Nerost huffed a sigh. Leaving the pridelands was always a hassle for him and he usually preferred to stay within the safety of the pride, keeping an eye on his brothers and their children. Still, he had things to do that required him to leave the lands occasionally.
So here he was, out in the rogue lands. He carried a small skin that he would use to collect whatever he needed from the Outside. He just hoped his siblings wouldn't get into too much trouble while he was out. They sometimes had the habit of saying the wrong thing to the wrong person and suffering for it. With the herb patched depleting rapidly, there was a concern that the medicine would run out eventually.
So who better to find the herbs they needed, but a healer?
He huffed another sigh and began humming as he walked and began his search for the day.

Rexy had been wandering for a while now, and was beginning to feel the familiar ache of it in her legs and back. She was an older lioness, though not about to let anyone call her old just yet, and the long days of travel had worn her down a bit. It was part of her usual pattern, though, and these aches just told her that it was time to find a nice place to rest for a bit.
Her ears twitched and she turned her head, hearing something... singing? Not a bird, she decided, following the sound until she realized that it was the voice of another lion.
Not one on the hunt, clearly, or trying to sneak up on her.
She watched him carefully, frowning, before deciding to approach. She was very slow about it, not wanting to make it look like she was trying to start a fight. A touch girl though she was, she hardly found it necessary to start battles for the sake of it. Only if threatened, or defending something that was there.
"Hello, stranger. What... are you doing?"

The green lion's ear flicked towards the sound of a voice before his head turned. He was confident enough that he could at least defend himself if he were attacked out here, and he wasn't trying to conceal himself. With that in mind, he wasn't surprised that he was approached at all. His humming stopped abruptly.
He didn't expect to see what a scarred up lady, and he took a moment to study her, gauging the other. If there was one thing he had admiration for, it would be scars. Scars meant survival despite odds.
"Hello," He greeted in turn. He felt a brief flash of confusion, though. What was he doing? "I'm searching for herbs around here, unless you were referring to my humming?"

Rexy swished her tail behind her, but felt a smile playing over her worn features. She had plenty of battle scars from her hard life so far, literal and mental, but she had managed to make it pretty okay so far. She was not worried at the moment, too curious about the strange things surrounding this lion.
"Well, yes, the humming for a start," she said gracefully, nodding her head. She had a slow way about her, smiling warmly with a quiet kind of air around her. Peaceful, maybe.
"And that strange thing you're carrying. You said you're looking for herbs? Is that what that is for, then? Are you part of a pride, and this is your job or... oh. I'm sorry. That's a lot of questions all at once. I'm very sorry. I just... haven't run into anyone in a long while, I suppose."
She looked a little embarrassed, but not too fussed about it. It was honest curiosity, after all, and couldn't hurt, right?
