As the ground thawed and softened Glain knew the time was coming. She had been testing the loam with her sharp talons every day until she judged the earth just right. And so, with pouches of seeds and little green seedlings she took to her garden to plant. It would take all day to finish the work -- needing first to till the ground with her talons before being able to plant anything. It was a labor of love, however, and Glain treasured each sweaty moment. Her talons slid into the soil, cutting and turning it to release the scent of life locked within. She hummed the tune of sowing to herself while she worked, imagining her sisters working in the fields themselves. She longed to be with them, in times like this. But then... oh Shuckles. She did not hold his fear against him but the Flock was no life for him. Perhaps another, brave stallion but... Glain had no place in her heart for anyone else.
Once the earth was tilled, Glain turned to the map she had drawn. She had drawn out the locations of each herb and crop, careful not to plant certain things together, and on the other hands careful to match up other plants. Next she went through, piercing the earth with her talons in perfect lines and rows.
Yes. A very happy day of work indeed.

Omni decided to go on another day of adventure and see things she hadn't seen before. She already went out a few times before so it wasn't that horrible of an idea. All she had to do was stay within the boundaries her parents set up for her. But off she went wandering and keeps a close eye on her surroundings in case there was a predator or something of the sort close by. She hadn't met anything deadly yet and she would like to keep it that way especially since she was only so small. She couldn't really defend herself.
Today was different. The spirits were still guiding her along her path, but there was definitely something different in the air. She didn't know what it was, but she was definitely curious so she continued on. She couldn't help how curious she was and definitely couldn't help that she didn't show any signs of fear. But when she arrived at what appeared to be a mare tending to something, she paused tilting her head slightly to the side. "Hello. What are you doing?" She asked as she stood there keeping her eyes on the older taloned mare.
She didn't know what the other was doing and certainly didn't know if she was a friend or foe. She didn't seem to be aggressive, but looks weren't always the answer to everything. "Your a harpy aren't you?" The only reason she knew this was because her father told her that some others in her family line use to belong to the flock. It sounded intimidating, but she found it intriguing. She loved learning about other qualities of life. "If you don't mind...I would like to learn more..more about you and what your doing." She spoke softly as she walked closer to the mare showing no fear in her at all.
