Seeing Rosi outside Ashdown Medical Practise was rare but not unheard of.

Despite the rumours and conspiracies she was infact human, with human needs that meant she occasionally had to venture into town. So her lab coat had been replaced with a long trench and long striped scarf, the blonde almost blended in seamlessly with the pedestrians, or at least she would if it was not for the surgical mask that covered most of her face. She had not fallen to the epidemic yet and had no plans to get ill. Whenever someone sneezed near her she crossed the street, even if it meant going out of her way.

The blonde had picked up her groceries and was on the loop back home, she did not have a car so picking up shopping usually took her the entire day - setting off at dawn and returning in time to see the sun set.

On the way home she always passed Bibliophile and every week she would come in and exchange one of her books; reading distracted her when the pharmacy floor was quiet, however the recent flu epidemic had made those times few and far between. She almost had not managed to finish this week, but a late night meant that she was ready to trade in.

She opened the door and wandered towards the book exchange, pale eyes scanning the establishment for signs of life.

A few people sat in the front seated area of the bookstore. A few had coffees from the cafe down the block but food and drinks were banned back near the shelves. Most had laptops or phones and were simply seeking peace and quiet along with the free wi-fi.

Algie had on occasion needed to go to Rosi's practice and she was no stranger here either. He'd had a cold shortly after arriving here more a bit more than a year ago, and since then he was good to need antacids and the occasional sleep aid (or nicotine patch).

The man himself sat on a stool behind the counter, heels hooked on the lower rung and leaning studiously over a small notebook he was scribbling in. At the sound of the bell Algie looked up over his glasses with very green eyes, he was all eyes his mother used to say, before sitting up and pushing his glasses up properly.

"Afternoon, can I help you with anything?" He had an oh so professional voice, his business tone only slightly more formal than his usual accent. It was only then he realized that he may have just invited a conversation with her... Damn his manners.

Rosi did not paused when he addressed her, instead she put down her book on the shelf and picked another one up. She flicked to the back, ran her pale eyes over the blurb and then placed it in the bag that hung from her side. She took her reading very seriously and the ritual of the passover was not to be disturbed.

Then and only then did she look over at the man at the counter, a large, almost menacing smile grew on her face but was hidden under her mask. "I'm fine, thanks." Her words were muffled and on realising so she pulled the piece of fabric down over her chin with a small pout. The smell of paper and coffee filled her nostrils and she took a deep breathe in to savour it.

She recognised the man from the shop; but he was far from one of her regulars. Not like Jeremiah or Alesky.

The blonde then walked over to the counter, placing her grocerries by her feet and leaning over somewhat, eyes fixed on the book he was scribbling in just moments before. Her curiosity had gotten the better of her. "Inspiration struck? Is that your latest work?" Once upon a time she had heard that the guy who ran the shop was an author and some of his work had been made into a television series, she wondered if it was true.

It was hardly offensive for a customer to simply brisk by so while she visited the swap, he turned back to his notebook. When her shadow dropped across Algie again, his pen was set down and the notebook turned shut. It was a bit of a pet peeve to have people peering into what he was writing.

"Mm? Something like that." Algie had a polite smile but his hand remained rested on the notebooks cover possessively, "There's inspiration everyone if you look for it."

In an attempt to derail interest from his writing he nodded towards her bag, "Pick up anything interesting?"

"I would not know." Rosi shrugged, she was not one of those creative types. She was pretty sure the closest she ever came to inspiration was that one time she took LSD. Man, that was a fun night.

She looked towards her bag and smiled, it was nothing special, just another smutty romance - same as usual. Though this one series seemed to have her hooked, one thing she liked more than a bad love story was one that involved murder most foul. "Another Sylvia Day book. Something to get me through the next week at work. I really hate flu season." Then again, Rosi hated sick people full stop.

"Have you been for your shot yet?"

"Ah-" Algie nodded and chuckled. He may have been guilty of reading some Sylvia Day. If only because they were asked for (and pre-ordered) fairly often. He always felt a need to know what the big deal was about.

"Shot?" It didn't sink in immediately, and the repercussions of his admittance even slower, "No I don't think so. But I'm rather hearty.. I'm sure I'll be fine."

Crap crap.

And then there was a tickle in his nose, not so odd with the books and dust, and he reared for a sneeze at the worst possible moment. Algie tried to turn his face into his elbow as he loudly, "huuugh'CHOO" into his sweater.

Rosi moved at super human speed. One second she was stood infront of the desk and the next she was at the other end of the floor by the bookshelves. She had forsaken her bags at the desk and somewhere along the way she had thrown off her coat. All of a sudden her mask was back on her face and blue eyes looked at him in panic. He had sneezed on her.

He had infected her. The blonde went pale at the thought. "Clearly." She grumbled; her mask muffled her tone, however her flustered expression could be read in her eyes.

"I am going to book you in for tomorrow. You need to watch your health, things are only downhill after you turn twenty five."

Algie had never seen someone move so fast, never rear away from him in horror at such supernatural speeds, "Pardon me- it's... just allergies."

He pulled a tissue from a box by the register, dabbed his nose and mouth a moment, and wriggled his nose, "Just the dust! It's fine!"

He waved the tissue, "See? Besides.." It was dropped in the bin, with a huff and a look over the top of his glasses, "I am well aware of the crumbling of my body without reminders, thank you. I'll be fine without a shot."
