Kama Prem was not having a great day. The Fashion House he worked with most often had asked him to set up a Charity Fashion Show and Ball. Why they had asked him? They said they felt his 'sense of style' would lend a proper propriety to the event, and his name would attract wealthy people who wanted to collect the Pretty Faces of Today on their guest lists.
He sighed, contemplating that statement. He got that, but he didn't get why they wanted him to set it up! He would have been perfectly happy to have his face on the blasted thing, and to act as a perfect host... He could do THAT easily enough... But he wasn't an event organizer, he had no skills at it, and he had no clue what on earth to do. Figure out fashion wear from new, up and coming designers who were hoping to get hired by the House? Yes. Decide what models to invite so as to get more of those wealthy sorts? Sure! But figuring out the whens, the wheres, the COSTS? Oh by the Nine, he was lost. He hired people to do his finances for a reason... It's what they were good at!
He growled in annoyance at the universe. He'd been sitting here, having his favorite tea at his favorite tea shop, hoping inspiration would hit him on how to do this. So far, all he'd managed to be hit with was a need to alleviate his bladder after he finished his second pot of tea. Now he was working on his third, more slowly this time, hoping he'd have SOMETHING happen. "Buggering heck." He swore, a little louder then he realized he was being. "I'll never get this blasted event organized!"Koiasi If I recall right, you said she likes organizing events? I figure this is a great way for them to meet!

Lady Aria Starstone She's better at organizing/managing people, but I think she could do events too. x3 Nyria was in the middle of a long shopping trip. She had even hired a teenager to help with her bags, and to say the least, it was definitely needed. The poor kid was holding so many bags that Nyria could hardly see their face. She couldn't help but wonder if she should have hired a second. No matter though, what was done was done, and she only had this one last stop before heading back home. The teenager had been rather nice about the whole thing, and hadn't complained once. Nyria was glad for that and was more than up for hiring them again should they need some extra cash.
For now, she approached the counter, shelling out a few bills toward the cashier as she ordered her and the teenager some tea. She then turned to sit down at one of the tables, shifting her sunglasses from her face so she could get a better look at the place. It was quiet and much more demure than she would like for a hang out spot, but it wasn't her establishment so she supposed her opinion mattered very little. The child sat beside her, letting the bags down on the table. She smiled at them and was about to strike up a conversation when she saw a man who didn't seem to fit the modest tea shop. This definitely piqued her interest, it wasn't often that she saw someone with that much style in such a place.
Grinning to herself, she removed herself from the table and swayed her long body toward his table. "I hope you don't mind if I interrupt." She stated as she led her hand forward, as if to shake his. "My name is Nyria, and I couldn't help but notice that you have such a distressed look on your face. I would help, if I could. I certainly don't like such a look on someone so exotic."

Kama looked up, startled, almost dropping his papers. "I uh... Oh!" He blinked in surprise at the elegant Naga who approached him. After a long moment of surprise, he collected himself and flushed. "I do apologize, I did not mean to stare so. I was just surprised." He stood, and gave an elegant bow to the Naga. "I am Kama Prem, and thank you for your concern." He then sat back down, and shuffled his papers, with an irritated look at them.
After a deep sigh, he spoke again. "I am just... busy dealing with a task one of my employers asked of me. It's not the sort of thing I usually do, nor is it something I am particularly good at. They wish me to organize an... event." He didn't name who the employer was, or what the event was, as he never went out of his way to draw attention to the fact that he worked for some of the bigger Houses. Occasionally people recognized him as a model for them on the street, and, really, he didn't enjoy that sort of attention.
Honestly, he was just glad less people did then could... And he always wondered about it, really. After all, he WAS pretty unique looking, or so he thought. "I'm just not an event organizer." He finished, mournfully.Koiasi AH well it gives them a chance to start!

Nyria's lips twisted into a grin at his words, "You flatter me. If I would say, you are quite handsome yourself, Mr. Kama Prem." Without even asking, she moved herself to sit at the chair across from him, seeming to not know the meaning of personal space. "Having such a beautiful face full of concern definitely won't do." She waggled her finger in front of her face. "I do know a thing or two about managing things, perhaps I could help in some fashion or another? It's been a while since I've done so and I could definitely use some excitement since moving here. I was beginning to believe that this section of the Below was quite dull." She pursed her lips, trying to keep an elegant look about her. Marketing yourself to a potential friend or business partner was always top priority and he definitely knew how to do it, even in such a modest place. She couldn't help but wonder how famous he was already, and even though she was more used to helping bring people into fame than helping those already there, she was sure she could use some help in getting her foot in the door in this new place.

Kama smiled, warmly, at Nyria. "Please, feel free to call me Kama... Especially as you are offering to assist me. Such familiarity can surely be excused so early on with such generosity." He gave a nod of thanks in response to her calling him handsome, a lock of his two-shade hair falling across his face for a moment. "And I certainly would love some assistance." He pulled out the only sheet not covered in his handwriting... The one the House Events coordinator had handed to him before sending him off like a sacrificial lamb. "This is all they gave me, and it's quite bare bones. I can't but wonder if the Events coordinator isn't trying to get out of work." He paused, making a moue at the thought, as he handed her the page.
"They gave me a budget of $50,000 for decor, catering, and the band. Venue budget is $100,000... They told me 'try for at least 300 guests, 500 preferred. But that's the only documentation. They want me to be 'Creative and clever' and 'not influenced' by them." He glowered at his stack of papers where he'd been writing things like lists of names of both models he thought might donate time, some designers who's work he wanted to see make it big, and potential guests. Of course, it wasn't invitation only, but the tickets would be expensive enough that people who weren't likely to make donations, or bid on the auction, would not be likely to come either.
He paused, his brain catching up to her comment about this area of the Below. "Dull? Truly? I'm guessing you haven't been here long, m'Lady Nyria, for surely you'd be seeing that this is a wonderful place. I mean, sure, this neighborhood's a little quiet, but with some of the best shopping..." He nods at her teen with her bags. "But we're a short distance from some of the best clubs, restaurants, and museums... And if you look at the nearby buildings, you'll see places that look like apartments... They're not." He gave her a slwo grin. "Those are coveted housing, m'lady. All of them have been divided into various sized condos or flats. I actually own the penthouse flat of this very building, and love it." He'd chose it because it was the highest locally, and zoning had stamped down any other attempts to build higher. He loved his views here, his garden, his space... It was perfect.

Nyria smirked a little at his comment, feeling that she was perhaps probably more informal than he was, so she found it amusing that he'd say such a thing. "Alright then, Kama." She stated, a levity about her voice. When he handed her the paper, she looked at it, blinked, and then turned it over, wondering if it was some sort of joke. "This was all they gave you? Do they not take things seriously?" She shook her head, she'd shoot the messenger if this was all they gave her, no wonder the Grimm was in dire straits. With this little information it might even be hard for her to work her magic.
"Well then..." She shifted, now understanding the situation he was in. "I can at least help with the entertainment, that is my specialty, after all. I can sing myself, and I assure you I'm quite good, though I'm not sure what kind of music you're looking for. I worked on Broadway for a time back at the Swirling Sands, though that might mean little here considering how small our population was there in comparison." She took off her glasses, waving them in the air for emphasis. "But I assure you I still have some pzazz and pull in the entertainment venues, if you don't like me I'm sure I can find you someone who will work within that budget. The problem will be the decor and catering, however, 50k isn't much to work with all three. I could do the decor myself, cut out the middle man, which would save some, but the costs of the items themselves will be the hard thing. Reuse and repurposing old items will be your best bet. Did they tell you what this event was for? If it's for a charity, we might be able to get other people to donate money themselves for a good cause, or appeal to their good side to donate more of their time and services." She knew she was talking too much when she finally finished, but this was where her expertise was, so she couldn't help but go over all the things she could think of at the moment, he did need all the help he could get.
She couldn't help but laugh, though it was a gentle and friendly laugh with a large smile painted across her face. "I mean no disrespect to your neighborhood, truly, but I don't think I've quite found what I'm looking for here. I owned my own dive bar back in the Swirling Sands, I even lived in the small space above it. I loved every minute of entertaining people, I breathed it. I am still looking for a place of my own here where I can do the same, but converting myself to the lifestyle here hasn't quite been to my liking yet. But, perhaps that just might change." She grinned as she put his piece of paper back on the table. She did love challenges, and this might be exactly what she was looking for.
