Days in the Academy had been rather lonely since her best friend had moved up to Senior classes. It wasn't that she still didn't occasionally see Odessa from time to time but she always seemed so busy between classes or her boyfriend. That didn't mean that Kara didn't have other friends, of course she did, but none of them were all that close to her. She let out a breath when she saw a picture of the two of them together. Well, she couldn't stay in her Dorm forever reading her life away, she needed a little socialization.
Grabbing her jacket, she slipped it on and quietly opened the door so that she wouldn't disturb her roommate. She wasn't quite sure where or what she was going to do, but maybe she'd run into someone she knew and find something to do, she hoped at least. There had to be something going on, didn't there? Maybe she'd head down to the local cafe first and get a cup of coffee, it seemed to be a popular spot and maybe she'd find something to do there. One Little Jay Oh man... so sorry. I'm absolutely terrible with writing up openings. I hope it's okay. ><;; They can run into each other where ever?

Seray was doing what he did best, observing the interactions between others, and where else to do it than a busy cafe. He watched as friends laughed at one another's jokes. As once couple clearly new to their relationship sipped coffee awkwardly across from each other. He was sure that that pairing was never going to work. He almost wanted to tell them now not to waste their time. Looking back at the group of friends he eyed one girl who was obviously the odd one out, she laughed to hard and tried too much to be noticed by the others while it was clear that they wanted little to do with her. The poor pathetic creature, he had to look away and that was when he noticed a girl walk in the door that was a familiar face, a girl he had seen in his classes before he began to observe her, he wondered who it was she was meeting; if anyone.

When Kara opened the door, she noticed it was a lot busier than she had been expecting for this early in the day. She glanced around for anyone she might recognize and was a bit disappointed, not even her friend was working today though she knew the barista's name from the couple of times she had visited before. She ordered a grasshopper and paid, looking for an empty seat, which had taken longer than she had imagined it would with the amount of business.
When she finally did find a seat, she was a bit surprised that she did see someone she at least recognized from school, though she didn't know much about him. Coincidentally, the seat she found was right next to his and she thought it was strange if she didn't at least say hi. She gave a small little wave, "Hey. You're Seray, right? My name is Kara. I've seen you in a few of the same classes." She gave a polite smile as she sat down at the empty table next to his and took a sip of her mint coffee.

Seray was well aware that Kara was going to come sit near him, after all it was one of the only seats in the place that wasn't full. He wondered what the enticement of mint coffee was, it didn't sound very good to him. "Oh yes, that's me. I'm learning I seem to be a popular fellow. I have seen you around. Not enough to take the time or effort to learn your name as you have mine but still now that I know it I will not forget it Miss Kara. What brings you here if I may ask?" He waited for her answer, he would of course write it down to better help his studies. He wondered for a second if she might think that strange of him, not that he really cared what others thought of him.

One Little Jay Sorry for the double quote, forgot to turn off my sig. She looked over the rim of her cup at him, remembering why she had never talked to him much before, he always seemed a little rude. However, that hadn't changed that she tried to be as kind to people as she could, and who knew, maybe he could surprise her. It was better to give people a benefit of a doubt than to just lump them into one category, there had to be more to him, right? And at the very least, he did mention that he'd remember her name next time, so that was a plus. "Boredom, mostly. I didn't want to spend all my time cooped up in my dorm. What about you?"

Seray nodded writing down the reason she said she was here. It seemed like a reasonable enough reason. Without looking up he said, "Oh me? I just like to watch social interactions and determine the reasonings for them." He shrugged it was all for him though he wouldn't admit that because lets face it people thought being watched was creepy.
