I'm looking to organize a fund raising event of sorts for the annual ball. I have two main ideas on that front and which one I end up going forward with will likely end up on if/what kind of help I receive in doing this, as well as opinions from all of you~ :3
Idea 1: A standard fundraiser event. I open up a thread in the charity forums for a couple of months asking people to donate to the Annual Ball, or to sign up with it too help out. I've done this kind of fundraiser in the past for the annual ball and it has had success in both raising funds and awareness of the annual ball.
Idea 2 : A Lake Kindred themed Fundraiser/Giveaway. This one is a bit more involved. First the thread would be in the LK forums. There are several Quest/Giveaway threads there were they give away Kindred and/or potions to new players. We would collect some Kin and do the same while also asking for donations. If we could get our hands on one of the tree killer Kin we could have a contest for people to win it as well. I was also thinking of running a sort of mini-event along with this were we ask people to pledge an amount, then Play LK to earn gold donating some of the gold they earned to the fundraiser. What would be even better is if we could get a good artist to offer up some artwork as a prize for a contest in the thread as well. The whole event would be about 2 to 4 weeks long.
Well. Thoughts? Ideas? Interested in helping?

For your first idea, I already have our kickstarter thread done and in the charity forums, however if you would like to make another one, more attention to it is never a bad thing. I'll be completely honest, with how long its been since you posted in the guild I believed you were completely MIA. It is rather Common for Committee leads to go MIA and never return. (I was just a bit surprised when you quoted me. xD ) I Ran a Fundraiser called Blue Forest for 3 years (For the 6th, 7th, and 8th annual balls.) Most Kin that we'd want for a general give away are rather cheap and the forum for LK hosts many threads doing give aways. People will even donate more Kin to these give aways. For getting a Tree Killar Kin I believe even the "Cheapest" ones are 15Bil Plus. So I wasn't honestly expecting the ball to pay for it, or to even be able to get one to do a contest. Though if I did I would use it as a reward for either something like a bumping or random number contest type thing. (More likely Bumping because than it could be a whoever has the highest bump count at the end of the giveaway gets it). For Artwork as a Prize I'm unsure, I was first thinking along the lines of the highest completed Pledge could get it. Then I remembered that highest Donator contests are against the Rules. (Since their basically an Auction by another name). If your willing, we could do an art auction in the thread as well, offering up a drawing of a person's avatar with their favorite Kin as the prize. Beyond this I just need to decide on the layout and get graphics done for the thread. Oh and pick a date range for it. :3 However, Me working on this will have to wait until after I finish my college course work over the weekend. ^.^

As they are expense as hell. The only better priced one I know much about is Shadow Grunny @ 12bil. I haven't looked into most of them personally though. :3 For the Graphics. I would say LK themed? Past that I need to be almost done writing up the thread before I'll be 100% sure with what I need Graphics wise. I know some of what I need, but I don't like putting in a work order unless I know everything I'm going to need. : 3 I'll let you work on getting most of the prizes. I'll be donating around 20 or so of the bunny event Kins myself for the giveaway part. : 3 Oh, and if you get more artists who want in the auction, let me know. ^.^ That'll effect the Layout and Graphics I'll need. :3

MKAY I have started working on this. I have some questions. What kind of art auction are you going to be doing? just sort of posting up art profiles and throwing us to the wolves or would you like some of us to draw up some pictures and show our profiles and get people to bid on it, and they end up with a LK themed mystery picture? Actually scratch that, that's probably against the rules. How the hell do Art Auctions on gaia work without breaking the rules? Or what? LOL I'm assuming you had an idea for it as well - I just forgot to ask how you were going to orchestrate it. Okay. Obviously I need more booze to get my brain to work. LOL. Idea: without booze btw (you'll know when theres alcohol involve, then the ideas get REALLY creative) If I can round up a couple few artists, (including myself... >_<...ugh I know I'm going to regret this) We offer like three pictures each. We can "sell" our art, like an art shop, but theres a very a limited amount of pictures. So say there is 3 artists, with 3 pictures each, all with different styles, there is 9 pictures up for grabs. One may have chibi style, one may be hand drawn, the other one is like a general style of avatar art. But each picture is 'played' for via dice roll. All proceeds go to the annual ball. For each dice for example, it's 1 billion gold (or whatever). They can buy as many dice as they want and they can roll say a hundred sided dice, and the three people who say get a specific number get the pictures?: Holy ******** idk if that made sense. TLDR: People purchase "tickets" to roll for dice. for every set amount of gold, that's one more dice they get to role in their post. A person can only win one picture, but three pictures can be won from each artist. (or however many) but the more dice purchased the more chance they have to win.

Brokuto DJ Hope 1990 Brokuto (has been lurking) theres actually an art action part of the forums so it shouldnt be breaking any rules and we can possibly look to see how theyre run as well. ive seen group art actions up on there before as well. we dont want the artists to take up too much though other wise theyll just back out completely . youve unbroken my brain ty! Renato is also awol and the fact that Epcot has to approve of artists obs didnt work so im contacting everyone that applied atm asking if theyd be interested in an art action. I'll approve artists (mainly so we have a base level of quality), don't worry about that. I'm also happy to help make art too.

I'm totally down for an auction or a raffle. I've hosted both of them as well so I can help set it up if need be. Here's the raffle I've done in the past if curious and and auction I've also done. I'd be willing to throw in two fullbody full colors or a fullbody full color couple piece. edit; I say only that much, but knowing me I'd contribute more because I love a big workload. But whatever's decided upon, I'd down to help out.
