Jalase rubbed at his face, the stress from the confrontation with his parents still rather fresh in the back of his mind. It had been a week, already, since then but his father had insisted on remind Jal that he would not be allowed to work the stall for some time to come. He still had to help bring the supplies to Padore. He still had to help set up. But he wasn’t going to make money from any of that and the work stopped there. He was no longer allowed to man the stall. Instead, his father and mother would remain there or, if one of them needed to go somewhere, Jal was expected to stay at the stall with the one that was staying behind.

With his savings gone, his parents had given him a small amount of money to eat on and sent him on his way. He stuck his hand into his small change purse, pulled out the few coins he had, and frowned at them. Definitely not enough to get a sword and it would take a very long time to save up anything near enough to buy one from this small amount of change. He shoved the money back into his pocket and looked up at the bulletin board in front of him. Plastered all over the board were several flyers of people seeking help with jobs. Most of them were simple things that didn’t pay very well, while others were things he definitely wasn’t qualified for — a private dancer? Jal snorted at the flyer as his eyes moved over to the flyer next to him.

Help Needed.
Hunter.

The words caught his eye as Jal was instantly curious. He continued to read the information, frowning slightly when he realized he really didn’t have a way to hunt animals — seeing as he left his old sword at home (it would have broke most likely anyway). He shrugged slightly and memorized the location of the shop that was doing the hiring. It wouldn’t hurt to check the place out anyway. Perhaps they would provide him with a hunting weapon.

It didn’t take long before he found the place — and it definitely wasn’t what he expected. The place was modest, if not a little run down, and two stories tall. It was obviously marked as a shop but Jal wondered if he was supposed to knock before entering or just step right in. Ultimately he decided to go ahead and move inside. When he opened the door and stepped inside, he called out. “Hello? Is anyone here…?”

Taijana listened to her sister prattle on about her new husband, listening intently as she glorified his minor accomplishments and glossed over his flaws. She supposed he really was a good sort of guy, to put up with Trilanna, but that didn't mean she necessarily wanted to hear about him all day, every day.

For the day she, her sister, and Dennet, the new husband, were watching the shop. Taijana had hung behind when her brother went hunting because she knew he wanted to find keldari, and her prey was much bigger. Too big for her sister to help with, as Tri had told her time and time again. "I'll be eaten alive!" she'd said. Her physically identical sister was just as small as she, but far more delicate. Trilanna didn't like getting in above her head, where as Taijana liked a challenge.

When the shop door opened Trilanna leaned over the counter and waved him in with a broad smile. While both sisters looks nearly identical, Tri tended to dress far more flashy while Taijana was content in her leathers. She stood behind her more flamboyant sister, smiling awkwardly while twiddling with the fur pelt laid over her right shoulder.

"We're here!" Trilanna beamed. "Can I help you with something?"

Jalase blinked, slightly surprised, as the female voice called out. For some reason he had expected men. He wasn’t sure why, though, seeing as how they needed help hunting. Surely if there were other males around, they would be helping out with such things. He gave the woman, and her...twin?...a friendly smile in return and moved over to where the two women were. “I saw your flyer on the bulletin board about needing help with hunting and was interested.” He glanced around the modest shop, eyes dancing over the interior and then, eventually, back over to the two women standing before him. He wished that his parents had a place like this. Even though it wasn’t in the best of shape they’d have shelter and a place to actually lock up instead of just packing everything up.

“Do you still need help?” he asked.

Even married Trilanna was a shameless flirt. It bothered Taijana to watch her sister lean against the counter as she was, fingers dancing on the worn wood as if to draw him closer. "I don't, but my sister does. She's the one who placed the flyer." She canted her head, turning her sultry eyes to Taijana with a little quirk of a smile. "I'll just be in the back...let you two have some time to chat." With a little way, she slipped behind a thick leather door covering into rooms unknown.

When Taijana had recovered enough sense from her sisters escapades to step forward the skin on her cheeks was flushed. She walked a little straighter these days, head tilted up instead of down, but Taijana's bangs covered her face for the most part. Her hands stayed clasped behind her back meekly, though despite all this she was still an accomplished huntress. One who was happy to see someone taking up her offer.

"M-my name's Taijana, but you can call me Tai." Her voice was a very low, very light whisper; one most had to concentrate on just to hear. "I'm looking to trap a tintural, but I'll need help bringing it in. Do you think you could help with that?"

Jalase raised an eyebrow as he watched the girl, who had greeted him initially, disappear into the back room. She had so obviously been flirting but, despite the woman being pretty, Jal was not interested in the least. He appreciated a good looking woman, like most other men, however his mind was elsewhere. Flings and love were the last thing on his mind. He wanted to earn money for his sword and in order to do that, his focus could not be on chasing some pretty looking lady.

When the other woman spoke up, Jal gave her a small smile and nodded. “Aye, I can help. My name’s Jalase. Jal.” He hesitated a moment, unsure if what he was about to say would change her mind on taking his offered help or not. “I...I was wondering if you, perhaps, have an extra weapon I may borrow? My old sword is definitely not up to par for this job, besides...it’s back in Illidan, and the whole reason I’m looking for side jobs is so I can earn a little coin to buy me a new one.”

"It's nice to meet you, Jal." Taijana's smile was meek, but genuine. She may have been quiet, but she wasn't particularly shy or introverted; just a little quiet. His question answered her own, as to where his weapon was or what sort of skills he had. It was a bit of a disappointment to see that he didn't have one of his own, but not a complete deal breaker. "My sister hunts with a spear and I'm sure she would let you use it. Will that be alright?"

It was a far cry from a sword, but short of picking up a chair Taijana didn't have much else for him. Her brother might have, but she didn't want to go poking around his things while he was away. It seemed rude and intrusive; far too much mental worry for a small job like this.

"Unless you would prefer to use this-" Taijana held up her crossbow. It was well worn, and on the older side, but since it was well kept she felt no need in getting a new one. "I'll let you pick."

Jalase flushed as the woman’s expression changed and he could tell she was disappointed by the news that he had no weapon of his own. In retrospect, Jal supposed it was a bit stupid of him to come seeking a hunting job when he had no useable weapon of his own. Out of all the jobs, however, it had seemed to be the one best suited for him (and the most exciting). When offered the spear, Jal at least relaxed a tad bit, happy to see a weapon that he was at least somewhat familiar with — it having been one that he’d tried out before, ultimately, deciding on a sword. He raised an eyebrow and shook his head at the second weapon offered. “The spear, please. I’m sorry I don’t have my own weapon. Kind of stupid for me to offer my hunting skills without a proper weapon, hm?”

"O-oh no, it's fine, really. It worked out." Taijana flashed him a small, nervous smile. Once he was settled with the spear she moved past him - more or less skirting the wall like a little mouse - to gather up her pack. She quickly checked over it's contents; field rations, rope, a net, and other such essentials. All the necessities for bringing in a larger beast.

"If you'll follow me we can get started." The petite huntress looked over her bolts, making sure she had enough before motion to the doorway. It wouldn't be a long walk by any means, which is why her sister hadn't added an 'extended stay' line to the flyer, but Taijana was eager to start her hunt.

"Do you do this regularly? Hunting? Or are you - I guess I'm being nosy. I'm actually curious as to why you want to buy a sword."
