"I still don't understand you." She murmured, dangling the most recent cat toy she'd bought for Chase's new feline friend over the arm of the couch while mostly draped over the cushion herself. Katrina bobbed the toy, letting the tuft of feathers and ribbon dance through the air. Normally this would have gotten some sort of reaction from any cat. From this cat, though? From Momewrath? Nothing. The young woman huffed, shaking the toy once more before drawing it back, setting the stick down on the coffee table before picking up one of the catnip filled crinkle sacks made for kicking and pawing and tossing. This one was fish shaped. Cats liked fish, right? They also liked catnip. "You're such a weird cat... I don't get it."

Regan was dropping off some invoices for Chase, her arm was finally downgraded from a cast to a small brace, and she could move her fingers with a slight stiffness if she tried really hard. Though the man had given her...the luxury of being able to come over, she chose not to fully take advantage of it yet.
Paul was still out there, and she feared that if he should follow her, Chase would be the one paying the price, more so then her. That was something she didn't want to ever deal with.
But as she came to drop them off in the kitchen, where she was sure he would see it, she passed a cat. He stared at her with normal cat eyes and she froze in place. How long had it been since she had seen a pet cat? She didn't even know that Chase had one! She moved towards it, only to have the cat scurry away and leave her calling after it...alone.
She didn't follow it, dropped the papers and started to head back out, getting turned around and ending up in a living room of sorts with a pink haired young woman.
who was dangling a cat toy.
Regan just stared at her.

Katrina bounced the toy once more before sitting up with a sigh. She would have continued huffing, possibly talking to the cat a bit more, but instead she froze. Someone else was in the house; someone not Chase, nor any of the other misfits that he gathered that she had met personally. Another girl. She leaned back against the couch, crossing her arms over her chest as she met the young woman's stare with one of her own. Who would be the one to break the silence first? Would they just stand there and have a stare off? No. That required more effort than Kat felt like putting forth. Why be cross when you could get more information otherwise. "Any suggestions for making a cat like you? Mome won't let anyone but Chase anywhere near it."

Regan's head tilted a little at Kat's presence, and wondered when did Chase have a girlfriend? Not that it bothered her but for being friends (she almost didn't know what else to call them, they were much more then that) She felt that she didn't really know the mysterious man.
Her stare continued, because she didn't know how to interact with the woman.
Her gaze fell around the room, taking in the various toys and cat n** and things.
"Food?" Regan offered dully, thinking of her time with her cat before Paul had....disposed of it. "Maybe..." She blinked, "Chase has that way with things, doesn't he?" She scooted a bit closer and looked around.
"Where is it?"

"Under the chair, I think." Katrina made a vague gesture in the direction the beautiful, silver tabby had last been seen slinking. Her expression was unimpressed and more than a little bit irritated . "I've tried food-- Dry food, wet food, a mix of the two, people food... Toys. Jingly bell things. Feathers... Nothing." Her nose wrinkled as she uncrossed her arms. "I mean, the cat is obviously eating. The food disappears and Mome obviously isn't starving." Her head shook and she laughed, the sound a bit lighter than the bitter tones that had just been in her voice. "There is a certain charm about him, but I'm definitely just here for the cat." Today, at least. She hadn't been summoned for anything else. The naggingly curious part of her wanted to know more about this girl, though. Was she a member of the Pack? "Name's Katrina--- Kat, usually. You?"

She came to look under the chair.
"I don't-" and then she heard the hissing sound somewhere underneath there.
"come here kitty...."

While Regan's attention shifted to the cat, she let her own focus narrow in on the other young woman. Katrina shifted up, now sitting on the arm of the couch as she watched her. "So... How do you know Chase? Are the two of you...?" She left it open-ended so that Regan could fill in whatever blank she felt applied. Related. Dating. Friends. Was it something that she needed to let Prissy know about?

Regan could still feel the staring, but decided to ignore it in favor of attempting to reach out to the cat. Long white hair tumbled to the ground when she bent down, pulling her knee's to her chest and attempted to coax the creature out with a toy from under the chair.
She was having no such luck.
"Chase is..." She pursued her lips and thought of the man, what was he? The only person she could trust, the only person she could talk to? The only person who understood and accepted her?
"Not sure. He saved me. Not indebted to him or anything." Regan looked over at Kat, "More like I am his?" She just couldn't find the words to really explain how she felt about the man. And certainly not to a stranger like Kat.
"And you? Are you two..?"

"It's..." How could she explain it? It was just as complicated for her to try and put words to how she viewed Chase as it seemed to be for Regan. She could certainly sympathize with the More like I am his? commentary, but she couldn't actually say that without knowing whether or not the young woman was on their side. She wouldn't just out herself and take that risk, especially not if it meant outing her General as well. "I'm just here for the cat. Who hates me. So I guess I could say that I don't know why I'm here..." Katrina shifted on the couch with a sigh before pushing herself up. She made her way across the room to pick up the canister of treats, giving it a light shake in an attempt to draw Mome out as well, having just as much luck as Regan seemed to be having. "Chase has a way with creatures who are lost. People too. He's..." Dangerous. Brilliant. Terrible. Wonderful. "... an absolute whiz on a bike. We met at a race."

"That's a interesting reason to stick around other people." Regan offered before waiting.
"yes he is!" Regan turned her head really quick. "You have a bike?" She might've focused a little to intently on that.

"Mmhm." She nodded before holding the canister of treats out to Regan to see if she'd have any better luck with them. "I was able to save up enough money from a few races to buy my own bike. Had a friend help me make sure it was in good working order-- Haven't been out much lately, though. Kinda too caught up in other things, I guess." She would have to remedy that at some point. How long had it been since she'd gone to a race? The night she'd met Chase, maybe?

"I can take a look at your bike if you want." Regan frowned, "Er, well I am a mechanic. I work on Chase's bike a lot." She wasn't sure if she could use the man as a reference or anything.
"I saw Chase race once." she nodded, "Maybe I could watch you sometime." She had a jacket and helmet to ride with so...like she could go.
She took a treat from the canister and attempted to woo the cat over to her.
"I don't think he wants to come to me either."

"If you're the one who gets his bike going as fast as it does, might not be a bad idea to have you take a look at it." A soft smirk touched the young woman's lips as leaned back on her hands. "He's good-- Really good. Actually makes racing seem like a challenge when he's riding in the same heat." It made things just a little bit more dangerous too and she liked that edge. "I could take you for a ride too sometime, if you'd like. Unless you've got a bike of your own?"
