A booth stands out among the crowds, surrounded by tall flowers. It's nearly smothered with the friendly flora, but inside of the booth is the unmistakable form of Panili Synemn and her lusus, Shmothma. Simple, hand painted and handcrafted designs surround the display, with her symbol painted to ensure that her identity is known. A large glass bowl sits to her side, ready to be filled with fond compliments!

Also presented next to Panili is a stack of flyers, and handmade cards. The true reason for her booth? A grassroots movement! Simple wording and accessible imagery fill the page, with large print reading:

Quote:
A New Lifestyle Group!

Strive To Elevate Our Nature
Strive For Independence
Strive For A Brighter Future

Questions, Comments, Interest? Ask for Panili Synemn!

With the flowers alone, the booth is incredibly aromatic. However, another source of the telltale scent is a display pile of herbs and dried fruits and flowers in the midst of Panili's station - perfect for making tea! With the focus on warmth, nature and home, Panili strove to at least give some of the overstimulated Bloodfest trolls some sense of calm at her booth. She makes sure to greet each passerby with a smile!

Bowl of Thoughtfulness

To participate in the Bowl of Thoughtfulness, simply answer the question that Panili poses below in at least 25 words! Your troll will write this answer down on a provided paper and put it into the bowl. At the end of the day, two winners will be drawn via raffle to receive tickets, and a third winner will receive a ticket based upon the thoughtfulness of their answer!

Night 9 Question: Would you like to join my discussion group? If you'd like, give me your information and we can meet up!

Tea Sorting Challenge

Panili has a whole slew of good smells at her booth, and wants to tempt the senses of those who pass by! She's made up a little game for trolls to pass the time, with some additional incentive for visitors who'd like to linger. There is a great pile of different herbs, fruits and flowers to choose from! Trolls will close their eyes and pick two types of these items from the pile. If they find a flavor combination that matches one of Panili's teas, they get a whole can of handmade loose leaf tea to take home! If they don't match, they still get a random tasty tea bag from Panili's collection.

Sephos is lured in by the flowers

Sephos Arbola

Sephos disliked most of the booths, and would prefer to nap rather than socialize, but the fresh scent of flowers called him forth. His nose's expectation was greeted by the gentle oranges and pleasant colors of flowers and plants. Maku hummed, always happy to see growing things, and - for a change - Sephos didn't need to be pushed to the stall.

"Hey." he said, "This is kinda nice." He touched a flower, soothed by the floral life.

“Oh, hello!” Panili gave a wave to the greenblood who appeared at her station. She cocked her head. “Hey, I remember you! Were you at the Harvest Festival?”

His face and dour expression were familiar for sure, but that night was a blur. She’d been overwhelmed, rushed away, and then back for a starlight walk! Combing through her memories she didn’t quite remember his name, but who could forget that beret?

“I don’t know if you remember me.” She laughed. “Not important! I’m Panili. Do you like tea? They’ve got really lovely flowers and herbs in them. I’ve got a little tea game here to win some. And oh, goodness! I can’t forget the Bowl of Thoughtfulness! Let me set up the first question.”

She ducked behind her counter and brought out a whiteboard. With a squeaky marker she drew on the first question. “There we go.” Panili folded her arms across the counter and beamed up at Sephos.

Sephos Arbola

"Yeah." He said, nodding, "I remember - the wreaths." Sephos had liked them, as had Maku. "You're doing something different now, though..." He said, relaxing as he looked around the booth. Tea? Some sort of jar? Hmm...

"Yeah. I like tea." said Sephos, "I like lots of things." He frowned at the whiteboard.

"So this is a question, and I've got to think about it?" Sephos chewed on his lip. He didn't have many friends, and he didn't know if he actually had any at all, so he didn't know what he might want in a friend.

But he was going to try, because it meant he could spend more time in this nice, relaxing place. "I guess, in a friend... uh..." He frowned at the piece of paper, "I guess I'm glad if they like plants...?" It was a lame answer and he knew it.

“That’s great! You and me must have a lot in common.” She laughed. Panili pushed her hair out of the way and adjusted in her seat. She considered his answer for a moment. “Awesome! I’ll write that down for you and enter you in the raffle for a ticket!”

She mouthed the word “like plants” as she scribbled his answer onto the slip of paper, and looked back up with a smile. “Sounds like we could be friends then!”

I have no idea where this is going but I like it so far.

Sephos Arbola

Sephos watched the slip of paper fall into the jar, and blinked, looking at Panili in surprise. It wasn't that he didn't think she liked plants - obviously she did, otherwise she wouldn't be surrounded by them. She'd had them when he saw her before, too, so it was a reasonable assumption. He was just surprised she'd jumped to that so... quickly. "Sure." he said, nodding, "Sounds like it." He didn't know what else to say, honestly, but he didn't want to just go silent. It felt odder than usual.
"What about you?" he asked abruptly, curious, "What do you, uh..." he squinted at the question, " ' most cherish in a friend?' "

Of course she had to look at this booth after the pleasant younger troll had stopped by her own stall. Mera was absolutely delighted. So many flowers! And tea! Considering how hectic the events would likely be, she could use some. Hemera did her best to combine teas, eyes closed, but it seemed that fruity and floral tastes didn't mix? Well, there was always tomorrow.

Anyway-

Wait. What was that? Something white had just jumped by, into the flowers! "What in the world..." Hemera stepped back from the stall and tried to get to the bottom of this, hopefully catching whatever creature was on the loose.

Now that the nutbeast was taken care of, Hemera returned to finish business. It was rude to run off before even taking a moment to chat. She had already gotten a tea sample and would have to thank the host for that. You couldn't just take something and leave!

Hemera also finally took time to look at everything there, including the bowl of thoughtfulness. Just answering a question? She could do that. And a lovely question, at that. Hemera picked up a slip of paper and started to write.

I look for amiability in a friend first and foremost. I know this is basic, but it is paramount to be able to have pleasant conversation. Anyone of any sort can get along with someone similar to them, but a good attitude goes a long way for everyone involved. Less likely to have friction, or public embarrassment. Life is very hectic, and friendship should be calming.

However, I will make exceptions for those who make me laugh. I think I cherish that a lot. I have overlooked some rather unpleasant personalities, I realize, because I found them endearing. I suppose being pitiable to some degree is an important feature? But being able to laugh is important. Could you imagine a life without humor? I could not.

In closing, I enjoy friendship with pleasant people who make life a little less tense for a little while.

She stuck the paper into the bowl and turned to Panili. "Greetings! I took up your invitation to come to your booth. It is pleasant! I enjoy it. I'm Hemera Moachm, but I tend to go by Mera. I must ask, what was your inspiration for your booth? Or, really, what attracts you to sunflowers?"

Sypon
Mera is in two places at once, talking to both of your trolls. Clearly.

“Oh gosh! Hmm…” She hadn’t thought about it. To be honest, referring to Sephos as a friend was tentative. But it was good to have some interest in the booth! Especially repeat interest. He might have some promise! “I guess I’d say someone who is always looking to better themselves and is passionate about it. Always looking forward!” She nodded. “One second!”

A familiar troll had walked up, and Panili gave her a wave as she filled out her answer. In the bowl was now a single full sheet of paper and a tiny slip. The sight of it made Panili giggle. It wasn’t much of a raffle at this point given the size differences, but she supposed there were only two to draw from so far! She looked up at the tealblood and gave her a wave.

“Hello!” She chirped. “Thanks so much! I worked hard finding all of these sunflowers. Nice to meet you Mera. As for all of the flowers, I just love how resilient and sturdy looking they are! They seem like they can track the moons and withstand the sun. They’re funny little plants. Or rather, big plants! Here, take this fake one for the lovely complement!”

She handed over one of her prizes, and then on second thought also handed one to Sephos. “Here you go! For appreciating the flora!”

Afterwards, Panili tapped her chin with a finger and returned her gaze to Hemera. “Well, as for my inspiration, my booth is more oriented around an idea for a new kind of lifestyle group I’m trying to promote!”

Rastin Morden

Having finished his coffee, Rastin once again followed his nose to the next booth. However, he didn't know what kind of delight would fill his very being when he saw what kind of booth he'd found. Another tea booth. He felt as though he would faint from joy.

"I almost can't believe my eyes, I..." He gasped, his expression fussing between happy and relieved. "Please, pardon me, I just didn't think I'd find a booth that was so suited to my interests. This is a very pleasant surprise."

He clasped his hands in front of himself and looked about the booth, suddenly unsure what to do with himself. The smells coming from this booth were just as divine as the bakery booth he'd visited before... It was almost paralyzing. Still, he eventually moved forward, and toward the Bowl of Thoughtfulness.

"What qualities do you most cherish in a friend?" He mused, the question rolling off of his lips slowly, as if the mere notion of the sentence were difficult for him to comprehend. A friend? ... He didn't have any friends, not that it really bothered him. He didn't need friends.

However, the more he thought on the question, the more he wanted to answer it. He took a slip of paper and tapped his lip before writing a few lines down.

"I don't have any friends, actually. I've met a few other trolls and I guess our meetings have been nice... But I wouldn't call them my friends. However, if I did have friends, I would "cherish" that they value my space and need for privacy. I'm not someone who goes out very frequently and they would need to have patience with me, otherwise we wouldn't work out."

Once he was certain that he'd gotten everything he'd wanted to say out, the purpleblood turned his attention to the tea sorting challenge pile. So, all he needed to do was close his eyes, pick two teas from the pile, and see if that won him a prize? This was a game he would gladly play all day! He shut his eyes, rolled up his sleeves, and carefully sifted through the pile.

"Let's see..." He muttered, opening his eyes and holding the tea bags he'd pulled out in front of him. Hm, one was fruity and the other was sweet. That didn't win him one of the special teas, but at least he was able to take a random tea bag home with him. He'd definitely be back to try again, though! He had to win at least one of these special teas!

Sephos Arbola

If only he'd known that Rastin had already visited Panili's booth... but then again, Sephos didn't care about making a fool of himself. "Hey, Panili!" he called out gently. Somehow, amidst all the flowers and the calm, he didn't want to just up and shout. "I, uh... brought something. For you." He set down a wrapped armful of flowers.

User Image

"I have a bunch over at my booth, so I thought maybe you'd like them..." he said. Had he forgotten to mention his flowers before? He looked around for the other trolls.
"To, you know..." he said haltingly - she didn't appear to have another question up yet... "I told my friend about your tea... he said he'd been here." he hadn't tried sorting her teas, but... why not? He liked tea. He liked this booth.

Sweet... minty... Mmm... It tasted like candy. A candy tea? Okay.

Panili blinked at the flowers. This may have been the first time someone had offered her something, for a change. “O-oh my!” She exclaimed. Panili scooped up the bouquet by the paper and stuck her nose in the orange blooms. He’d even hemotyped them. “Thank you, Sephos! I love them!”

She gently pressed them to her chest and then hopped off of her chair to go find a vat or large jar to put them in. Fortunately with a floral booth she had just the ticket, and arranged them carefully as an accent to her booth. “I’ll have to come by. This is really a treat, oh my. And yes! Is your friend the hooded one? He was very excited. I’m glad you both like it!”

She hummed with joy. “I was actually thinking as a part of my club’s focus on self-reliance we could do something like a community garden or farm or something.” Panili tapped her chin. “That’s in the future though, when I can make things a little more official.”
