History:
xxxIf someone had asked Emeline to tell her story, she would immediately know that there wasn't much to tell. The Lowells have been reliable pokémon breeders for many generations. Found only in Slateport City, people would often cross the widest seas to catch the prime pokémon the Lowells sold at the Slateport market. Born as an only child into such a large legacy, Emeline was often swept up in familial obligations. With so much to learn and so many pokémon to care for, Emeline never really had time to socialize or make friends. In fact, her closest and only friend was her childhood Growlithe, Meringue. Over time, Emeline was too disheartened by watching all the pokémon she raised leave for good homes. She built an emotional wall and didn't dare get too close to the pokémon she bred, since she knew that they'd leave very soon anyways. All things considered, she lived a relatively monotonous, lonely life. The only one she dared to lower her guard for was her dearest Meringue.
xxxIt was only recently that in the regular humdrum routine of her day, Emeline accidentally irritated an Arbok she'd been caring for. The serpentine pokémon lurched back before striking Emeline, poisoning her. As the young girl slumped down to the floor, Meringue started to yap and snarl furiously until her mother rushed over to her and called for her father to come quickly. Emeline woke up in her bed, with Meringue curled up on her lap, already feeling much better after being cared for by her parents. Her eyes dully watched the ceiling fan rotate, and time seemed to stand still. She'd realized that she'd been living in a rut, and that this was truly the most exciting thing to happen to her in a very long time. This was it, and it was already over. Her brow furrowed in determination and she decided that no matter how upset her parents were, she would start her journey as something more than just a breeder.
xxxShortly after Emeline took Meringue and fled, she received a pokéball and a letter in the mail from her parents. In the pokéball was a young Riolu that Emeline had recently started caring for back at home. Since Emeline left, he'd been noticeably upset and rarely touched his food. In the Riolu's best interest, her parents sent him over to live a happy, functional life. Emeline's stomach sank slightly. She remembered being indifferent to this little Riolu, expecting him to leave her someday soon, and yet it was her who left him. She immediately released him from the pokéball, hugged him close, and named him Cobbler.
xxxNow, as she nears ever-closer to Littleroot Town, Emeline grows even more nervous and excited to start her journey with her two good friends.
Personality: Living under her family's expectations, Emeline was raised to be loyal, dependable, and obedient. She is very honest, and can sometimes be rather blunt. She's been extremely sheltered due to her life being led by the day's duties. The only friend she'd known was her childhood Growlithe, Meringue. She was often hurt by watching the pokémon that she bred leave to be adopted into good homes. To stop the heartache, Emeline distanced herself and stopped growing close to anything and everything. Thus, she can seem quite cold or apathetic. However, there seems to be a fire in her belly that has been snuffed all her years. Leaving her family behind seems to kindle the spark, and who knows how she'll act when uninhibited by obligations to others.

Skills: Staying at home, she's had exceptional practice with a few abilities. Emeline is a proficient baker and pianist. As the result of generations of breeders, she seems to have a knack for getting along with pokémon. Due to her profession in caring for pokémon, she's built great interpersonal skills and can often understand others' perspective. After staying in her home like a pidgey in a cage, Emeline's patience is as strong as steel so long as she puts her mind to it. Due to her newfound freedom, her determination to claim what she wants seems to be bolstered.
