Silver and green fur rustled slightly as the female pup laid curled up in a ball in a rock crevasse just big enough to fit her. It was shaping up into a fruitful spring and she had been finding plenty of rodents and bird eggs to eat so she was growing well enough for being on her own. Ears twitched slightly as she dreamed of things she didn't understand. Eyes flashed open and she stared out into the vast landscape that extended before her from her small enclosure.
Stretching her legs out, she slinked forward and pulled herself from the security of the place she had started to call home. At least until she grew to big for it, which would likely be in another week or so. Jaws stretched as she yawned and she shook her body, her claws digging into the cool earth as she glanced around to ensure everything was safe. Satisfied with everything she stalked into the underbrush nearby in search of some birds that were learning to fly that had fallen from their nests. She thought she might get lucky to find a few.
She moved as quite as she could and paused every now and again to look around. She scented the air and caught the smell of someone she didn't know. She looked around trying to spot the owner of the scent but she didn't see anyone yet.
