Cherish held on to Rey's arm as they walked through the city, somewhat anxious in the dark. It wasn't too late, but certainly not a comforting area, and she fidgeted as they moved, looking to her sibling with a nervous expression before nuzzling his arm quietly. They'd gone out for a trip to the shops - taking some of their coin and travelling to enjoy a quiet day away from their twin cousins. But, true to luck, Rey had found a few skirts to chase, and flirted just a bit too long, his sibling much frustrated before she sighed and managed to remind him she was there. So now, they were walking home in the dark, and she just wanted to hold on to her brother and escape the seedier areas of town - too many gross men looking to look up her skirts, as it were, and she finally jumped at the sound of what sounded like heavy steps nearby, and buried her neck in Rey with a cry. Whatever it was, the sound didn't sound human - grinding, clanging, scurrying, and grumbling all at once? So not human. "Rey... Something's out there big brother... I'm scared," Redbud-Tree Oops quotes help if you miss Skype.

"Chey, calm down," Reynard murmured, pulling his sister to him and stroking her hair. "I know we're out a little later than you feel comfortable with, but I'll get you home safe - I promise." Alright, so maybe he had been a little too caught up in flirting with the two redheads they had encountered, but come on - how often did you find two redheads in the same place, that were cousins rather than sisters?
"We'll get home, and I'll make it up to you by raiding Uncle Uriah's hidden tea stash, alright? You know he'll forgive me anything." And the blend Rey was thinking of would do a lot to settle his poor sister's nerves. "'til then, you just have to trust me. Okay?"
He could handle anything this city could throw at the two of them, he he was sure of it.

"It's creepy out." Cherish persisted, but she wasn't blaming him at all. She was used to her brother's ways, fratenizing with young women and their ilk - she onten helped find girls who suited his standards (And hers - no tramps for HER brothers!). No, the air felt and sounded wrong, and then, the abnormal steps again as they drew nearer and nearer. At first, the plume seemed to belong to some LARP or SCA costume, but the beast emerging was only human-like in the upper body. It's head was a gross fusion of plumed circlet and human head, with a human torso, but four arms and six legs on an insectlike metal abdomen, each foot covered with five-toed paws of metal and thin nails upon each to explain the shuffling. It couldn't move fast, yet, or perhaps it hadn't seen them, but the fanged youma sniffed, and sniffed again, before a rasping, fanged motion like laughter came from it, and it's look shot to them both. "R...Rey.... W...What i...is that..." Cherish keened anxiously. "Rey..."

"What... the hell..." Reynard murmured, tugging his sister behind him even as he backed away slowly from the ... thing coming toward them. "I -" He started to say, then shook his head and shuddered. "I wouldn't know, but I'm willing to guess that it's something we should run away from comeonCheylet'sgo!"
Catching his twin by the wrist, he turned and tugged her after him as he started to run - and if he needed to, he would toss her over his shoulder and carry her off because no way in all of Dante's circles of hell was he going to let some monster-thing eat his sister!

" Iagreelet'sgo!" Cherish didn't need more prommpting, bolting as fast as her body allowed as the beast began to chase them, moving rapidly to try hunting, seeking, catching. It hungered, and it hungered for them, not a prospect she relished, nor did she want her twin eaten, the girl whimpering as they ran. The youma scented a hunt. It's feet moved to chase, rustle-stamping-charging for them as the scream from it was an unholy abomination of a broken violin section combined with static and the sound of pure electricity, all havng a fetid lovechild with the Lord of the Whorl, and Cherish yelped, covering her ears to hide behind a wall - something, anything to throw it and she cried, shaking.

"Ohgodohgodohgod!" If the sound of it running after them hadn't made Reynard scream, the shriek that resounded as the thing gave chase would have done it. Pulling his sister along, he swerved right into what looked like an alley and shoved here beneath a crate, taking up a position in front of her.
"I won't let it hurt you," he said, and though it felt like his heart was about to beat out of his chest, he began looking for something he could use to try and fight against the... thing.
He didn't expect to see only a stick, especially one that looked pretty small and useless, but who was he to turn down something potentially weapon-like right in front of his face? Reaching down, he took the stick in hand, deciding to toss logic to the wind in order to protect his sister. Maybe he could throw it?
When he picked it up, however...
Well.
Grinning now, Parthenon moved to attack.

Cherish huddled under the crate, eyes wide in fear as she absolutely shook, blinking at the transformation of Reynard into... Someone else. But still him? Well.... She didn't understand, but the youma paused, the feet and legs stopping as it hissed, a steam engine and tea kettle and serpent in one trone, before it lunged to bite at Parthenon. The page wanted to go first?.... So be it. But what it did not expect was a white feline jumping on it's head with a loud yeowl, hissing and puffing as the small, thin animal bared teeth and jumped off to land by the newly-awakened page. Miss Kitty growled at the Youma, but was eying Parthenon carefully - not a trace of hated could be seen, but rather concern. She'd sensed a starseed waiting to awaken, but she didn't think Mauvians sensed knights. In fact, she was almost sure they didn't. However, there HAD to be a senshi bursting to awaken, based on her senses, and Miss Kitty looked to Parthenon urgently, deciding if there was one newbie, there might as well be two kittens, the other nearby. She sensed it. "Page! Who did you come with? Where are they, quickly?!" The Mauvian asked rapidly. The Youma was hissing at both of them now, and her fur was on end, looking around. Cherish huddled deeper into her box, and whimpered.

"My sister," Parthenon said, not bothering to question why a cat was talking to him - he'd look back on the insanity of this evening later, when he and Cherish were no longer in danger of being eaten. "She's hiding - don't let her get hurt!"
He waved behind him, in the vague direction of his sister's hiding place, then bolted toward the monstrous being in hopes of leading it away from his twin - with any luck, he could buy the cat time to do whatever it was she was here for. And whatever it was, it had better be something that wouldn't end up with Cherish lying dead or hurt at his feet, or he would have a small fur rug on his floor before the week was out.
"Now then, monster, I think you'll find my sister and I are far more trouble than we're worth, and I've no problems proving such to you!"

Miss Kitty nodded to the boy even as the youma gave it's screech from the very pants of Thal himself, lunging to persue the new young page greedily. Miss Kitty puffed again at it, but before she would fight and aid the poor hapless page )HER KITTEN!), she had a job. And if more issues came... Well, she had her senshi to call upon. For now, however, she folowed the vague gesture, before wiggling into the hiding place, wide brown-gold eyes staring at her. "No, we havwn't time for formalities nor a panic, kitten, so right now I'm going to give you something to help -" What did the page call her? Sister? "-your brother dust that thing, and then I can answer as may questions as I'm sure you both have." Miss Kitty explained rapidly, and Cherish nodded before the Mauvian purred, doing a tidy backflip to summon a purple and pink henshin pen, surprised herself as it landed. Cherishing prepared to ask how it came to be, but then recalled she was talking to a talking cat, and shivered, meekly taking the pen and looking to the cat. Miss Kitty nodded, then blinked. "Childm you need to say "Limosa Power, Make up!" to ah, use it." Miss Kitty coaxed. Cherish nodded, holding it as high as able, before repeating the phase. And then, Sailor Limosa squeaked, before wiggling out and picking up the odd talking kitty. She couldn't let that abomination hurt her brother! And if this would help... Well... She'd TRY! The youma, meanwhile, circled and hissed, chasing and squirming before it screamed at Parthenon, shrill and high and caused windows to shatter into powder, the pleased look on it's aw at the carnage visible.

Ow. Ow. Ow , that thing's screaming hurt! Parthenon stumbled in his run, hands going to his ears to try and protect them from the onslaught of sound. Unfortunately it did little to aid him, and the newly-awakened Page stumbled once more, tripping and turning back against a wall. Dark eyes scanned the being for any weak points he could exploit, momentarily relieved by the simple fact that it was focusing on him rather than his sister. With any luck, that talking cat (or what had looked like a talking cat) was going to be able to protect her, or help her find a way to protect herself. Either way, he couldn't go back to help Cherish now. No, right now he needed to keep himself alive, and while he was glad to have this little stick that apparently had been the key to becoming... whatever he was now, he'd look at the outfit later when he had a real chance... he wasn't sure how much good it would do against a monster half made of metal. Though its head and part of its body were human enough, so maybe if he could get it in one of the squishy places, he could do some damage to it. Or at least piss it off. "I hate to tell you this, but you have a terrible singing voice. Let's do something about that." At this point, Parthenon wasn't picky, so he gripped his little stick in his hand and turned, running at the creature with every intent to slam the wood (or maybe his elbow, if he could reach) into what passed for the monster's windpipe.

The youma prepared to screech, and instead made a strangled noise as Parthenon's stick made way into his throat, the beast lashing and gurgling, but not quite dead as one hand grabbed for Parthenon violently, it's eyes rolling. Miss Kitty cringed, headbutting Sailor Limosa urgently to go out and help with a mewl, the feline worrying intently. "He needs help Sailor Limosa! Go! Go!" Limosa required no prompting, grabbing the albino animal before charging out after Parthenion. Was she terrified? Incredibly, but the new-awakened senshi had work to do, and that meant charging and planting a kick into a weak, exposed point in the sternum, the youma shrieaking as it abandoned grabbing for Parthenon to writh, Limosa running to her sibling, whining. "Are you alright?"

"Fine, I'm - I'm fine," Parthenon said, stumbling back from the monster and reaching for the girl who ... well, it wasn't his sister, but help was help and so he'd take what he could get. Besides, it meant Cherish was (probably) still safe and hiding somewhere. ... He hoped. "Only a little dizzy, thanks to our friend's overzealous crooning." He frowned and rubbed at the back of his neck, then shifted his gaze from pretty girl to monster, frowning. "...Shall we put an end to its concert?"

Limosa knew that look, and was surprised he didn't recognize her, before nodding, deciding to burst his bubble later. The senshi nodded, Miss Kitty leaping to her shoulder with a coy smile, the cat's tail switching as Limosa glanced, the Mauvian nodding. "You should have a magical attack, Limosa. It will help you both I'm sure." She purred. The mauvian looked to Parthenon in amusement herself, and moved to his shoulders, purring to the handsome knight gently as she nodded. "I don't know what pages have, but, I think you will do well using your weapon, dear." Miss Kitty soothed, grooming him softly. Indirectly, she planned to remain until they powered down, to hide their auras - at least until Elpis came to the scene, if she was out. Still, these were now her kittens, and she would protect them. Limosa nodded, trying to fumble in her mind for the attack, before a tendril of instinct blossomed into what she needed to do, and she raised a hand gracefully, beaming warmly and nodding to Parthenon. "Let us drop the curtain. I want to get home before Grandfather worries." She said calmly. And then she summoned the Octopi on the youma, the beast screeching. Quote: Sailor Scout Attack: Limosa Octopus Ink Flurry Limosa summons approximately three small octopuses, whom shoot a cloud of ink at one target. The target will be unable to see Limosa, and her aura will not be identifiable as order or chaos; as a side effect their eyes may burn, for a total of 30 seconds She may use this attack 3 times a battle.
