Barter and Haggle
Prompt 2

Can be used toward Solo or RP req

Lately, the local market places have been filled with new traders offering their wares. It seem as if many across the land are trying their hand at selling clothing, weapons, and trinkets. With so many new faces, now is the best time to go to the market and barter for the best prices.

So go ahead and grab your goods or grab your gold and take a shot at bartering.

This prompt can be played from either side: your character can be the merchant, or can be looking to purchase an item. Groups can RP with both characters on the same side, or trying to barter with each other.

Rishima had been on his way back when he caught wind of some merchants that had gathered in Andile, enough of them that it even caught his attention, causing him to be filled with curiosity. If there were gathering merchants maybe he'd be able to purchase some supplies, those that would make for a good meal for Gerraden and himself. When he wasn't going around patrolling for dangers around their home and the village it was located closest to he had started to take up cooking. He'd started out with only the basic skills, those that allowed him to have supplies when it traveled like being able to smoke fish or dry meat, but nothing fancy. He was getting better, find that he especially enjoyed making stews. He would have to see if he could find some fresh vegetables that he could make a stew out of, as well as the ingredients to make some bread?

To make a nice dinner to share with Gerraden, that was something that had Rishima flushing a bit at the thought before he nodded and started forward. Yes, a nice dinner would be welcome, just the two of them, enjoying it together. It was something that sounded a lot more romantic then it should since they often times at together. He shouldn't get so flustered every time he wanted to make something for Gerraden he thought to himself, doing his best to get get his blush under control.

Turning slightly he headed for Andile instead of toward home, deciding that the detour was definitely going to be worth it! He was going to cook something wonderful, especially if one of the merchants had some dry aldabuk or capramel meat for sale. Re-hydrating that into a stew always tasted amazing, especially with the right vegetables and spices tossed into the big cauldron that they had at home. Already he was thinking about exactly what it was that he wanted to make as well as what all he would need to make that perfect stew. Humming to himself he started to go from booth to booth. He found his favorite tubers from one vendor, some sweet carrots and celery from another, then a third from all the of the herbs, spices, and salt that he'd need. From there he headed to the butcher, looking through what the man had to offer.

Today he couldn't help but to stare, looking quite impressed, "You have fresh aldabuk? Wonderful!" This meant that the stew would taste all that much better making the fact that it would cost a little extra worth it.

"Yep, we have started to raise a herd of domesticated aldabuk outside the village so that we can have fresh meat to sell instead of having to bring it all in from Tale." The man explained as he sliced up and wrapped the amount that Rishima had requested, bagging it before handing it over to him. As he did so the man said, "If things go well we are considering bringing in other types of meat as well from other lands. Aldabuk is sort of our group testing out the idea to see how it goes."

Rishima nodded his head slowly, his antennae giving a little bounce, "That is amazing, I hope that things go very well for you because I would definitely come to you for fresh meat in the future." He said, smiling brightly as he tucked the meat into his pack along with everything else that he'd bought to his point before he started onward again. This time he was seeking out the ingredients that he'd need to make bread... at least until he spotted a booth that was selling it premade. He knew that it would cost a bit more to buy the bread already made then it would to buy the ingredients but it would save him some time.

He paused for a moment at the booth, seemingly thinking it over. Did he want to get the bread here or did he want to make it? If he bought the bread already made then he could focus all of his attention on the stew instead of worrying about two things at once. Better that he made a perfect stew then worrying over two things he decided as he reached picked out and purchased one of the medium sized loaves of bread, "My thanks." He said to the women selling the bread before he was on his way once more. He had everything that he needed to make dinner and he was ready to head for home now.

He found himself wondering if Gerraden would be home when he arrived or if he'd be able to get the stew going before he arrived? It would make for a nice surprise if he was able to get home before his young lover, a thought that had him instantly speeding up his steps in hopes of making it back first.
