Family Information

Father - Hólmgeir | Reaver
Very traditional, stoic and steady. He holds the values of the pride in high esteam. A powerful male both physically and in personality, he is a stalwart of the pride. He believes males should be the protectors and providers of the pride and females should stay home and rear cubs and look after the pride's interior. That said his own daughters are supported fully if they decide to become reavers, no one said a father can't be proud of his kids.... He is not a bully but has little tolerance for misbehaviour. A stern and authorative father, husband and reaver.
Born into the pride he is a proper old school Stormborn and can trace his linage back through many generations.

Mother - Sóma | Freeborn
Sweet, kind and thoughtful. Soma is still a traditionally minded Stormborn, and takes her duties as a freeborn and a mother seriously. Nevertheless if her daughters show the guts and determination to become reavers, she will fully support them and has no trouble standing up to other members of the pride in defence of her family.
She was born into the pride and can trace her linage back through many generations of Stormborn.



Aunt - Brenna | Freeborn/unofficial Bard
A classic Stormborn. Gutsy, proud and fearless. Sister to Sóma and an incredibly sassy lady. She will visit often as the sisters are still very close and will have a big influence on the cubs.








Brother - Ronan | Reaver
The eldest of the siblings. He is a hard lion and rather cold hearted, one who embodies the warrior spirit. Tough and determined he lives for reaving. He is not wholly without emotion though and does sometimes take time out to unwind and relax about the pride, but during those periods he will often be found alone, disliking rowdy company.



Brother - Ragnvard | Captain
Second born. Ragnvard is a sharp-minded male, cunning and sly, possessing neither remorse or pity. A master tactician and skilled both as a straight up fighter and as a Captain. Charasmatic and charming when it suits him but capable of acts of incredible violence and destruction. To those loyal to him he is Master and Provider both, assuring his reavers never want for anything, be it food, thralls or fights. In return he demands obediance and dedication to their goals. He is heavily involved in the education of younger members, believing the strength of the pride lives in the future generations. He is a true Stormborn, living and adhering to the very heart of the Myrsky Syntynyt philosophy. Strength is all, weakness will not be tolerated.

Ragnvard wasn't always evil. Ronan is the elder brother and Ragnvard used to look up to him. But Ran was always more ambitious and violent than Ronan felt comfortable with, so Ronan tended to avoid his clingy younger brother. Ran couldn't understand why his brother abandoned him, not realising it was his own behaviour that drive Ronan away.

Brother - Raskogr | Lawspeaker
Weak, conniving, devious. From the same litter as Ragnvard and Ronan, he was third-born and the runt of the litter. Unlike his stronger brothers he never took to the reaver life. Instead he had a sharp mind and excellent memory. Combined with his sly and shrewd nature he took to life as a lawkeeper. While his father doesn't really care either way so long as his son is successful, Raskogr feels as if the entire family disapproves. Which has made him bitter and resentful. He and his brothers have never gotten along, Ronan treats him well enough but has his own concerns. Ragnvard will use him for his lawspeaker skills but the two brothers tend to clash when in close proximity. Ragnvard considers lawspeakers to be weak but dangerous, which strains their already tense relationship.

Sister - Rayn | Reaver
Exceptionally smart, this lioness is known for her cunning and quick wit. She can read other lions easily and often uses her ability to manipulate them into doing things for her. Her skill at advanced battle stratagem is unparallel, making her an incredibly valuable asset to a reaving band. Though she lacks the brute strngth of most reavers, her sharp mind makes up for it. Her first loyalty is to herself, then her family, and then the pride.
Though she was too young to have been involved in the original assassination, being born of a later litter to her older brothers and sisters, she sided with Ragnvard upon entering adulthood, knowing that her ambitious red-coated brother would be able to carry her own carreer forwards more swiftly than her tacturn golden brother. A totally stratigic move for her own gain.
She will remain with Ragnvard's band until he finally meets someone he can't kill, then she will look for a new Captain to serve.

Sister - Raija | Freeborn (poss priestess)
Born in the couple's current litter. Like her name she is bright and sunny and completely imperious. A true little princess she knows what she wants and she isn't afraid to take it. She is also highly individual, despite coming from a very plain-coloured family this little female makes her voice heard loud and clear. Picking Ronan over Ragnvard as her favored brother she is the golden lion's loud-mouthed defender and a thorn in the sides of all those who favour Ragnvard. But she takes after Ragnvard more than she does her other siblings, being smart and sly and willing to bend the rules to get what she wants. Thankfully for her parents she is a little more altruistic than her darker brother.




Sister - Renáta | Freeborn (to reaver)
Abrupt and no-nonsense, this little girl is the exact oppersit of her littermate Raija. The drama between her various family members annoys her and from an early age she decides to become a reaver for the sole purpose of escaping her unruly rabble of siblings. She takes no notice of Ragnvard or Raskogr, and it fairly annoyed that she resembles the lawspeaker of the family so closely. Their resemblance has been pointed out to her by well-meaning pridemembers all her life, which has made her take his weakness as a personal slight. Refusing to be drawn into the family drama that her siblings seem intent on propergating, she quickly develops a prickly and unwelcoming manner. But in truth she is just a practical and sensibly minded lioness.

These cubs will be involved in the family plot/war in some way. They also will be required to stay in the pride.
A name must be given with the entry and begin with an 'R'. Traditional viking names, or something plausibly similar/made up. (Scandinavian, Danish, Icelandic, Norwegian, Finnish, Swedish ect).

Name: Ragna
Meaning/Origin (if applicable): Old Norse "Advice, Counsel"
Personality: Ragna will be much like Renáta in not wanting to involve herself too deeply with the drama that surrounds many of their family members. However, instead of taking the rank of Reaver to get away from it all she will seek the role of Priestess and become absorbed with training. She will not tolerate unnecessary drama but that doesn't mean she won't start any of her own. She will be sly and cunning with her words and feign innocent to any accusations thrown her way. She will be calm and collected and prove strong and stable in stressful situations. While she might not be evil, she does have a nasty temper if provoked. She will cut you down with not only her words but her teeth and claws. She isn't afraid to act this way towards any siblings that bring out that side of her either. She strongly believes you get what you ask for, so one needs to be careful what they say around her because she may use your words against you later in life.
Future rank: Freeborn to Priestess
Opinion on Ragnvard/Ronan 'issue': Just as there are two sides to every story she will try to remain as neutral as she can for as long as she can in the whole ordeal. When it comes down to it she will end up taking Ronan's side and support him in any way she possibly can. However, she isn't going to openly broadcast her allegiance.
Family Plots: She will remain in the shadows of the entire war until it's absolutely necessary to make herself known. She will however partake in minor plots that don't require much of her when she's younger. Ones that preferably keep her neutral to both sides until she's got enough followers of her own to make a stand without being cut down by Ragnvard.
Personal plots: She will try to gather her own little band of followers. While she isn't going to be a Captain she still wants to have those that are loyal to her and will support her in any cause she sets forth to conquer.
She will enlist the help of my two stormborn cubs for later plots. I may actually self pair her to my boy, if he proves worthy enough of her.

Name: Ritva
Meaning/Origin (if applicable): Finnish - Branch of a birch tree
Personality: By no means gullible, Ritva has a sharp mind that can find falacies in lies. Because she's all about honor and the truth, she's taken a strong disliking to Ragnvard, believing him to be a loud-mouthed coward and nothing more. She also very deeply admires Raskogr, since being a Lawspeaker in the face of a tradition of being Reavers takes its own kind of bravery. Even so young, her words are usually carefully thought out and spoken with tact.
Future rank: Reaver
Opinion on Ragnvard/Ronan 'issue': She very much believes Ronan - He might be her favorite brother, even!
Family Plots: She'd act all friendly to Ragnvard, and try to get dirt on him and how he became a captain. And then she would try to use it to utterly DESTROY him via his reputation.
Personal plots: She'll try her best to find a mate who's a born and red Stormborn, preferably of old blood and more natural colors. She doesn't want a mate that's pink or green or anything!
Other: She looks like a toasted marshmallow and I love that. Yeah, I couldn't think of anything else to put in this space.

Name: Runa
Meaning/Origin (if applicable): Norwegian - Secret
Personality: Runa takes after her mother more than anyone else. Quiet and sweet she is very proud to be a freeborn female. While she does not begrudge those females who choose to become Reavers or even captains she herself has no interest in being one herself. She wants to remain in the pride taking care of all the things the Reavers have no time to do.
Future rank: Freeborn
Opinion on Ragnvard/Ronan 'issue': They need to stop competing and be brothers. They will be stronger as a team than they are individually.
Family Plots: Runa will never choose a side. To her family belongs together, that being said all though she does not support the battle the two brothers have going on she loves them both deeply. When they come home wounded she works to help both of them get back in the best of shape. She wants her brothers to forgive each other and get to a place where they can work together. She hates that their feud causes the whole family to divide.
Personal plots: As soon as she is a teen Runa will start looking for a freeborn and reaver to mate. She would prefer a Reaver as a mate only because she feels like they need the most help keeping their family and thralls in check while they are out on viking trips. She hopes to bear cubs and raise proper little vikings.

Name: Rika
Meaning/Origin (if applicable): Ruler - Swedish
Personality: Loyal to a fault. Rike will choose sides in the battle from an early age and will remain loyal to that brother without a fault. It doesn't matter if the brother proves later to be untrustworthy Rika would find some excuse for why they weren't at fault for their auctions. She will do anything and everything to help her favoured brother.
Future rank: Reaver
Opinion on Ragnvard/Ronan 'issue': She be completely and utterly loyal to Ronan from a young age. She loves that she looks like her older brother (even though she is paler than him). She hates Ragnvard for trying to harm her favourite brother.
Family Plots: She will train long and hard to become a strong Reaver so she can join the ban Ronan is in. She will seek to protect her brother even though he likely does not need her protection.
Personal plots: For the most part her thrive to become a Reaver will be what dominates her life. She wants nothing more than to accompany Ronan everywhere that he goes and with everything she does. At some point in her adulthood she will realize that she should infact have a litter of cubs. She will be a great mother to them even if that means taking a break from being a Reaver.

Name: Rebekka (I have seen it as being used in Danish)/Renata
Meaning/Origin (if applicable): young woman whose beauty ensnares men/ warrior of judgment
Personality: Those that know her would call her quite brave. She’ll be the first to charge into a battle and likes the thrill of fighting. She knows there is a risk with every battle, but as a stormborn she wants to live up to her heritage and her pride. She’ll even spar with others for fun or before going on a raid. She is also quite ambitious as she wants to become a reaver as an adult and knows that it’s a bit harder for females to gain that title. However she is willing to do whatever it takes because she just can’t see herself stuck as a freeborn, not helping the pride in getting supplies, slaves, and what have you. She wants to be directly involved in helping the pride and she believes the best way she can do that is by becoming a reaver. Because of this she is quite fearless, even knowing that there can be danger. She feels though that it is her duty as a stormborn to face every challenge without fear and she would be honored to die in battle rather than on the sidelines, unable to defend herself.
Becoming a reaver also means that one must be tough enough to do so and she tries her best to fit that requirement. She doesn’t like to express emotions she considers weak such as fear, sadness, etc. She does not like any emotion that will ultimately distract her in battle or out of it. That includes anger as she does believe that too much of it can be a detriment, eventually you are unable to tell the difference between what is right and what one thinks is right.
With all of these qualities, she has certainly become quite confident in herself. She doesn’t believe she can win every battle, but she will try anyway and knows that she has done enough training to know that she can already overcome many things, especially getting accepted as a reaver even though she is a female. She doesn’t quite understand though why there are such gendered prejudices though, even against males. She may think of those males as weak, but if they are not good enough to be in battle, why not allow them in a role they are more suited for?
She doesn’t really have any positive or negative views on slaves, only that if they did not want to be captured, they should have tried harder to not be caught or to die in battle. She does however recognize their usefulness.
Future rank: Reaver
Opinion on Ragnvard/Ronan 'issue': She has a higher opinion of Ragnvard than Ronan. She doesn’t believe Ronan is wrong per se, but Ragnvard was voted as captain and did come back to the battle. He is a bit too violent though for her, even though she loves the thrill of battle that doesn’t mean she really likes the thrill of hurting others who clearly are unwilling to fight. She herself doesn’t find a fight fun if the other side isn’t willing or prey. Currently she is more neutral on the issue, not aligning herself with either brother, but her opinion will change depending on how the war/situation develops.
Family Plots: Neutral as of right now, will join a side once the plot is more developed depending on what happens.
Personal plots: She will be very involved with the pride and traveling about outside of it while on raids. Will be willing to help the pride in battles when they need it.
Other: Just need plot updates when they happen if possible please.
