Initiative ❧ When you've gathered your participants, everyone starts the initiative phase. ❧ Each participant must roll 1d20 to decide what order to post in. Highest rolls will go first, lowest rolls last. Fight ❧ After everyone participating has rolled their initiative, the fight phase may begin. ❧ Players will take turns, according to the initiative order, rolling one or two d10 dice. ❧ The first die determines what kind of attack you make. Rolling 1-5 means you missed your attack. Rolling 6-9 means you landed your attack. Rolling a 10 means you made a critical hit. ❧ A successful attack does 1 HP of damage. A successful crit does 2 HP of damage. ❧ The second die indicates you choose to use a magic attack or use magic to amplify your physical attack. Rolling a 1-4 with this die means your spell failed. (If your normal attack landed, it will still do damage, but you will receive no magic benefit, and lose 1 MP anyways) ❧ Rolling 5 or 6 will amplify your damage by 1 point, and cost 2 MP. 7 or 8 by 2 points and cost 3 MP. 9 or 10 will add 3 points and cost 4 MP ❧ If you have more than one opponent, please specify who you are attacking. Victory ❧ Winning a private battle will give you 1 shop point. ❧ Please make note in the thread topic that your battle is finished, and I or a manager will make a short OOC note of you receiving the shop point and the potential item you could win (randomized). Then the winner must roll 1d4 to see if they win the item as well. 1-2 is fail, 3-4 is win. If you roll an attack and it hits, and roll a magic attack higher than your current mana, then you just use the highest magic attack you can afford If your attack misses, you just ignore the magic roll If you run out of mana, you can still keep battling but just roll the first dice, doing physical attacks Posting this so we don't have to keep looking in the battle info thread. Dark Storm had wanted to test his strength for some time now, but as he continuously chased storms he hardly ever stopped to meet other Elykosi. Now was his chance to do so. The storm he had been chasing was now gone, and with its disappearance he had met someone for the first time since he came around into this world.
He began to size up his opponent, analyzing him nearly in the same way as he observed the storms he followed across the lands. He watched his movements waiting to see which of them would make the first move in this little test of strength of theirs.

After watching his opponent for a while Dark Storm made his move. He started by charging his opponent, keeping his eyes upon him encase he decided to dodge his attack. At the right moment Dark Storm flung his body weight into Arivan, slamming into him.

Arivan moved silently on his paws, trying not to give anything away to his opponent. It was the first time he was facing off against Dark Storm and, while there was a feeling of play involved, Ari still wanted to win. So, he countered Dark Storm's inquistive stare by keeping himself in motion. Still, he wasn't sure how well that was going to work.
Arivan was still thinking about the best way to throw Dark Storm off his game when his opponent struck, his hit landing squarely and sending Arivan sprawling backward.
Regaining his feet and shaking himself off, he launched a careless attack, as fast as he could, hoping to catch Dark Stor off guard. Snarling softly when he missed, Ari chided himself. He should have taken more time in his attack, he'd know better for next time. But for know, he prepared for Dark Storm's next attack.

Dark Storm was easily able to dodge the incoming attack. Feeling quite confident in his own skills a small grin came across the male's face. He moved in for his next attack, but due to his over confidence the attack would be easily read.

Amused at his opponents arrogance, he dodged quickly and easily, returning Dark Storm's smile with a mocking one of his own. If he could keep this up, dodging his attacks, then perhaps he had a chance to win against his stronger opponent. Who knew that chasing storms would make one so strong?
That in his mind, he lundged forward, teeth snapping on empty air as his attack missed, once again, making him wonder if he was going to get in a hit at all this battle.

Nearly loosing his own footing Dark Storm ended up just barely dodging the snapping attack of the other. It had been quite the close call, a bit too close for his comfort. That would have to change.
This time he took his time, making sure he would not miss the other with this next attack of his. Fortifying his body with Mana he once more charged at the other flinging his weight into him. It had worked before so he figured tossing his body weight around would work again.

Arivan grunted and hit the dirt, rolling so that Dark Storm wouldn't have a chance to follow up the attack. Not that he would, considering the type of spar the were having, but it was more like instinct, designed to keep him safe as possible.
Still, Arivan shook himself, trying to focus enough to hold the mana and attack at the same time. The last hit really threw him for a loop, though, and the magic slipped through his paws even before he managed to attack. Unsuccessfully.

Once more Dark Storm had been able to dodge the others attack. Dodging and attacking seemed to be working the best. Keeping from getting hurt was always the right idea.
Dark Storm snapped at the other. This time also trying to enhance his attack with mana, but failed to do so. Still he was able to grab a bit of flesh with his teeth.

Arivan was tiring quickly. For some reason, he hadn't been able to land an attack so far, and while it was vexing, it was also rather interesting. Made him want to learn more aout his opponent, about what power he had that made him able to avoid Arivan's attacks so easily.
Yelping at the sudden bite, he spun around and tried to retaliate, teeth snapping closed, once again, on empty air. Backing off slightly, trying to get some distance between him and his opponent, thinking maybe it would help him in the next round, Arivan worked his jaw a bit, teeth protestest his mistreatment of them.

Letting his jaw retract quickly he was able to dodge the other's incoming attack. Dark Storm put a bit of distance between him and Arivan before charging at the other. Flinging his entire body weight down on top of him.

Arivan grunted, legs giving out under him at the force of Dark Storm's attack. Snapping playfully at him, Arivan rolled back to his feet, though his legs were a bit shaky. The battle was over, that much was clear. Ari sat down, panting, but grinning, too. It had been a fun battle, even though he had never landed a hit.
Shaking his head ruefully, he promised himself that next time would be better, and got back to his feet, already planning on going back to his den and sleeping this loss off. With a respectful nod, he made a limping trot back home.Zakiax Congrats! Go ahead and roll to see if you get a prize and I will put finished in the title!

Dark Strom was quite pleased with his win, however he knew that he couldn't become over confident after this. He may have become strong after chasing all the storms, but it did not mean that he was the strongest one out there.
After this Dark Storm will want to find another opponent to test his strength against. The stronger he got the longer he will be able to chase the storms he desired.
