She had walked this path before. Night after night Talisia took the same path from the city towards her camp. While others in the caravan may have been resting for the evening, the hybrid preferred to explore more. After all who knew how long she had left in Oba? Soon enough she would be on the move again…
It all just depended on the others as well.
Sighing, Talisia tucked a stray strand of hair behind an ear. Here she went again getting lost in her thoughts. A sharp noise to her right startled her and the girl spun on her heels. “Seriously?!” Pointing a figure towards the approaching shape Talisia frowned. “You are not funny, hear me?” But the familiar Xaraan innocently just dug its talons into the ground.
Reaching for her whip, Talisia smirked. “I suppose this means you’re ready for a new round.” Taking a stance the girl suddenly bolted forward after the beast. It wasn’t intending to run away, but rather was having too much fun taunting her. Both the hybrid and the Xaraan kicked up a flurry of desert sand as they raced across the sands.
Once more though Talisia, whether if it was by skill or if the Xaraan was just playing, managed to get ahold of the beast. Her grip firm this time Talisia managed to stay on its back long enough to make it slow down. At this point she didn’t even need a whip, but rather knew where to grab with her own hands…

“Are you quite finished?” Talisia sighed as the Xaraan led them towards the familiar oasis. It was peaceful here, Talisia could give the beast that. She also rather liked how beautiful the evening skies looked from this perspective. Without the bustle of people the area was pristine and calm. It was quite relaxing.
Talisia’s endearment to the place ended, however, as she found herself falling forward. “Oof!” Rubbing her lower back the hybrid glared at the Xaraan, “You really think this is funny?” Once more he had waited for her guard to be lowered and had sent her flying. At this point she had more bruises from dismounting the creature rather than actually fighting it.
Still, as he drank water the girl couldn’t help but to be hopeful. Was tonight finally the night? As she approached him though the Xaraan just glanced at her. “Is it so bad?” Talisia reached out with a treat that was snatched from her hands. Smiling the girl reached out a hand to try and pet the creature’s head, but sudden noises caught both of their attentions.
Another group of Xaraan were racing by and Talisia noticed the look on the creatures face. Oh. “Go then…” Sadly she watched as the Xaraan snapped at the air once more before darting away.
