Her girls were sleeping in their bed and even her sister was out for the night, so Dem figured she'd try her hand at making something for them. It was her down time and she wanted to spend it productively. Since Virain was out training with his mentor she was left with the household. Something she had learned rather quickly that she both liked and didn't. Certain things she was okay with, others.. not so much.

Still, she had made her elderly mother a cloak once so she thought to try her hand at making a skirt for one of the girls. She had the extra material laying around. After all the cape hadn't taken much. V'demhe did a double check on her daughters to make sure they were sleeping soundly then set to work on the item. Since she was no seamstress she wanted to keep the design simple.

As she started to work on the skirt she thought she was doing good, making progress. Then Maha took her attention away from a moment and she didn't pay attention to her stitches. The radaku wanted to lay under her feet and she had to lift her legs up to allow him to do such. In all it took several minutes to get him situated, since she had to remove her boots to avoid stepping on him. When she finally got back to her project she didn't look too closely at it and continued on with her stitching. Then something seemed off and she stopped. Holding it up V'demhe instantly noticed that, in her distraction, she'd sewn the end to the waist area and made the skirt not wearable.

She stared at it for a long moment, as if expecting it to fix itself. When nothing happened she huffed and set the fabric down. So much for being productive.
