Zue, on a self-imposed patrol in an attempt to reacquaint himself with the city, had been wandering for almost an hour now. A thankfully uneventful hour. The sun was setting, people milling about either heading home or heading to late night jobs - something he'd have to be doing soon, too - but all in all, it was a fairly peaceful day in Destiny City.
That ended as it sometimes did, with a flash of silver and door swinging open and into his face. He sputtered and recoiled, half bumped back by the sudden impact, and shook his head to shoo away the disorientation.
"WHAT THE HELL!" He yelled, despite himself, because really, what kind of store has a door that opens outwards, and who wouldn't check before leaving?!

There was a man shouting something behind her, but Ash was not sticking around to hear what horrible words he was choosing to use to describe her beautiful person.
He was just mad that one of his lovely smart phones was in her subspace pocket, and thought that the visor she was wearing was something else she'd stolen. This was going to have to be the last time she visited this particular store because they were getting wise to her 'oh look i'm so pretty' ways. Things went missing when the Burmilla was about.
Ignoring the people on the sidewalk as she came bursting out of the store, Ash skidded a quick turn and streaked for the side of the building, her tail a bottle brush behind her as the manager on duty came close behind, his coat flapping in his hands for a make-shift net to catch the small silver feline. It was, of course, ridiculous to think he'd actually manage it, but he was being awfully persistent as she dived under a car, crouched low so her pristine fur didn't touch the dirty underside of the vehicle. Green eyes wide, she hissed as he got down on his knees, searching for her in the shadows.
"Come on kitty... there's a pretty girl... come here kitty..." He cooed, making phs phs noises with his lips as he reached.
Ash mentally rolled her eyes as she eased away from him, wondering how long it would take him to give up on her.

Eventually, Zue gathered his wits enough to look around, still quite bewildered over what had just happened. He remained crouched, half leaning back as if ready to bolt at any moment, but too confused to do more than that just yet. His gaze settled on the man that came bursting from the store, watching on as he sank to his knees in front of a car, holding out his jacket and beckoning to something.
It took him a moment to hear the hissing, and another couple more to realize there was something different about the feline under the vehicle. He found himself crouching down low, trying to take his own peek at the captive. Huh…wait. He recognized the energy, though it was very faint from where he was. Another Guardian Cat? And this crazy man wanted to catch her?
Perhaps she deserved it. Maybe he should stay out of it. He didn't feel any obvious negative energy from the shop keep… Then again…who knows? This could lead to something bad.
With a growling hiss of his own, Zue launched himself at the kneeling man, pouncing on his back with all his might - and as a rather large Maine Coon, that was quite a bit. He dug all his claws into the man's shirt, hoping a few would find grip in flesh. The man howled in agony, uttering a stream of curses. The coat had been forgotten, and he was now grasping wildly over his shoulder, trying to grab the new threat.
"Run!" He cried to the silver one through his growls and hisses, hoping the shop keep wouldn't notice he'd actually spoken.

The last thing Ash expected right then was for something large and furry to launch itself at the man trying to entice her out from under the car. Her eye widened as she watched the man reel back in pain and begin desperately reaching for whatever had assaulted him.
By the burbling growl, it was another cat. Which would have been odd, until she heard the supposed cat shouting at her to run.
Very much not a cat. But at least the faint energy signature she felt wasn't chaos.
Ash took the opportunity to dart out of cover and further down the alley way, her tail like a flag behind her.
"This way!" She called back as she darted down the dirty pavement. Safety wasn't far, if she could get the other guardian to follow. There were little cat-sized bolt holes all over the city, if one knew how to look for them, and for that matter, HQ wasn't that far off either.
Around the corner and down the street, around another corner... They could pause if they made it that far and she could get a good look at the Mauvian who had decided to play white knight today.
