Kaalnia was doing a few warm up exercises by the side of the road - some push ups, some sit ups, and a lot of jumping to get her breath pumping. What she really wanted, though, was a spar - that would be the best thing to get her into shape for the day. A shame that Votzhem (or his wife, or his kids even) weren't with her... they'd be good for it.
"Hey!" she called out to a random passer by - a wind tribesman with lots of stuff everywhere. He didn't look particularly strong or martial, but Kaalnia wasn't picky. Go easy on him or not, she'd get her exercise. "Wanna spar?!" she grinned at them, bombastic as usual. "C'mon, it'll be fun and it won't take that long!" she laughed, "I won't really hurt you or nothing, so..." she beckoned. "Whatddaya say?"

Nuawahn liked Jahuar - Jahuar was pretty and wet and, most of all, where the plants that he needed grew. He hoped to be able to say hi to the Alkidike and her daughter who now grew the plants, and to refresh his supply. It was almost like having a home to return to, except there was no home for Nuawahn. Or, rather, Home was wherever his feet carried him.
"Hmm?" Nuawahn had no fear of Alkidikes, but he didn't like fighting or sparring. A thin thread of wariness made him instinctively cast a protection spell, and he shimmered in the Jahuaran light... just in case this was actually an ambush or some such terrible thing.
However, when she said that 'it would be fun,' Nuawahn decided to believe her. He was all for fun. "Okay!" he said, moving towards her, "Are we gonna do it in the road, or...?" He asked. He wasn't sure...

"Woohoo!" Kaalnia said gleefully as the wind man came close, "All right then!" This was great! This was going to be just what she needed. "Lets start this thing off with a bang!" she said, tapping into the energy that flowed within her and leaping into action, twirling into a powerful attack, "No point in starting small, right?!" she said, delighting in how easy and free movement was. She was healing from her time in Zena, and it was always great to feel it.

It was pretty, though... like she was dancing...

Kaalnia continued with her philosophy, feeling the raw, untamed life force flow through her, healing what wounds had been caused by the explosion of the earthling's air spell. She charged towards him, feeling like a force of nature, feeling good. "Well, sure it hurts, but..." she danced around him, trying to befuddle him, "That just means that it ends sooner, right?" Maybe, though, she thought, she was being a little too much... but nah, this was a spar, you were supposed to go all out so you could get better, right? If he couldn't handle it, well that was a lesson for him!

... It certainly was a lesson - don't take up strange Alkidike on their offer to spar. In fact, don't take anyone up on their offer to spar. Ever again.
Nuawahn tried to dodge and scramble away, but soon found the shaft of her spear crash into his gut. The force of it slammed him against a tree, his shimmering shield shattering into shards of magic, and then evaporating away. Nuawahn couldn't breathe. He couldn't speak. He hurt.
He started to cry. This wasn't fun at all, not at all.

Kaalnia blinked. Wait, was that it? "Are you okay there?" she asked, crouching over him, concerned. She'd been attacking with nonlethal means, of course, you don't kill your sparring partner (that was just rude), but she could see that it had really gotten him. "Hey..." she could see he was crying. "C'mon, get up, we're not done yet... Hey?" She gave him a little shove, "You can't just give up now, right?"

Yes he could. He very much could. "It wasn't fun at all..." he said, crawling back to the road and staggering to his feet. He shuffled forward, dejected. "I don't want to play anymore... I think I'm going to... go now." he said shakily, his formerly good mood ruined. He just wanted to go away, now...
