies were allies -- although Sphalerite seeming to turn on other Chaos members earned a curious look, and the page began stalking towards the battle before she spun a disc on one finger, addressing the group idly.
"Oh come on, you guys weren't planning to tnrow a rave wiuthout the DJ were you ? You disappoint me."
Was she being sarcastic? Yes. Yes she was. Highly.
