Having found out Terry liked anime, and manga, like he did Seung had decided that when he went to get a new manga he would bring Terry with him to the bookstore he’d found. The store had a whole basement floor dedicated to manga, both in Japanese and English. The bookstore looked normal when you entered as it was well lit and filled with books and various sections, from cooking and travel to fantasy and scifi books the stores book choices ran the spectrum. It was in the back, to the right, that there was a set of spiral stairs which led down to the basement floor which was well lit as well, and decorated. The basement floor spanned the length and width of the store and was nothing by manga.
There was a table filled with newly released manga, both in English and Japanese. A few little decorations filled the table as well. It looked like the workers in this department were fans themselves, considering the decorations and how some were for more obscure and less popular series’. It was nice though and with fans who ranged in age from still in middle school, if he were to guess, to young adult it was a good mix. There had been a point on the stairs when they could see over the tops of the isles and see how many heads of people were down here in the manga department and it seemed a dozen or so people were down here though how many were workers he didn’t know.
At the bottom of the stairs there were baskets and Seung took one, not sure how many they’d buy. “First find what you want.” He said glancing to Terry with a smile.

When it came to anime, Terry had liked it for years now thanks to growing up with some anime that were on after school, manga had followed a bit behind. So when Seung invited him to go with him to the bookstore for some manga it didn’t take long for him to agree. Just looking at the bookstore when they got there he decided he would have to mention it to Matt since he was sure to love it. “We might be here a while then.” Terry joked with a small smile. While he did had quite a few different manga series he followed along with, he did try to limit the amount he bought at one time. “So when did you find the store?” He asked as he followed the other, glancing at the different titles they were near.

“Soon after moving here...like manga and anime and cosplay. Was looking for new series’...interesting ones.” He said shrugging a bit as he glanced about as he turned and prodded the other. “Let’s fine for you first.” Nodding his head as he spoke, to sort of enforce his words.Holding the empty basket, knowing soon it would have at least a manga or two in it, he took the time to look at the other customers whenever they passed any as well as peek down each isle.
“Going to get mine in Japanese...can teach you if you want.” He offered, though he still was working on helping the other learn some basic Korean words - the important ones. He still was amused, and proud, that Terry had decided to look up yeobo on his own and could pronounce it right.

“You like to cosplay? Have you done it often?” He asked with a smile. He had personally never cosplayed before unless you counted dressing up for Halloween or his Pokemon inspired outfit that he had. When Seung said they would pick his first he just nodded and lead the other over to where he could see a few of the series he followed. “Sure. It would be nice to be able to read them in their native language at some point. Things tend to get lost in translation at times.” He nodded as he picked up one of the books. Though he supposed it could get a bit confusing to be learning Korean and Japanese at the same time.

“Have friend back home, asked to go do with her - pairs. Liked it and continued. Started to go to gym - keep in shape and look better in cosplay. Am working on costumes for this year.” He answered with a light pink coloring to his cheeks. He had started to go to the gym for the costumes, to look the part better, but he had found he liked it and liked looking good. It wans’t just the comments about how he looked like a character but because he heard the compliments when not in cosplay. “Started to like going to the gym, looked good.” He said with a smile aimed toward the other before glancing around them. The shelves of manga were taller than Terry was, maybe six foot high guess from how much taller it was then Terry. He felt for any short workers they might have who had to stock the higher up shelves. “Have costumes from before in closet...wore one for Halloween. I’ve saved them - all of them.” He could show them all to the other, wear a few if Terry asked, maybe he could show him the hanbok he’d made also?
Nodding he smiled. “Yes, can happen. Finding that out while learning English...makes meaning hard...cause tone of voice can change it.” He said while watching to see what Terry was picking out, wanting to know what series’ he liked. If Terry seemed to go for similar series’ than he had an idea for gifts for the other, he could pick a random series that fell into the same genre.

“Good reason to get into it.” He said with a smile. “What kind of costumes have you dressed up as so far?” While he wouldn’t necessarily recognise some of the costumes depending on what the other had dressed up as, there was always the chance he would. Besides it was nice to learn more about the other and what his interests were. “Yes, I can see how that can get confusing when it comes to reading. Happens from time to time even when it comes to English native speakers for English books.” He chuckled and picked out a few more books including the first few volumes of Saint Seiya. He had been meaning to look into that one since he had seen some of the episodes of the anime.

“Know Ouran high school?” He asked as a counter to Terry’s question. “Dressed as Kyoya...dressed for Halloween here too.” With his own hair being as...unique as it was he had to use wigs and he had those included in the bag with each costume. It wasn’t too bad and the costumes he made himself, using high quality fabrics as if the uniform or outfit were real. He used what it really would and should be made from...save for metal and such of course. He was not about to learn to work metal or get someone who could, if he could have even found someone.
“Can show you sometime...have many.” He had a lot more, and he did remember most of them, but it was better to perhaps just show the other at some point.
“Yes, have heard it happens when translating to English...and can happen with own language - double meaning...hidden meaning.” He said nodding his head as he spoke. He understood that well. As he moved to look over some of the titles, tilting his head sideways in order to read them, he was surprised to hear footsteps coming their way. Turning his head a bit he spotted two females, one further back from the other. Perhaps they needed help? One of them was headed toward Terry, their eyes on him rather on them both or himself giving that away.

“Yes I know it. I watched the anime and read the manga.” He said and gave a smile. “I bet you made a cute Kyoya. I would love to see them.” He was curious as to what else the other had dressed up as but if asked would agree it would be best to see rather than hear about it. After all it was funner to see someone dressed up rather than hear how they had been dressed up. He watched as Seung checked on some of the titles and didn’t notice the footsteps right away until the other turned. His eyes darted over to where the other man was looking as he turned his head to see better and blinked when he was the two girls heading their way. “Hello.” He said to be polite with a small smile.

“I can show you…” His cheeks had flush a light pink at the others comment on how cute he must have looked. He hadn’t at the time, and still didn’t, think he looked cute in the outfit but if the other thought it who was he to deny it? He would say handsome more than anything personally. The outfit looked good and was accurate, he’d watched the anime and read the manga previous to making the costume. When it had come time to making the outfit he’d pulled up as many pictures as he could on his computer screen, at full size, so he could work off of them to get everything right. “Have pictures.” He said while skimming over the manga titles, hoping to hide his blush, some of them had hearts about them but all of them were easy to read the titles oh. So many series and so many volumes. They had to be up to date on what they had, he was sure of it. The staff, and the store itself, must be dedicated to the manga they had and have a dedicated and large group of manga readers otherwise why so many? “Have some am working on for this year...have conventions here so planning to go.” They weren’t done yet, he’d had hanbok to make and that was more important, but he’d have them done in time no worries.
He was going to offer to perhaps dress up for the other when the girls greeted him, the one closer to Terry smiling as she started to speak to him and make little gestures. He didn’t understand some of what was said and her lowered voice was part of the cause for it. But also his English was still...sketchy in areas and flirting was one of them, which from the gestures and tone of voice he had a feeling she was doing. He didn’t flirt with the other, it wasn’t a thing for him. Tapping his foot on the carpeted floor, some sort of dull and flat carpet meant to cover the floors of heavily trafficked areas, as he listened to the girl talking even if he didn’t understand most of it. Ohh...what manga to pick? So many titles and some he had to back up to and read again as he was starting to get absorbed in listening in on the girl talking to Terry.

Terry smiled and agreed that he would love to see the pictures, finding the flush the other was hiding cute. His eyes darted around the store briefly to take in more of the manga titles and he could see people walk by the end of the row with different sizes of book stacks before he looked back to Seung. “What kind of costumes are you working on?” He asked just before the girls spoke up. At first he didn’t notice that the girl was flirting with him, having only been paying her less than half attention. Which was rude of him yes but he had been paying more attention to Seung so he had good reason. However once he did notice her he gave her a quick look over, and while she was cute, he was already taken and happily so. He then subtly stepped a bit closer to Seung. He was polite in responding but trying to gently turn her down at the same time.

“Eiri Yuki from Gravitation is one.” He said thinking of the outfit he had all done, he needed the hair for it. He already had contacts and glasses for it. The shoes he still needed to get as well. Looking up in order to flip his hair from his face, tucking the dyed hair behind his pierced ear, he wondered if he should take that into account also and remove his piercings and use fake ones where needed? He’d done it before, for characters that had none. But he didn’t always remove what he wore. When he kept them in, for a cosplay where there weren’t certain or all the piercings, he tended to use just plain silver balls that were small - little studs.
Looking over the two girls, both who seems to be perhaps just out of high school, though he could be wrong, he let his eyes travel over both of them. Long dark hair on one of them while the other had slightly shorter blond hair. Dark eyes and the one further away, not flirting with Terry, he couldn’t tell. He supposed both were cute in their little jeans and boots, Uggs, and the short puppy coats they had on.
Listening as the dark haired one, the one flirting with Terry, had any anime he’d suggest and perhaps they could go up to the cafe and talk about their favorite manga - he could suggest some good ones to her. The upstairs had a cafe, a nice small dimly lit area that seemed almost separate from the cafe had shelves of books surrounding it’s right and left side and even shelves in front of it with an archway of books, all for sale, making it some little tucked away thing that both seemed separate and hidden in some sort of quaint manner.
Watching Terry step closer to him he leaned in to whisper a question to him, grabbing a random manga from the shelf to cover what he was whispering. “Don’t think she cute?” He asked nosing the others ear before he pulled back and went to look over the manga he had grabbed, random was it was, it didn’t look too bad. Flipping it to look at the cover he nodded once and put it into the basket he was carrying. Tapping his bottom lip, idly, with his index finger as he went back to skimming titles. He knew Terry was bisexual and had no issue with it, even if it wasn’t his thing, and had no issue with the other looking either. If he was uncomfortable however Terry would say something, he was sure of it, and then he’d do something. Until then however...well he was going to find a few new manga to check out and maybe find some other ones as well; the place did have an amazing selection.
The blond girl seemed to have decided to nudge her friend and encourage her a bit before drifting past and toward him tell him that her friend was interested in his friend. Friend? He did almost want to laugh but refrained from it, kept from smiling too much, as he nodded his head in agreement. They were friends...of a sort.

Terry had to smile at the thought of Seung dressing up as Eiri Yuki. While he personally hadn’t seen the anime or read the manga, he had seen pictures of what the character looked like. He would have to look into the series in the future, maybe Seung would like to watch it with him sometime. They could have an anime night like they have had game nights and watch different animes, or maybe marathon a series each time. Either way he would have to run it by the other to see if he was interested in the idea.
He kept being polite in his responses to the girl, offering up a few different anime he had liked though he turned down to suggestion that they go to the cafe. He could remember what the cafe looked like when Seung and he had passed it before and while he would be fine with them all going up there and talking if it had been just a meeting and a discussion of likes, He didn’t really want to end up encouraging her the wrong way on accident.
While splitting his attention between the girl and Seung, he heard when the other asked and he whispered back, trying to not to make it seem like he was ignoring her. “Sure she’s cute, but I’m not interested.” He gave a very small shrug that hopefully only Seung would catch. Thankfully it seemed that the dark haired one had been distracted by her friend while he had responded to the other man. He had no plans on encouraging her but he didn’t want to be mean about it either.

Smiling as he continued to watch Terry for another moment his attention drifted to the blond who was talking to him, as it seemed she either wanted to move him elsewhere for the sake of her flirting friend, to give her a chance, or in order to make a pass at him in private. He wasn’t sure which but when asked if he was Japanese, assumption made, he shook his head. “Korean.” He answered before deciding to indulge her just a touch. “Fluent in Japanese.” But as it seemed Terry was still trying to be polite, while giving a hint of not being interested, Seung was wondering if he should perhaps step in anyway? It really wasn’t something he wanted to do unless asked, or needed.
The girl however was intent upon having the other talk and perhaps go for coffee or tea, whichever he liked, so they could talk more. After all it was so packed and busy down here. Now he decided to pipe up, just as she was going into how nice the cafe was. “It is nice.” Smiling he tilted his head a bit and approached, closing the short distance between himself and Terry. Holding up a manga as he pressed himself against the others back, an arm going right about the waist waist, and showing him the mangas cover. It was something fantasy, magical, and didn’t look bad. “Can read together...before bed?” If she was going to keep dropping such obvious hints to her intentions he was going to drop a hint to the truth of things.
But to soften it, just a bit, he smiled from one girl to the other. “Can go up to the cafe and talk about animes we like, series and manga. Just want to finish finding some. Can talk after, show and compare.” He offered with a brilliant smile.

She sure was persistent he decided, a bit amused with how she was going about this. At this point he was about to turn to Seung to see what the other had to think about the idea about the cafe but hadn’t gotten to it when that thought was aborted. Terry looked over at Seung when he spoke up, watching as he moved closer and giving him a small smile. He wasn’t watching for the girls reaction when the other pressed against him, instead looking at the manga he was showing. His smile got a bit bigger at the others words and larger hint he dropped then gave a nod. “Sure, any others you might want to read before bed?”
Terry then looked over at the girls to see how they reacted to see the dark haired one agreeing to go to the cafe though still not quite getting the hint. Meanwhile her blond friend looked between him and Seung with an ‘ah ha!’ look on her face before the look shifted to a mix between ‘that’s cute’ and embarrassment for her friend. He shook his head slightly before giving them both another smile. “Sounds like a plan to me. Do you ladies still have manga to look for? If so we could meet you up at the cafe.”

“Mmm.” Humming an answer against the others neck his dark eyes focused on the dark haired female, she really seemed clueless. Was it that she was clueless or was she so persistent that she didn’t see it? Didn’t get what they were all but bluntly saying to her? He would rather think her clueless as opposed to “Get what you want and I’ll go get another.” When Terry had questioned him, asked if there was anything else to read before bed, he had been hit with an idea on how to tease the other and perhaps now hint further to the girl.
Watching as the blond mentioned she wanted to get a few more manga he offered to go with her, she understood and seemed nice enough. “Can talk while we pick some and can head up together then with you.” Glancing about he peeked out to the main aisle and glanced over the signs at the top of each shelf. Spotting the one he wanted he looked to the brunette then. “Should get anything you want too.” Taking off, the blond ready to follow him, he had a plan to pick up a manga he rather liked, maybe two, in English for himself and Terry...oh this was going to be fun.
