 "Well today is going to be juuuust peachy." Hailey said to herself as she stepped out onto the Grendel University campus, a frumpy look on her face. Malachi had talked her into -- badgered, really -- into checking the school out and get a better idea of what she wanted to do when they graduated from the academy. As much as she hated to admit it -- to even just herself! -- he had a point. Her interests were very wide-spread, so it was a good idea to try and figure out how to narrow things down. "Then again, there's always triple majoring!" she said to herself with a laugh. The comment would have frazzled her boyfriend had he been there, but since he was back home and buried under piles of homework, it was a sad waste. All the same, she made a mental note to repeat it around him when she got back home.
Her first stop on her tour, or whatever this was, was obviously the office. Grabbing a map, hearing the prepared spiel, all that sort of thing. When she was asked if she wanted someone to show her around, she shook her head with a smirk. "Nah. I'm a 'learn it by getting myself lost' sort. Thanks but nope!" And with that, she adjusted her backpack straps -- to which her favorite plushie that was given to her by an old friend was temp sewed too -- and headed on out. She was mostly interested in getting some food for the moment since she had to rush out of the dorm to make it on time this morning. Taking a look at the map in her hands, she pinpointed a couple food spots on campus and decided to head to one that sounded more cafe-esque. Coffee and sweets were much needed right now.

 Azure was sitting in his dorm room tuning his gem powered guitar, it was much better than the ones powered by cords and strings, and it had a connection to the sound systems powered by the same gem type, which he only used to his benefit when he was performing on stage or at class. He strummed the scale "do-re-mi-fa-sol-la-ti-do" on his guitar strings slowly as he tightened the strings, he sang the scale to make sure he got it right. He had a gig at a party that night, he soon made mental notes of what he would need an when he would need to be there. As he stared out of his window and played a simple melody of a song he frequently played when alone.
After a moment he became board in his solitude and packed up his guitar to take with him. He wasn't quite sure what he wanted to do yet on his free time but would keep an eye out for his band members so he could make sure that they were ready for tonight's gig. he didn't want to leave his guitar behind because he wanted to leave fast as possible so if he wondered to far, he would not have to run all the way back to the dorm room to get it.
as he made his way out he checked the time, looking up at the sky he then headed for a cafe, with his stuff packed his instrument case on his back ad now fully change, he was wearing his favorite vest with a nautical star on the front right of his vest. He fixed his sleeves and tie as he headed out to the cafe. when he went in to the cafe. He ordered a coffee, no sugar, lots of milk and a matcha muffin, it was a weird combination to have together but he enjoyed the flavor of both together. " A tea muffin and coffee together?" some had asked him in the past when meeting him for the first time, But he smirked at the thought and found a place outside of the cafe to sit and enjoy his food and coffee. he strummed on his guitar occasionally practicing one of the songs he was going to play tonight.

Needless to say, even with map in hand, it took quite some time for Hailey to find her way to the campus cafe. This was certainly something she decided she would not be mentioning to Malachi when she went back home. "You should have just gotten the tour" she said in a mocking tone as she could just hear him saying that to her. "Pfffbt. Tour. Who needs a tour. It's more fun to explore anyways."
Adjusting the straps on her backpack once again, something that was becoming an unconscious habit at this point, she finally made her way to the entrance of the cafe. Her attention did turn to the guy sitting outside and playing his guitar. She smirked, amused as she recognized the tone, and even began humming along as she stepped into line to place her order.
Several customers later, and a spillage to boot, the geist stepped back outside with her ridiculously over-priced -- so she thought -- cup of coffee and a bag of just about every sweet thing she could see in the place. She could still hear the sounds to the guitar playing, and with a smirk on her face, she wandered over to the guy. "You know, I'm not sure the school cares much for musicians looking for handouts. Who knows what you'd buy with the money." There was a big grin on her face as she teased the stranger, but after a few moments, there was something she deemed familiar about the guy. But why?

Azures eyes were closed as he strummed away at the guitar, he was playing his favorite song, but he soon heard some one humming the song, when he looked up he saw no one near him. He shrugged it off and continued to play, only to occasionally stop to take a bite of his muffin. at one point he was about to stop when he heard a voice mock him.
His eyes opened as he looked up at her but continued to play the song. " My tuition and book fees,perhaps. bills don't pay them selves you know." He had answered her obvious playful taunt as he watched her curiously. he looked to the familiar face but her eyes drew his attention more as he had met a child long ago with the same eyes before beginning his life as a university student . " whats your name." he asked as he slowed the playing of his guitar stopping to take a sip of his coffee.

Hailey couldn't help the smirk on her face when his eyes opened to look at her. Of course his on point retort only made the grin grow. He didn't miss a beat and she found that to be pretty impressive. "I guess so. Well in that case, here you go, hobo." With a snicker, the geist plunked her changed on the table in front of him. "I don't gotta worry about that s**t just yet, so enjoy."
Snickering, Hailey set her cup and bag down on his table for a moment so she could adjust the straps of her backpack once again. As she tried, she noticed the little plush she had attached to it was all messed up, so with a gripe and some quietly uttered curses, she took the backpack off and plopped it on his table too. "Sorry. Borrowing your table, hobo... but not really sorry." Smirking, she fussed with the plushie until it was where she wanted it to be. "There! Stay put silly thing." And with a satisfied look, Hailey took up her backpack once again, and snitched up her coffee and bag of sweets. "Good luck with tuition and stuff, hobo!" She gave a sassy salute and turned about to wander the grounds.

He found her repetitive taunts amusing, as she called him a hobo repeatedly, he listened to her and practiced another song on his guitar hitting every note on cue, like he was suppose to. When he looked up to see her put the change down in front of him he smirked at her. " I guess that makes you the hobo now if you give me all your change. I'm sure that is all you brought with you, so that makes me richer than you now kiddo." he teased, as he went to remark once more before he froze and gazed at the jackalope stuffed animal.
He recognized it all to well, as he had made that plushie him self. It was one of very few he made on valentines day to give to fleshlings and a junior girl ." Hailey?" he questioned. as thoughts went threw his head at that very moment, it couldn't be her could it? the same young geist he met that day. her hair was much longer but almost every other feature was exact, He got up quickly as his wings opened and blocked her path." Its kinda hard to believe its you, then again, you still have that amusing snappy personality kid." He said with a pleased smirk, as he gently grabbed the loop of the straps now sewn to the plushie. "looks like you have made a few adjustments to it though" he laughed once more as he looked at her with a warm smile on his face but the same distant eyes he had always had.

Hailey found herself slightly irritated as her taunting was brought right back around. She wasn't quite used to her teasing to be returned to her like that. But just as easily as easily as she was annoyed by it, the geist grew amused. "Well I guess it's lucky for me to still be in the system, then! I won't have to really worry about being a broke bum like you until I'm outa Asphodel!" She smirked his way, then brushed aside some hair that fell in her face with a touch of sass -- as everything she did.
After getting her stuff and ready to venture, she froze the moment she heard her name being called. Of course, his blocking her path certainly stopped the girl in her tracks as well. Cocking her head to the side, she beamed a big smile his way. "Azzi?! I thought that unruly mop-top looked familiar!" Though she couldn't help swatting at his hands as he gave a tug to her plush and backpack combo. "Hey hey hey! Hands off! You may have created that, but it's my little monster, you bum!"
Laughing, she threw her arms around him and gave the biggest hug to anyone she'd ever given, Malachi aside. Of course that was a completely random thing and she instantly pulled back, letting out a nervous laugh. "I haven't seen you in forever!" She reached up, smacking his shoulder with a big pout on her face. "You being a cafe beggar now the reason for you not coming around anymore?" finishing that off by crossing her arms. She hadn't had many others in her life she felt comfortable with. He was one of the few and she had missed his stupid butt!

Azure warmly smiled at her as he heard her call him a mop top, he fiddled with his hair and messed up the bangs just a bit more. " Hey, i like my hair you know. I'am not a mop compared to yours, with it dragging on the floor." he teased.
As he soon felt the young geist arms wrap around him, he hugged her back firmly,only to feel her quickly tear her self away. " You may own it, but you sure did butchered the poor thing didn't you?, Want me to fix the straps For ya?" he offered seeing the straps gave her an issue. but he then paused when she mentioned him not being around for her, he felt bad. He did in fact vanish from her life, But it was out of his control.
with trying to get in to classes at the university he got absorbed by his natural loner life style and a mystery letter he had received on valentines day. " Well kid ..." he paused for a moment as he then looked to her.
"I'm sorry, but things got crazy, but I'll make it up to you, how about I buy you some sweets?" he knew she enjoyed sweets unlike him. " Maybe we can stop and chat for a bit? what are you doing here anyways. Are you planning to go to the university, Or just looking around?" He wondered, as it was just about that time that she would take that path in life.

"Tch" Hailey said as she had pulled away from him, but still all grins as she tossed her hair back and forth... no doubt hitting an innocent bystander or two while doing so."You're just jealous of these luscious locks while you're stuck with that mess on top your head!" It wasn't often that she got to enjoy banter like this, even if Malachi was slowly warming up to it and attempting.
The geist's hand smacked at the fallen's as he touched her backpack, puffing her cheeks up at him."I did not butcher it! I made it a prized possession that I can have with me when I got out. Buuuut... If you can't handle the honor of your gift to me being as such, perhaps I should just not use it anymore." She pursed her lips in a sassy look at him, though she couldn't help contemplating his offer. "Maybe. I mean... I am getting better at sewing, so I can prolly fix it myself, now, thank you very much!"
Even though every word she said oozed sass, she was happy and excited to be talking with Azzi again. Though she had been hurt by his disappearance. The only constant in her life was Malachi. She had never been wanted for adoption, or had many friends -- though the two she had made as a freshling she held dear to her heart even when they didn't talk. And there was him. Crossing her arms, she actually turns her back to him with a huff. "I have sweets, thank you very much. And even though I love sweets, I don't think they make up for causing me abandonment issues!" Azure's questions reached her ears, but she just didn't feel like answering them just yet. She was actually trying to keep from crying. Something that she'd only experienced a few times in life so far.

He laughed in amusement as she swung her hair about. " Me... jealous of that hair? I'am actually grateful my hair is short, I cant image how long that would take to brush every night." He said as he felt his hand get smacked again, he smirked and playfully but carefully tugged it one more time while she wasn't looking, And then he pretended it was not him. He enjoyed picking on her a much as she enjoyed picking on him, but he felt flattered when she said it was her prized possession. He didn't think anything he could make could ever mean that much to someone. He playfully stuck his tong out at her as he was coming out of his shell while she talked to him, he snickered slightly.
" Aw come on, you can just take more back with you, because I'm sure those will be all gone by the time you get Home." He said playfully poking the air out of her cheeks as he smiled at her. he soon looked away to look at the time, as he did he looked back to her only to see she was turned away from him. " Hailey?... you alright kiddo?" he asked as he put his hand on her shoulder and turned her to face him only too see she was fighting back her tears. "Hey. its alright. I'am sorry..." he wasn't sure what to say or do as he had not ever faced this kind of situation before. He just brought her in close with his wings and hugged her close." Hey come on no crying, I wont ever leave you alone again ok?" he said feeling bad once more but he tried to reassure her that she wouldn't be alone.
