Beta and Delta pair are selected specifically by the Alpha Pair, they don't need to be mated to one another, but their mates don't have any special privileges as of yet.xxxxx● Ranks with a Moon [ ☾ ] beside them will have an RP requirement in order to keep their Rank, as they play an important role within the Pack and any Metaplot Events that arise in the future.xxxxx● Lead ranks can be challenged IC or OOC [ if the Varsythe's user becomes inactive or leaves ]. If In Character, the Rank Challenge must be played out through dice. If Out of Character, then if there were someone who was interested in the rank and is active, then that Rank may be given to them. His word is law, and there will be harsh reprimands if one fails to comply with the Pack rules. The Alpha holds council with the Beta Pair as well as his mate if there's a decision that must be made that could influence the Pack in a major way.xxxxx● Alphas usually set their Pack's territory, delegate who does what within the Ranks, and are the very first to draw blood in battles or challenges.xxxxx● He bestows Classes to his Packmates, usually with the counsel of the Alpha Female or Beta Male. But to be chosen for a respected position by him is a true honor.xxxxx● The Alpha must be strong, wise, and clever, and the health and safety of his Pack rests squarely on him: a responsibility he carriers solemnly.xxxxxxxxAlpha Female:: xxxxx● There is only ONE Alpha Female per Pack.xxxxx● She is second in command and when the Alpha Male is not around. With the help of council from the Beta Pair, she's allowed to make decisions for the Pack in his absence. She rules the pack along side the Alpha, and her word is law when the Alpha is away.xxxxx● The Alpha female can decide when and where to hunt, who takes care of the Pups, and delegates who hunts and forages. Alpha Females are considered wise and patient for the most part, as they more often than not are the ones to temper the Alpha's aggression.xxxxx● If the Alpha Male is killed or otherwise unable to continue as Alpha, the Beta Male generally moves up to the position of Alpha and will take the position if the other males are unable to prove themselves more worthy of the position. HOWEVER, the Alpha Female IS allowed to challenge the Beta. If she wins, SHE is allowed to pick the next Alpha Male.
xx☽ ʙᴇᴛᴀ ᴘᴀɪʀ ☾ xxxxxxxxBeta Male:: xxxxx● The Beta Male is the right hand to the Alpha Male, and is his most trusted adviser, next to his mate.xxxxx● The Beta steps up when the Alpha isn't around. If something fatal is to happen to the Alpha Male, he rises to the Alpha status.xxxxx● Other males in the pack are allowed to contest him for the position if they feel he cannot fulfill the duty. If, however, the others are unable to prove themselves better fit to lead, the Beta Male permanently becomes the Alpha Male and elects a new male to replace him.xxxxx● If this happens, the remaining Alpha Female is allowed to either continue on in her position with the new Alpha, or drop down to Beta status.xxxxxxxxBeta Female:: xxxxx● The Beta female is the right hand to the Alpha Female and is her trusted adviser next to her mate. She steps up when the Alpha Female isn't around.xxxxx● As the Alpha's right hand, she is chosen by the Alpha Female for a reason and is trusted to oversee the daily happenings of the Pack.xxxxx● The Beta is responsible for knowing the causes of strife, tension, or hurt within the Pack, and speaks directly to one of the Alphas concerning the overall well-being . xxxxx● When the pups reach adulthood, the Beta Female takes over the training from the Sentinel. She is responsible for teaching them to become successful and beneficial members of the Pack. xxxxx● She advises the Alpha Pair so they can better determine which pups would be best for which Class, as she is able to see the Pup's skills first-hand. xxᴅᴇʟᴛᴀ xxxxxxxxDelta Male / Female:: xxxxx● The Delta is the standard position most Varsythe hold within a pack, although the Deltas have ranks unto themselves.They are almost always submissive towards the Varsythe of upper rank, though can they can challenge the Alpha or Beta if they feel the need.xxxxx● They represent the middle class and in most cases, the Deltas are heavily relied upon in both fighting and hunting.xxxxx● The Delta is apt at being a messenger, usually taking on a Scout or Messenger class within the Pack. xx☽ ᴏᴍᴇɢᴀ ☾ xxxxxxxxOmega Male / Female:: xxxxx● The Omegas are the lowest rank within the pack. xxxxx● He is the one to feed last and if the Alpha demands it, he will not feed at all. Other members of the pack will often bully them, but the Omega does play an important role in the pack. xxxxx● The Omega is absolutely essential to a Pack, as they are also expert at relieving tension through humor; they often have a goofy side, or will bound off for a bone or stick for the Pack to play with in the middle of a dispute. They help the pack vent off conflicts without acts of war. xxxxx● Because of this, the Omega must be strong at heart, and must know that his or her position is one of the few things that maintains the Pack Order. Packs that lose their Omegas stop hunting for a time, and begin mourning them. xxxxx● Within the pack, Omegas can fight their way up the ladder, but their status is earned only by defeating their opponents on multiple occasions until their dominance is recognized. xx☽ ɢᴀᴍᴍᴀ ☾ xxxxxxxxGamma Male / Female:: xxxxx● The Gamma are the wisest of the Pack, and usually older than the majority of the Varsythe. xxxxx● Through their stories, platitudes, and their praises, they pass on not only wisdom, but patience and faith to the others within the Pack.xxxxx● The Gamma most oftentimes is a retired Alpha; a Varsythe who wishes to only pass on his or her knowledge to future generations. xxxxx● Those who hold this position are deeply respected and honored by the rest of the Pack, and are fiercely protected should they face danger.xxxxx● If a Varsythe turns on a Gamma within its own Pack, they are almost always permanently maimed or put down.xxxxx ☽ тнє нёaят оf тнё Pacк шїll мєиd ☾

So the majority of these Classes need to be Roleplayed in order to fulfill their duties. Again, a paragraph is 3 - 5 sentences. xx☽ ʜᴇʀᴀʟᴅ ☾ xxxxxxxx 1 Varsythe xxxxx● The Herald is the leader of the Pack, and only one Alpha may take this position.xxxxx● Heralds set their Pack's territory, and they decide when to hunt, when to range, when to fight or flee, and when to sleep: they govern their Pack entirely.xxxxx● Heralds listen carefully to the counsel of their Trackers, Guardians, and Sentinels, and they rely heavily on the information brought to them by their Operatives to make decisions.xxxxx● The Herald's first duty is to his or her Pack; they rarely have time to pursue their own wants or dreams, and they take the duty of being the Pack's commander solemnly.xxxxx● If their Pack is ever threatened or in danger, they will stop at nothing to protect them, no matter the cost.×x RE Q U I R E D _ P O S T Sx×x x x x● Only Alpha males and females may be Heralds.x x x x● 1O posts / Memoir Entries per month. xx sᴏʟɪᴛᴀʀʏ xxxxxxxxPackless Varsythe xxxxx● These Varsythe have either been abandoned, left their Pack, exiled, or the rest of their Pack were killed.xxxxx● They range far and wide, eking out a meager existence as best they can. They live off of the smallest game available, and if they're lucky, find the decomposing scraps other Packs have left behind.xxxxx● Although some prefer to be on their own, most Varsythe seek to join a Pack to receive the protection, stability, and food they offer.×x RE Q U I R E D _ P O S T Sx×x x x x● No post requirement per month. xx☽ sʜᴀᴍᴀɴ ☾ xxxxxxxx 1 Varsythe xxxxx● The Shaman is the Varsythe within the pack who has an even temper, steady patience, and is empathetic to all, even their enemies.xxxxx● They are closest to their God -- either the White Alpha or Outcast Omega -- and are often granted Visions of what their deity desires. Because of this, they often counsel the Alpha in the decisions he or she makes, in order to please their God.xxxxx● Shamans are adept at tapping into the Heart of the Pack -- what's left of it -- and from its energy, are given the ability of Foresight, though they cannot control when the visions come. The duration of the vision depends on how long they've been given the Sight.xxxxx● They also possess a power called 'Soulgaze', which allows them to see into the heart of a Varsythe. This ability comes with time and much practice, and it drains them heavily whenever they use it. xxxxx● Aspiring parents who cannot conceive seek out the Shaman, to beseech the White Alpha or Outcast Omega at their behest, in the hope of finding or making a litter.×x RE Q U I R E D _ P O S T Sx×x x x x● 6 posts / Memoir entries per month. xx☽ sᴄᴏᴜᴛ ☾ xxxxxxxx1 - 3 Varsythe xxxxx● The Scouts are the messengers of the Pack, serving as emissaries between allies and even enemies regarding disputes, peace treaties, and even tidings of war. xxxxx● At the Alpha's behest, they also range ahead of the Pack, not only to seek the lay of the land, but to also search for marks or scents that they're encroaching on another Pack's territory.xxxxx● Because of this, they risk their own lives in their job, but it's their solemn duty and must ensure that vital information is relayed to the Alpha or between allied Packs.xxxxx● Scouts must be agile, tolerant, and composed when speaking with other Packs. Those seeking this position must first prove to the Alpha that they can keep their temper even under duress.×x RE Q U I R E D _ P O S T Sx×x x x x● 3 posts / Memoir entries per month. xx☽ ɢᴜᴀʀᴅɪᴀɴ ☾ xxxxxxxx1 - 2 Varsythe xxxxx● The Guardian is responsible for the protection of the pack and especially the Alpha. They have sworn their life and allegiance to their duty, and it is taken very seriously. xxxxx● The Guardian's prime objective and responsibility is the protection of the members of the Pack, and they often choose one or two promising Warriors to train, in the event the Guardian is killed or incapacitated.xxxxx● A Guardian is almost always the War General of the Pack, and he or she takes direct orders from the Alpha in times of strife.xxxxx● While the Alpha may be the one to declare war, the Guardian leads the fighters and devises the plans for war, though the Alpha must approve them. xxxxx● They must be strong, quick, and merciless; the safety and longevity of the Pack is their sworn duty, and because of this, treason is taken exceptionally seriously; if its suspected, the Guardian is brought before the Alpha and -- if guilty -- is either mauled and driven off to be exiled, or simply killed outright. ×x RE Q U I R E D _ P O S T Sx×x x x x● 8 posts / Memoir entries per month. xx ᴡᴀʀʀɪᴏʀ xxxxxxxx1 - 6 Varsythe xxxxx● Warriors serve at the command of both the Alpha and the Guardian, and they are there to keep the Pack safe from any who seek to do them harm.xxxxx● Most aspire to be handpicked by a Guardian to accompany a Scout on an ambassadorial mission; it's a chance to get away from the rank and file, an adventure to go on.xxxxx● However, they are to serve as the Scout's protector and defend them with their life. If they see treachery or disloyalty, they report it immediately, and are greatly favored.xxxxx● Those aspiring to become an Operative must be adept in stealth, be extraordinarily smart, and need to have charisma and a gilded tongue. They're able to talk their way out of almost any unfavorable situation, and are well-versed in not only tactics, but the finesse of the spoken word.×x RE Q U I R E D _ P O S T Sx×x x x x● 6 posts / Memoir entries per month. xx ☽ ᴛʀᴀᴄᴋᴇʀ ☾ xxxxxxxx1 - 3 Varsythe xxxxx● The Tracker is the Lead Hunter; the one who watches and sees all when it relates to Pack needs During the hunt, even the Alpha defers to them, as the Tracker knows best the movements of prey.xxxxx● He or she is in charge of finding water sources, following herd patterns, and the turning of the seasons.xxxxx● They coordinate the Pack hunters into groups, and designate which areas of the Pack territory are to be hunted at certain times.xxxxx● Trackers have perfected seeking signs of not only game, but other Varsythe, and are duty-bound to report immediately to the Guardian or Alpha if they come across anything out of the ordinary, no matter how trife.xxxxx● Those hoping to become Trackers must be fleet of foot, sharp of mind, and more in tune with nature than their Packmates. From the moment of birth, they knew what they were, and so have practiced the medicinal arts and magics all their life.xxxxx● They are uncannily good at sniffing out hurts; not only gouges and cuts, but mental distress or emotional unease. Healers believe it's their duty to put these things back together, and they do so with a competent ease.xxxxx● Healers have a vast store of knowledge when it comes to plants or remedies, and they are also well-known for bestowing charms made of bone or wood upon their Packmates.xxxxx● Healers are chosen very carefully, as one who knows how to set a bone also knows just where to break it. They're in charge or teaching the next generation how to hunt, scout, defend, and attack.xxxxx● Sentinels also keep watch over those who are old or injured, and remains with the Pups or incapacitated around the clock.xxxxx● They are responsible for assisting the Healer with births, as the Pup will spend the first two years of its life with the Sentinel, learning all they have to teach.xxxxx● Those aspiring to become Sentinels must be stout of heart, wise, and steadfast.
