As is becoming somewhat of a tradition, the Boardwalk is again flooded with light, sound, and activity. Now that Civisect City is a thriving sparkling coastal jewel of a city, Bloodfest's activity is combined with the natural background hustle and bustle of trolls living and working in the same area. The sponsored and approved booths with a variety of colourful characters leering out of them compete with the street vendors that surround any disoriented looking troll and drown them in offers for 'very expensive, limited edition' trinkets and baubles.
Delicious smells waft in the air, and sounds compete for dominance in your sponge clots, all of them doing their best to lure your attention towards wherever they originate from.
If you step off the boardwalk and onto the snow you will find the games taking place, most with at least a small handful of spectators, depending on the intensity and activity taking place in the designated 'competition zones'. Farther down is the fairground, boasting quite the impressive array of fast and furious rides. Heading inland will bring you to the massive hotels that mark the centre of the festivities, and beyond that, the sparkling buildings of Civisect City.

OOC information
Here your trolls can hang out, comment on the games taking place, or just enjoy a yummy beetle kebab. This thread encompasses all non-event activity taking place in every area of Civisect City's beaches, so feel free to have your trolls visit the hotels, gift shops, beach, or even the fair ground. This thread will remain open until June 12th.

Accepted quest trolls that are partaking in Bloodfest are allowed to roleplay in this thread!

Building this new city was the best thing that ever happened to New Hemisect! Nothing complimented the ocean breeze like fine dining and boutique shopping. Why hadn't anyone capitalized on this primo waterfront earlier?

Didero bit into the piece of coffee cake he was holding. Crumbs and cinnamon landed in the folds of his scarf, which he was then forced to shake out. A couple of fearless seagulls meandered about his feet, capitalizing on Didero's messy eating. Didero watched them waddle around, careful not to repeat himself with the hot coffee he was holding in his other hand.

From his position at the edge of the boardwalk he could hear the noise and see the lights of the distant Bloodfest booths. It seemed like a grand old time, but Didero needed to gather himself before heading into the fray. If he was going to go shopping, he wanted to operate at maximum efficiency.

Not unlike a previous boardwalk experience...

"NO You stupid ********> FEATHERBEAST! GIVE IT BACK!"

Cue one Trusci Modsat. Wind: 1, Seagulls: 5, Trusci: 0. Sometimes, life just gave you lemons. Trusci knew this all too well, unsurprisingly. One freak gust of wind, one asinine bird, and now she was chasing the creature down the boardwalk with absolute reckless abandon. It looked like it was starting to descend towards something. This was good.

"DON'T MAKE ME USE THESE GUNS Y'HEAR?" not that Trusci had any guns, but she did have wicked mind powers, and she wasn't afraid to use th—

Suddenly: shouting. And not the fun, excited-at-Bloodfest kind. Didero looked up with a mouthful of coffeecake. The seagulls loitering about him took off despite all the crumbs he was spilling. White feathers filled his vision and then-

Didero was suddenly horizontal in the air. He landed on the rough planks of the boardwalk with a dull thud. He wheezed the air back into his lungs and took stock of the situation. His coffee was gone from his paper cup, which lay squashed in his hand. His remaining bit of cake had likely already been carried off by the gulls. He opened his eyes that had been squeezed shut from the incident. The sky was lovely tonight.

Finally out of that damned swamp. While the company was.....almost....nice, Miache certainly hated the locale. Sure they weren't trudging around in the muck, but he wanted nothing to do with such a filthy place...unless of course it meant keeping him out of trouble with Royalist supporters. Ugh, he'd even taken to a disguise outside the swamp. While the sweater vest was rather comfortable it just didn't feel the same...and the lack of pinstripe made him feel horribly out of fashion....though....we WAS loving the tie. It felt a little....classy, casual classy, and he certainly was a troll to appreciate the finer things. And letting his hair down had an oddly.....freeing feeling to it. He hadn't noticed how constricting and heavy his hair felt when it was always up rather tight.

Festival food wasn't terribly...healthy...or the best choice of eatery....but he definately couldn't complain about the occasional treat. Though the suddenly....LOUD other troll made him cringe slightly, shying his own stick-a-beetle away from the flappy assholes. He cringed at the collision, watching the older troll topple over a younger greenblood. What a tasteless display of clumsiness. Would it be too impolite to cross as far as possible from the two? Ugh, or maybe if he simply walked away...though....he had to admit a certain level of appreciation for the yellowblood's fashion. The colours were simple and fashionable, and that jacket was very chic. If only there was a certain lowblood he associated with far too often that could have such a fashion sense. While a plain black dress was sensible and a very reasonable attire.....it was so uninteresting!

Miache quickly finished the stick of food, trying to prevent altercations with the local birds, eyeing them warily as if they would still be interested in attacking him. He tossed the stick into a waste recepticle before wiping his gloves on a cloth he kept handy. Well....whatever he was going to eat next....it wouldn't be whatever she was eating!

Bloodfest was in full swing. The sound of frivolous trolls of all ages could be heard almost everywhere. So much had happened already just in the past few nights of the festival. The redblood, Fellah, hadn't spent much time around large crowds in quite a while. In fact he couldn't remember the last time he'd seen more than one or two trolls at the same time.
His farm in the plains was gorgeous, relaxing, and let him stay aloof and carefree. Some times it was beautiful, but other times it was crushingly lonely.

Taking a stroll out to the very end of the boardwalk, Fellah was hoping to take a quick breather from all the commotion. As the trolls became less and less concentrated, he picked a spot on the boardwalk railing to lean up against. The farm troll took a long look over the water, watching the stars twinkle, one of his favorite pastimes when he had nothing else to do.
Taking advantage of a calm moment, he hummed quietly to himself, taking stock of all the hectic games and interactions he's had so far. It wasn't something he liked to ruminate on often, but being around so many other trolls really reminded him of just how important the hemospectrum was. A recent run-in with a purpleblood at her booth had reminded him of that. For the most part he didn't mind. But, every once in a while he wondered what it would be like to be sitting on the other side of that spectrum.

Rasali stretched her arms up over her head. As fun as the festivities were, it was nice to get away for a walk that didn't involve side-stepping a thousand excitable trolls. Not that the boardwalk wasn't populated. It was a mainstay of Civisect tourism. However, people were much calmer about walking to and from shops and restaurants than they were when any sort of competition was involved. Rasali herself included. She missed being a sporty troll. She would have loved to hit up that booth with all the skateboards and jousting and stuff. Unfortunately that wasn't something Peikoe would do. Peikoe could only do stuff that wasn't restricted by heeled shoes.

Rasali passed by a window display where she looked over her reflection. Hair still in place, makeup untouched, horns symmetrical. Being "pretty" was more fun when it was for a special occasion. Being pretty all the time was hard work.

She found herself with a renewed respect for the Moon Scouts.

Kursha took over the booth for her on this night, much to her appreciation, which left room for her to fully enjoy the grounds. After a couple of booths, however, she needed a break. As much as she loved the festivities and exciting atmosphere, Elidae took to the boardwalk for some fresh air away from all the commotion. Pulling the sleeves of her sweater down, she played with the hem as she walked along, passing all the boutiques. Of course, she couldn't afford anything, but it was always nice to look at what was "in". She knew this area pretty decently, frequenting the mall and what not. It was always so pretty this time of year, with the glittering snow and lights. Civisect was certainly a lot nicer than New Hemisect, that was for sure.

Surprised, she noticed a familiar troll who happened a few times in her booth looking into a shop window. She saw many faces within the duration of Bloodfest, but hers in particular seemed to have been engraved in her memory. Not only her pretty face, but also the stunning outfit that clung to her gorgeous curves. Elidae was always starry-eyed when seeing a fashionable troll, especially one in heels. Unfortunately, she never got talk to her about it, only calling out a compliment before tending to other participants. But now she could.

Jogging over, Elidae waved with enthusiasm at Peikoe, donning a friendly grin. "Oh my gosh! Hi!" Coming to a halt in front of her, Elidae brushed a few strands of her bangs out of her face, a few puffs of clouded breath escaping her mouth from the run over. After a moment, Elidae frantically waved her hands, shaking her head. "Sorry! Hi, I'm just really excited to see you! I remember you stopping by my booth a couple times- lollipops, right? You got some poprocks!" As a genuine smile grew, the freckled yellowblood seemed to be leaning in with raised brows.

Rasali was still tilting her head to check the angle of her faux horns when she heard a cheerful voice calling out at a progressively louder volume. She turned and immediately tried to mask her dread. Thank god and Aandes for these heavy bangs shading her eyes.

Elidae was immediately speaking, explaining her reason for approaching. It gave Rasali just enough time to adjust to the situation. Even if she was under a lot of stress, Rasali was still an extrovert. Maybe this wouldn't go as badly as she was expecting?

"O-oh yes, I remember. You have good taste in prizes." Rasali smiled. Her voice got stronger as she fell into characters. "Peikoe, Peikoe, Peiko," she repeated to herself mentally.

Immediately, Elidae's whole being brightened. With very little idea to her company's trepidation, the girl rocked on her heels with glee. "Oh! Thank you!" She exclaimed, clapping her hands together and placing them on the side of her cheek. "Everyone likes candy. Heheh." She was quick to push the conversation in the direction she wanted, if only she could give her compliments. But also to get information.

"But oh! You have good taste in clothes." Elidae gushed, motioning to the outfit she had been admiring all of Bloodfest. "I've been seriously wanting to ask you- where did you get that dress? It looks marvelous on you! And those boots! Ahh!"

Aaaaand there it was. At least it wasn't a surprise. Rasali had enough time to formulate a response.

"Oh this?" Rasali pressed a hand to her cheek and then immediately wondered if she was laying it on too thick. "Thank you! This outfit was a gift actually. From my matesprit." Rasali was getting better at not wincing while saying that.

"He's running a booth here as well. He's the owner of the Starlight Talent Agency, Aandes LaMode. He's Odette Cygnet's agent? With what he's up to he has all kinds of fashion connections." Rasali was basically tittering. The fact that she wasn't actually lying helped her to regain her footing.

"I take it you've got an interest in fashion? Is it professional? You certainly went all-out in your booth design, so you don't strike me as much of a hobbyist." When in doubt: spin the conversation back around. Rasali smiled and extended a hand, careful of her long nails. "I'm Peikoe Dubrow, by the way. I assume from your booth that you're Miss... Bonbon; am I right?"

Luxara, looking a little more haggard than at the start of the festivities, did her best to walk with some kind of flounce despite feeling wobbly. She still wasn't over the Kursha thing. The rebel needed to find more of her ilk, but it was so hard to tell who was who. Except one person so far. Which was probably a good thing, since they were supposed to be in hiding.

She wandered the boardwalk, trying to figure out what in the hell she was going to do. It was weird, having all these connections but at the same time being completely alone.

While zoning out in thought, she started to hear some chatter a little ways off. Luxara turned her head towards it in vague recognition. And there stood the girl from the Bonanza booth, plus Rasali in disguise. Talking. Almost too good to be true.

The 'yellowblood' darted over, wanting to run at top speed, but had to reel it in. In what was more of a slight stomp, she butted her way into the conversation because, honestly, whatever it was about didn't mean a singular damn thing in her eyes.

"Ohhhh, I recognize you two! I thought you looked familiar." She sent a side-smile Rasali's way. Hey, girl. "We should rendezvous at the Library again sometime, sweetlips." But not really. Never again. Oh, god.

Next she focued on Elidae. There was a lot she wanted to say, but couldn't, but at least she could use her to get her point across. "And youuuu run that cute li'l booth, don't you? Or maybe co-run?" She tilted her head in mock confusion. "The other night I was there, and in your place there was this greenblood with very unique blood marks around his eyes and I think on his neck? His hair was also....something else. Not very cohesive, don't you think? Long but bunchy. What a fashion statement! I never got his name or yours, dearie."

And she flicked her gaze over to Rasali. Pointedly. Trying to will her to get what she had just gone over. "Or yours."

Xionek Heronn
(Keionx Rutace)

Keionx was taking a moment from the festivities to walk along the boardwalk and reflect on just how much her life had changed, just since the last time she had walked on these boards.

She hung back to the rail, watching. Her eyes were the only unexposed part of her face - Xionek, as a character, liked to bundle up and cover themselves, a mysterious hero indeed. She watched the collision quietly, and the happy, bustling lives of the trolls on the walkway.

She never wanted to be a mysterious hero. There was an allure to it, but not enough to sustain her overly long. Keionx wanted to be known, to have tales told about her adventures, to be admired. She couldn't be that if she was anonymous.

Her gaze drifted along the boardwalk, resting on a VERY familiar set of horns. She moved gracefully, moving to walk alongside of him. "What are you up to?" she asked, her scarf muffling her voice, "Away from the civilized festivities, I am surprised at thee." it was mostly teasing. Miache was an enigma... but she was... happy? To see him?

Psykgi Mentha

Psy took a moment to look out over the ocean and the beach, smiling as she gazed into the night sky. She loved the waterfront. She loved everything her city had to offer.

Civisect was a beautiful place and, sure, it was hard to live there as a lowblood, but really. Being a redblood made it hard everywhere. It was a non-issue for Psykgi.

She breathed in the cool air, and thought about... nothing in particular, her mind adrift...

Sephos Arbola

Maku had to leave the city, briefly, for reasons of the treebeasts own. Sephos was supposed to stay in his booth for the duration, and he knew it was safe there, but after a few hours of punkin stuff and people stuff, Sephos had to get out of there.

He brought an armful of flowers and paper and ribbons and such and sat on a bench, staring unhappily out into the beachfront. He knew that it was as alive as anyplace else - Maku said so - but it seemed so empty. So dead. So sandy. He began to assemble bouquets, grumbling to himself about... everything.

"Ooohhh! I know Aandes LaMode! Well, I've only met him once." She waved offhandedly, then continued. "That's sooo cute and romantic though!" With literal stars in her eyes, Elidae laced her fingers together, desperately wanting to ask how they met. Maybe for another time! For now, she learned the greenblood's name and offered her own, taking the girls hand and giving it a gentle shake. "Ah, yes! Bonbon is my surname. You can call me Elidae! It's so nice to meet you, Peikoe!" Just about to go on to address her hobbies in fashion and all things, a voice belonging to a yellowblood grew louder as it neared. Oh! She recognized her, as well. She giggling at the nickname given to Peikoe, watching the two curiously. Did they know each other?

"Hehehe- eh?" Elidae seemed to startle at the sudden direct attention, putting a hand on her collar bone. Her expression soon dissolved back to normal pep, slowly brightening as the fellow yellowblood rattled off about her booth- and then Kursha. Elidae appeared mildly surprised by this, giving her a questioning smile. Wow, she described him to a T! Did she have a good memory?

"Oh! Well... I actually kind of like his hair! Though he does need a bit of a trim." Adding that in first with a nervous laugh, the yellowblood didn't take the comments about him to pusher and moved along. "But yeah! Well, I mean, its technically mine! He's just a sweetheart and offered to help so I could enjoy Bloodfest, too! I'm a little sad we haven't done anything together yet, though." Elidae put her finger to her chin as if deep in thought. Suddenly bursting with energy, the yellowblood shrugged, remaining amiable despite her disappointment. "But! I've still had a ton of fun! I'm Elidae, by the way!" Rocking back on her heels, she gave them both an energetic wave. "And his name is Kursha! You two should totally say hi to him sometime." The girl then eagerly waited for the two of them to exchange names to each other as well while fiddling with her scarf.
