The disappointment she felt at what had been going on, as well as not being able to bring home a familiar for either of her daughters, had her a bit in the slumps. When V'demhe was like this she tended to be absent minded. This time she was in such a state while she was walking through Oba on her way back to Matori. Not such a good thing to do, especially when one doesn't know the area well and it was a lesson she was going to learn.

The sound of a roar caught her attention and she looked to the left then to the right trying to find out what made the sound. Sadly the origin was behind her so the large Amazon didn't see the beast when it charged at her. Dem did hear it, though, so she had some time to twist to the side. Being taken off guard as she was V'demhe took a horn across the back. "Argh! I've got to stop hurting that!" She shouted angrily. There was already a scar on her back from previous encounters with dangerous objects and she didn't fancy the idea of adding to it.

When the beast came round and looked as though it was going to charge again she shook her head. "Oh no. I already messed with one big creature today and was let down." With a huff she blew some dreads away from her face then took off in a sprint to get away from the creature that seemed to want to break some of her bones. Maybe later she would actually take the time to fight with this one. For now, she'd focus on getting to the border.
