The Festival of Abundance occurs at the height of spring and is designed to celebrate the enormous life in the Swamp at this time. For the younger kin, the Festival of Abundance may be a time simply for feasting till the belly aches, but for mature kin, the night times of the Festival are a time, quite simply, for unrepentent romance. For weeks following this festival, the swamp is full of clutches of new eggs. With all of the MotherFather's children reunited in the Swamp, this annual festival has grown larger than any have ever seen. With the arrival of the Kimeti's cousins came the different springtime rituals and practices of the lands beyond the Swamp. Gathered for celebration, kin share these practices with each other as they all feast and play games with each other. Festival of Abundance Prompts Below you will find five prompts, one related to each of the races of Matope. Responding to these prompts is not required to participate in this event. Please keep all your solo prompt responses in one thread; you can write as much or as little as you want, but if you reach 500 words in response to a single prompt, that response can count as a legendary requirement (limit 1 solo per kin). However, there is no limit on the amount of PRPs or ORPs you may complete to receive legendary requirements. Please put your threads in the regular RP forum!

Kimeti: White Flower Courtship
Green and white are the colours of this festival making white flowers especially prized courtship gifts. Kin everywhere are gathering white flowers and bringing them to the objects of their affection. Extravagant displays catch the attention of some kin, but for others, they are waiting for a special someone to approach. Does your kin woo with flowers and poetry or are they just going for the biggest bouquet? Is your kin green and white, attracting a lot of suitors at the gathering?
RP out a white flower courtship! Responses to this prompt can be used as a breeding RP!

Kiokote: Log Slide Ride
Spring means the thawing of the ground on the Plains which brings racing and games. In the Swamp, the ground does not freeze the same way, but Kiokote are still keen to celebrate the end of winter with running. While some Kiokote are off playing games against each other, some have decided to share their speed with the young kin of the Swamp. They have fashioned elaborate harnesses out of vines that they've tied to hollow logs. Young kin clamber into the hollow log to be raced around. Other adults are invited to join in as runners, delighting the young kin at the event.
RP your kin(s)'s involvement with this activity however you like! Are they a rider or a runner? Did they coerce a friend into being a runner? Or are they playing the "monster" and chasing the runners and fillies and colts around? You tell us!

Acha: Muddy Relaxation
In the desert, even in the oases that Acha populate, water is scarce compared to the wet Swamp. With the spring rains, Acha take advantage of the abundant water to indulge and do what they do best: be hedonists. They aren't selfish though, happy to share their pleasures with other kin. For the celebration, Acha have cleaned out pools of mud, carefully fishing out sticks and other pieces of debris to create the most comfortable and luxurious mud baths possible. They've even found volunteers to bring food and drink to the bathers.
Is your kin a bather or a volunteer or both? What do you say when you're taking a mud bath with someone? Is a mud bath really as great as the Acha make it out to be?

Totoma: Recuperation
Mountain-born totoma have a history of war, but most kin do not. Besides, not everyone is suited for the vigorous physical workout of sparring, and it is important to keep your body in top shape. Constantly engaging in physical battle with other kin might mean you're gaining experience, but it also means you've probably gotten a number of new bruises and sprains from the experience. Some totoma are sharing their tribe's traditional poultices, and helping kin learn how to tie large branches to their legs in the case of broken bones. Other kin are re-learning how their own remedies can be applicable to these new experiences.
Write about your kin healing physical injuries, whether theirs or someone else's. This can be anything: a solo where your kin works on their own injuries, a PRP where a totoma teaches another kin strategies for dealing with their injuries, or a PRP where one kin helps heal another.

Zikwa: Pay It Forward
The effects of the passing seasons have traditionally been muted for zikwa, who live in caves underground. However, they're never going to sit back and ignore an opportunity to spread their message of family and community. This spring, they've taken it upon themselves to perform spontaneous good deeds for kin they happen across over the course of the festivities. When asked what they're owed, they happily reply that any debt would be satisfied by performing a good deed for some future stranger.
RP your kin running into a stranger and paying a good deed forward, or being asked to do so. Do they continue the trend? What do they think of the task - is it overly optimistic to expect that kin will actually keep their word? Is it a good way to make connections?
