User Image Rieseln was honestly enjoying herself and her new pride. There were lots of lions to speak with even if some of them snubbed her to due to her rank. She had learned which ones to avoid and which ones to talk with fairly quickly, thanks to both her observation and Ragnvard's suggestions. There were some lions that carried themselves a certain way that she had started to associate with the type that wouldn't want to talk to her, but she had found some Freeborn and even some Reavers that treated her like an equal. That was how she saw herself and that was how Ragnvard treated her, so she kept to those lions and those alone.

She was minding Ragnvard's den when she felt the warning signs of a vision set in. Her joints went a bit weak and she quickly dropped the fur she had been shaking out to lay down so she wouldn't topple over. Her visions were usually a few minutes long and she found if she ignored the precursor to the actual vision, she'd end up toppling over during the dreamlike state.

She closed her eyes and let the vision take her, filling her mind with strange colors and shapes. It was always an adventure to have a vision.

Not sure if there's anything in particular Rag'd like to have a vision about, so it can be random or more plot driven if you'd like! If there's nothing she'll probably just have a vision about her future cubs with him.

Haki had been tasked with keeping an eye on the new thrall, following Rieseln around the pride, making sure she didn't get lost, and that other Captains didn't try and mess with her. Everyone who needed to knew the blue and tan eagle belonged to Ragnvard, and that messing with the bird was tantamount to messing with his Master. So whenever the eagle hovered high above, or perched near the lioness, she was left alone.

Today however, Haki was sat quietly in the corner, perched on the intact horn of an old faded skull, the other having been broke off near the base giving the whole thing a lop-sided appearance. As the lioness lay down, Haki hopped along the horn and then down, onto the ledge below where a shell full of beads sat, half spilled on its rocky shelf. Before he could ask what was happening, she closed her eyes and.... fell asleep. Perplexed it took him a moment or two to realise what was happening. After all, he had never seen someone have a vision before. With a sigh and a hop, he launched himself off the shelf and out the den's entrance, heading off to locate Ragnvard.

Not long later the big Captain stepped back through the entrance, Haki flying in behind only to take up his post on the skull's horn once again. Shaking out his great mane, Ragnvard looked over at where Rieseln lay, his gold eyes intent with focus. This would be the first time he witnessed such a thing as it happened. Much to his annoyance. He beleived seers to be a source of valuable information, and the fact that it had taken so long to find one that wuld serve him exclusivly was like a thorn in his fur. But here she was finally, and he did not intend to miss a moment of what would happen. After all, to best use this new tool he had found, he needed to understand how the visions worked. Moving further into his den he settled out on his mound of furs, content to wait and let this play out naturally. This time anyway.

((She could have a vision about a sith attack the next time he is out on a viking. My sith. The leopard is the one he used to kill his old Captain, the lioness is the Leopard's ex-apprentice and Ran knows the pair work together. The two cheetahs are unknown to him, but are the lioness' apprentices.))

Rieseln was still and quiet for just a few minutes after Ragnvard arrived. Soon her ears twitched and she took a deep breath before lifting her head, her pink eyes squinting a bit as she opened them. She stretched in place before getting to her feet, intent to resume her duties until Ragnvard returned to the den. She was surprised, therefore, when she turned to find the lion laying on the ground not far from where she had been.

"Oh, Ragnvard," she said with a weak smile, tired from her vision. "What good timing. I've just had a vision." She lifted her head a bit, a proud look on her face. She didn't have visions terribly often and she had been due for one for a while now, and she desperately wanted to deliver for her captain. This one was thankfully very relevant as it concerned the dark lion and potential danger that might befall him.

From his perch above the two lions he watched the female keenly. He may not like Ragnvard much, but he tended to try and be open minded about the lions the Captain surrounded himself with. Aoife, for instance, was a very poor thing indeed and Haki desperately wanted to help her some how. This one, though she was also a thrall, was being treated far better than her predecessor. Haki did like the seer, though he didn't know her very well yet. He planned to stick around and keep an eye on her, to make sure Ragnvard didn't mistreat her. Fluffing his feathers he shifted on his perch, listening to their conversation.

As she woke and gathered herself, Ragnvard stayed where he was, content to rest. When she finally spotted and acknowledged him, he arched a brow with a grin. "So I was told." He responded, motioning to the eagle in the corner. "Haki fetched me. Now, what did you see?" He asked, unable to disguise the eagerness in his voice. This was the first true test of a seer, and would give him an indication if his plans for their use would actually be a boon. He had invisioned so many possibilities for his seers, and this was the first step in molding those plans into reality. Rieseln was his first seer, but he didn't plan on her being his last.

Ries glanced up to where Ragnvard had motioned and smiled when she noticed the eagle. She bobbed her head in thanks in Haki's direction. It was nice to have a pair of eyes to watch over her in case she needed help, or even in situations like these.

"Oh, yes," she said, turning her gaze back to the large lion before her, her expression dimming just a bit. Her ears pressed back as well. "I have to say, it's not a very nice vision. You were in the rogue lands with other lions, I'm not sure whom...their faces and pelts were blurred to just simple colors and shapes. But you went away from the group and the whole vision turned dark, as if you were walking through a starless sky. You were joined by four that were not from your group. Three females, one male. The male was a leopard, the other three were two cheetahs and a lioness. I couldn't make out what the females looked like, but the leopard had fiery eyes and a very strange, intricate pelt of red and black."

She paused to close her eyes, summoning the end of the vision once again. They always seemed to peter off the longer she slept after the vision ended.

"The leopard jumped towards you, but you continued to walk as if he weren't there. He landed on you, just as the other three pounced as well. And then...it ends." She opened her eyes, a sorrowful look on her face. "My visions are always silent, scentless...but I felt as though you had roared very loudly right at the end. My chest rumbled but I knew I wasn't growling. I can't say if it was surprise, pain, anger..."

As she looked up, Haki sent the female a nod and ruffled his feathers, his way of acknowledging her. Ragnvard got touchy when he tried to socialise with others, but since he had been specifically told to watch over the lioness, he knew he could address her directly. Still, he was a silent bird by habit and had no real reason to break it just now. Maybe later, when she was alone, they would have a nice chat. But for now he listened to the lady's dream with interest.

As she recited what her vision had uncovered, Ragnvard watched her with interest, still laying on his nest of furs. The description of the leopard instantly brought a frown to his face. "What is he doing there..." He growled in irritation, low and angry, though thankfully not directed at her. The last thing he needed was that cat to start meddling again. He had managed to avoid meeting the red and black Sith leopard since that fateful day, but the blasted creature continued to pop up every now and again. The last time he had seen it, it had been in the company of a black and grey lioness. No doubt some kind of servant or apprentice, if what he had heard about that particular pride was true. He shuddered at the thought. The idea that the leopard now had two new companions was troubling, but not necessary something to worry over. It could mean nothing, after all. But it bothered him...

Turning back to her he frowned. "Anything else? Any idea when this happened, or will happen? What about the landscape? Where will it happen? Was the lioness black and grey?" He needed more information, so he could decide what to do about it. It might be from the past, though the leopard never got close enough to attack him. But if it was a glimpse of the future, he had to be prepared, and maybe even strike first. He could send out his reavers to scout the area towards the distant mountains, the place where he had always spotted the leopard the few times he had come across him at a distance.

Rieseln had known Ragnvard wouldn't like to hear what her vision had been about, but it was important that she had told him. This way he'd be ready for an ambush that was in his future. When, though...that was the question.

"I never have a definite time frame for when they happen, but all my visions have been of things that are going to happen," she said with a nod. There were some Seers that saw things in the past and some that saw things that were happening at that moment. Hers had always been of the future. "The rogue lands," she added, unsure of where exactly it would happen. "There was nothing that stood out to me, no large rock formations or trees. Perhaps that is clue enough, though," she said hopefully. "Some place...open and without much cover. The lioness..."

She closed her eyes to help her remember the vision more clearly.

"Mostly black and grey with some splashes of red....the other two, the cheetahs, are both blue. One a bit darker than the other."

No worries! Did we ever put them in the breeding approval thread?

The bird settled on his perch, knowing his services wouldn't be needed for a while. He shifted, wondering how likely it would be that he would get permission to build a proper nest if he asked. He kind of doubted it but maybe when Ragnvard was in a really good mood... Filling that hought away for later use he simply watched the two lions, wondering about the red and black leopard. He was kind of curious to go find this leopard and maybe become it's bird. But it wasn't a serious thought. Haki was loyal, and while he wouldn't mind Ragnvard getting hurt and maybe learning some humility, the rest of the family didn't deserve that. Sighing he fluffed his feathers and shifted his weight. The horn that was his perch was less than comfortable for long periods of sitting.

Ragnvard listened silently, watching her as she spoke, his mind on the sith leopard. Yes, that sounded exactly like the female he had spotted that time. Though she had been wearing a thick hood of cloth over her head.

Nodding slowly he stood and smiled at her. "Thank you. You did very well. I will keep this vision in mind when we go out Viking. I do know of the leopard that you saw, and his lioness companion. I have seen them on other vikings and I believe Lucivar has had a run-in with the leopard as well." Moving up to her touched her shoulder with his forepaw, a familiar gesture. "You should rest. I am sure seeing the future is tiring. I will go fetch you a meal." He smiled proudly at her.

Ugh, Gaia didn't quote me!! I can't remember though I have a feeling we did, I'll go post them in the new thread anyway.

Ries nodded, glad that Ragnvard would keep her vision in mind. She didn't wish any harm to befall the large lion even though he wasn't the nicest to others in the pride. He treated her well, though, and that was good enough for her.

"Oh, thank you," she said with a little smile, giving his shoulder a little bump with her nose in return. "It is a little exhausting, yes. I'll take a rest and get back to work after I've eaten, though. Can't keep me down and out for too long!"

Tanakako
Last from me! Don't eat the quote this time, Gaia!

Rolling his eyes at Ragnvard's display the eagle huffed and shifted round. He was glad the lion was treating the thrall female well, but Haki had seen far too much to change his opinion on the red Captain. Still, if he cared for Reis properly, that was probably all Haki could hope for. And judging by the way the Captain was happy to go fetch and carry for her, he suspected that she would have no issues with the male. He was just glad the last thrall had finally made her escape. The sights and sounds that he had encountered when Aoife had lived there still haunted him.

Smiling he returned her touch with a cheek rub, letting her know that he was pleased with her. He still had high hopes for her and her visions and this first had proven a great start. "Rest." He said, nodding to his own pile of thick furs. "I'll be right back." With one last grin he slipped out of the den, headed towards the interior of the pride where the communal feed store was located. He could have sent a thrall but he didn't mind fetching it himself, it would give him time to consider what she had seen in her vision. He wasn't overly concerned, no one leopard could really cause him any harm, but there were a myriad of things that such a scenario might allude too, including the leopard gathering an entire gang together in order to attack Ragnvard. Unbeknownst to the Captain, there was indeed a sith plot that revolved around him.
