 Today was a very exciting day for the grimm as he gathered up his old, and worn in baseball gear, as well as gathering up pint-sized new gear for his daughter. He was looking forward to today since he had gotten the news that he was going to be getting a her via adoption! If there was one thing he wanted most for a while now, it was to be a dad. There was wishing, hoping, praying, and it finally all came true. She was certainly a good bit mellow compared to him, but they seemed to click in a strange way.
"Alright! I got everything all together~" he shouted across the apartment to Kismet while zipping up the duffle full of baseball gear. Tossing the strap over his shoulder, Dodger tucked the bag against his side and walked down the hall to Kismet's room, peeking in throw the open door. "Y'ready, kiddo?~"

 The pint-sized grimm was in her new room as she was getting ready for an outing with her new dad. Though calling him dad was a bit weird to her for some reason. It wasn't like she had had parents before, but maybe that was why? She had always been terribly independent. All the same, she liked him. He was really nice and made her smile, so you couldn't go wrong with having someone like that in your life, huh?
Kismet looked at herself in the mirror that hung from her closet door, and couldn't decide if she was a fan of the new baseball apparel. It wasn't terrible, but it sure wasn't her normal style. Her focus broke from her clothing to the man poking his nose through her door, and she gave a small smile. "Yup. But I'm not sure about this get-up. Feels weird." She fussed with the hem of the shirt for a few moments before turning around to model it for him. "Do I look okay? It's not awkward, is it? I've never really worn a sports uniform..."

Dodger couldn't help the big grin on his face when Kismet modeled off the uniform. "I think you look great, kiddo! Though you might want to get that hair out of your face, huh?" He didn't know the first thing about how to handle girl's hair, let alone all that hair his daughter was rockin'. He was going to have to find someone who knew how to deal with hair and help him learn at least some things that he could do. It's what a dad would do, right? Help his little girl with her hair? He laughed a little as she sighed, the little stream of air blowing up her bangs in part.
"Do... you need some help?" The duffle bag was set down in the hall as he debated stepping in her room for a moment. Was it weird? Was he being a smother? -- because he didn't know what the dad version of that would be. He had looked forward to being a dad so much!, but now that he was, he realized that he had so much to learn about it. It would be a process for both of them. That was for sure!
