I was thinking it would be like one large land with mountains that chop it up and kinda outline the land, making it hard to travel. there might be areas further past the sea, but since the ocean has a lot of veins, and some lakes there are areas for fishing

How big is the area? Europe/Australia or China? If it's smaller we can have one major climate with more temperate weather to the main coasts and some 'safe' spots created on the lee sides of some of the larger mountains.

well i was more thinking about that all the people who die go to the ancestors; and that nature protects them

i am fleshing out the culture
; lots of fur, trappings. They thank the animals for what is given, and never waste any parts. The towns are rather small, each have local customs but usually they are very welcoming and share what they have. Families are rather large, though villages are 100-400 people max. They use wood and stone for houses; fishing in the warmer seasons, hunting in the colder seasons. It does not get too warm inland; probably 70's max. Lots of trees, and people believe to protect the forests, they plant a baby tree by every new house, as protection and good luck. if the tree thrives, they will have a prosperous life. the eldest always gets their parent's home; and they plant a bush as a grave marker; berries grow=watched over by their loved ones. They have reindeers to pull their buggies and sleighs; pets are often raising animals instead; somewhat of a farm life for many; there are those who are craftsmen. They have a simple life in many of the smaller villages
the larger ones have wizards and the technology is much more advanced. While there is no restrictions on visitors, their traditions are different, and they often are confusing to people not raised in that town. I am still fleshing it all out; but so far this is the basics


well, yes. i know. I think everyone will be taught some basic skills of hunting/fishing and such
pottery, weaving, and more for whoever is good at it. etc. XD was only tellign the basics.


Looking online I like Bird Cherries (Prunus padus). They've got lovely white flowers, technically edible fruits, and attract birds. Maybe there's a custom of planting them on graves as an offering to the birds to carry
