User Image It had been months now since the betrayal and the retrieval of his family. Marie had been returned safely along with Trevor and a new addition to the family. One who had been scarred deeply by the encounter. Gabriel at first accepted the young cub because he seemed so dear to Marie. As time went on the young one, Victor, had become as dear to Gabriel as his own spirit and blood. He considers him just as much his own as Trevor or Alucard. In fact, any castle hand could swear they see Gabriel with Victor the most. Often Gabriel would bring Victor with him as he walked the halls and even when he walked among the town. However, when outside the castle walls Gabe would instruct his son to stay very close. Within fur contact.

Today was one such day. Gabriel had allowed Victor to skip his nap time and had allowed the young cub to accompany him throughout the caste. A trek through the castle had quickly become an adventure into the city.

Gabriel remained on high alert as they passed the iron gates to the castle. His hears perked forward while his wings remained slightly unfurled and ready to defend Victor should the need arise. He steps were slow enough so Victor's own tiny gait could keep up without any troubles of being left behind.

He need not say "stay close", he knew the young cub was well aware of that rule.

The young Belmont fallowed swiftly behind and at the side of his large father's hind paws. Though his father, Gabriel had been mindful to keep a slow pace for the cub, little large paws popped and hopped in a walking jog to keep up with him. He didn't want to keep his father's strides so little that he had to stop, he didn't want his dad to feel like he had to change his way of walking for him too badly. He wanted to be Strong for his Father, that way in his cub little mind figured he could stay useful and could keep fallowing his daddy on these special 'missions'. The scared little cub may have been a bit hefty, his round little tummy couldn't stand go a stride without wobbling to-and-fro, and perhaps couldn't see very well-but he was determined to not be a bother and remain wanted. Even if his father and mother didn't ever suggest such a thing even being possible. Victor was determined the thought wouldn't even cross their mind though any of the actions of his own. It was strange how cub's mind would act such a way, and think of such things when given no inclination to such a thing....

Victor remained quiet, and at fur touching side his one good eye remained closed as he couldn't see in the dark very well as it was. So, the cub focused on things that could help in the dark and in such lighting. Things like his ears and his paw steps with his little claws peaking out. The soft tap helped his ears in figuring out where things might be at, it was something that Uncle Ticky had helped him thought of. It had to do with weird invisible waves and them bouncing against other things that only ears could hear. Victor didn't really know what it was, or how to explain it-and he was still getting use to it. However, he was determined to be able to see like His Father in the dark, and it was the closet way possible he could. Though his little bobble of a walk, with closed eye would cause him every so often to bump just slightly against his father's hind paw. Though he didn't seem to mind, or even notice. If he did it wasn't fully mentioned...It was something Victor was working on, he wanted to walk as poised as his daddy too. Ears remained perked and ever twisting to pick up every little sound in the darkness around him. Little white tail 'c'ed and curled behind him to help keep his balance in his wobbled trot.

Lady Marie and one of the cubs had been found finally. A long exhausting search by many. However the young alucard was still missing and as such Midna had continued to search every night as she had since the incident in hopes of finding a lead from anyone she could. Ever since she'd found Gabriel seemed to be in a better mood, along with her however, was a young light cub who's horn had been broken. Gabe and marie had both quickly adopted the cub and it had brought them even more happiness despite the looming ladness of still having lost one of their sons.

At least from what she'd seen. She'd felt so foolishly ashamed and betrayed by Camilla constantly wondering how she could make it up to the Lord. Gabriel stopped trusting almost everyone. If only Midna had been allowed to tear out her throat. That would have made her feel better.

She had been passing trying to gather her thoughts only to see Gabriel with the young adopted Victor. Gabriel seemed to favor the child almost. You'd never be able to tell Victor was adopted he looked just like the family which had taken him in. Midna was surprised actually Gabriel had brought the child out from the castle.

"Lord, and the little lord" she greeted them both in her usual way. she'd left Marrok with Isra at her home.

Gabriel quickly concealed Viktor with a wing. His head remained held high as the approached B'alam gave her greeting. Cold eyes narrowed on her. Though he had seen Midna approach, recognized her as the B'alam she found outside of the cave, the past events had left him untrusting of anyone. Zobek had been his trusted as well, and that unconditional trust had nearly cost him his family.

"Lady Midna." Gabriel spoke with his normal chilled tone.

His gaze remained unwavering from her, every movement she made did not go unnoticed by the Dark Magus.

"What business have you with me?"

His wing he kept lowered so that his son was shielded from the other.

Victor's ears twisted and turned as he kept a sharp hear-out of the dark world around him. His head shifted to a slight tilt as he felt he nearing spirit of a Nahtlil. Victor's oversize cub paws slowed in his trot as he prepared for what he knew his father was going to do. Stop. He knew his father's gate would slow to a stop, and he would pause. Victor knew not to pass him, that was not allowed. One, it wasn't proper, but mostly Father said it wasn't safe. He had to be with in fur touch at all times when walking outside the gate with him.

Dark nose turned to the air as he sniffed about the air, hoping to take in a familiar scent as his father's leathery wing lowered in front of him. His light tribe eyes were weak in the dark, so he had to relay on other sense. White tail shifted about behind him, as his ears remained poised.
His scruffy maw wanted to open and meekly ask his father what was going on, but he knew it wasn't the right time to do so. The cub didn't bother in trying to so, he knew it was futile in the darkness. So, his ears remained fixed forward, and his paws light.

"I wished to make sure you and yours were doing as well as can be." she answered sincerely. Though it was not everything The Lady and one of his sons were found. though he was still probably holding on to the fact his other son was missing yet. Midna was ashamed she still couldn't find him. Minda herself made no moves as Gabe's heavy gaze rested on her, she wasn't going to do anything she never would but.. his trust had been shattered that day so she understood his scrutiny.

Midna noticed the cub not leaving his father's side and gabe put his wing in front of the cub. Good, "You've taught your son well not to leave you side It's safer that way." she didn't want to see such a tragedy happen again. She's only wanted to check on her lord, Gabriel was the one who brought her to the city after all recommended her for the library and helped her get settled. Minda considered him a friend, so when betrayal came from so close in the form of Camilla she had become enraged. Camilla was a dark triber how could she have wanted to tear up the Lord's family?

her wings stayed at her side as she gave a bow in the form of her usual head tilt. "I will be off then, as I see you have more pressing matters with your Son." she spoke gently.

Gabriel remained unmoved and unchanged in his demeanor, even at Midna's well wish. It more or less seemed like a waste of time to tell him things he clearly knew, and even more so to simply leave without any real purpose for stopping him. The time he had with his son was far more important than hollow conversation. As for Viktor, Gabriel need not look down at the young cub hidden safely behind his wing. The cub knew to stay close.

"In the future, do not waste my time again." Gabriel warned. His cold gaze remained on her while he waited for her to depart first.

Viktor's ears perked and widened as he heard the Nahtlil's words. Of course he was a good listener of his father, he wanted to remain safe, and his father knew what was best as well how to remain in such a way. Even if his rules...his laws where strict, there was reason for it. Just as she stated it was better that way....

As Father's voice and words warned the Nahtlil harshly, Viktor's widened ears docked and he tried his best to not try and make himself smaller. No, even if it was intimidating, he would not coward away especially since it was his father. The warning for the other, and not him. Still...the power that his dad radiated cause his little thick legs to tremble slightly. He hated it, but even more as he tried to stiffen to stop it, it became more apparent. Little worn and cracked claws dug into the ground as his curse his own weak body. His white little teeth clinched together as the complicated thoughts of a cub, hopped his father did notice...

but of course, he knew that his father would....

Lord Gabriel noticed everything...

Midna nodded, she'd expected this. The lords relationship with many had been much worse ever since. She had sought to repair theirs in the very least but that wouldn't be any time soon. He seldom even trusted most of the guards. Midna didn't flinch though the lords words struck within. She had been expecting it; and had seen his ferocity during the day of betrayal. It was no less intimidating though she hid it. Midna knew it was better if she just did as he said. Though she hatdly had any idea on how to win his trust once again. She had to take care os isra now, strange as it was the other nan didn't want to leave. Midna had tried to set isra upnwith her own loggings. Midna glanced at the tah cub. The child was frightened. Midna gave a light sigh this was going to.get her reprimanded certainly. Midna turned back to face gabriel she gave him another bow bofore rising.

"Lord, with respect; Perhaps you should avoid that tone around your son, you frightened him." She simply pointed out in her regal manner. "I'm sure you noticed lord, he is adamantly trying to hide that fact." She prepared herself for the inevitable punishment and She would accept it. Though it may unfortunately cause the child to fear once more. Gabriel seldom listened to any but his wife.

Gabriel's eyes narrowed down on the Nan. Though his posture remained unmoved the intimidating statue radiated with the anger that could strike others through the heart. He had a knack for keeping his cool despite the anger that boiled within. This new member would dare speak in such a manor? How self-serving. It was in her favor that the cub was present... or else the verbal lashing would not have been the only lashing that would have taken place.

"The matters of my family, my cubs, are of none of your concern. There is no respect in undermining a leader's, much more a father's observation. My son knows I will not harm him, however, you can certainly not relate to that comfort."

He tilted his nose up.

"Now, be gone from my sight."

Viktor Remained silent a close to his father's side, cream colored ears remained eagerly perked forward. Sharp little claws remained firmly grasped in the ground. Taking in a slow breath the cub puffed his chest a bit more, as if to prove he wasn't scared. His body just couldn't help but react under the awesome power that was his father and the authoritative tone he always held.

White tail shifted a little and raised behind him and scruffy little maw tightened. He would be brave and strong like his father.

As Viktor was spoken about, he made a little nod in the darkness to his father's words. The broken horn on his scared brow glinted a little with what little slight there was around them. That was right. He knew his dad wouldn't hurt him-but the respect he had for him caused his body to quake slightly.....Which had been picked up by his servant, Minda. Hiding such a thing would have to be worked on. He would be strong one day....

Just like his father.

It would do him well at some point for someone to tell him when he was too much but he never did take it well. Midna calmed herself of the irritant. She was certainly close to being thrashed by the lord. Perhaps now would be the best time to return to her work. "Of course It is as you say, I offer my apologies for the disrespect I have shown you." She gave him a respectful bow, though she only sought to help it had been rather counter productive. she wondered if there was anything she could do to fix their relationship. "As you wish lord, I wish you well." She had considered herself friend, seems it had only been her to consider this.

The nan turned and began to leave.
