Lixue was out on a mountain looking for something that might be here. Her father had marked this area saying he had found several old world items here from long ago. She had tied off her long rope and around her waist and was hanging off the side of a small mountain. She was only about 10 feet off the ground with another 5' above her head but she knew she could hurt her self if she wasn't really careful. She was digging into the side of the mountain, looking for things that were not normal here. It was a deeper valley around them with the few small mountains around the middle. It was deep enough in here that some of the mountains had stuff long lost from the before.
She was hanging there and digging into the ice with a hand held pick and had just found something shiny coming into view when the rope started moving. Looking up she saw a sprite playing on her rope, jumping up on top of it and pulling and tugging at it. "No! No little one don't do that!" she said as she waved her hand up in the direction of it and tried to shoo the little thing away.
The little thing looked down at the iceling and laughed at the waving hand. She waved back and jumped up and down on the rope before sitting on it and playing with it with her tiny little hands. She giggled and then flew down to the ice females head and flew around it as she tried to examine everything. Pulling at her hair and ears and laughing and playing with things.
Li flapped her hand at it and tried to make her stop. "Please little one stop it! I cant...i'm going to lose my position!" she said with a squeak as her hand slipped from the rock she was holding to hold her self still and she slipped backwards, the rope tied around her legs and hip kept her from falling but now she was upside down, hanging from her hip with her feet up and her head down now. She yelped and tried to right her self but the little sprite kept flitting back and fourth around her head and hands and trying to examine her nose more. Li was finding it hard and very difficult to sit up into a proper position again and she was feeling the blood pooling into her head and needed to find a way up soon.

 Today, Aaricia was outside exploring for the sake of getting away from the town. Her mother was at work, and her friend was off training. What else was there for a youngling to do?
She was actually enjoying herself until she heard the yelp in the air. Brow knitting, she hurried toward where she thought the sound had come from, and gasped softly. Someone was caught upside-down! And.. a sprite? This was trouble...
"Hey! Y-you leave her alone, little sprite!" she called shyly while trying to sound firm. "L-let her get back up!"

The little sprite looked up at the voice above them and the thing smirked and flew up there to play with the little girl now. It flew towards the little ones head and zoomed in and out and around her. Attempting to touch and pull and poke at anything that looked interesting or fun! She zoomed away again and grabbed some snow and started throwing it all around at her and down as Lixue.
Lixue was very glad to have someone distract the little pest. She worked her muscles to their max and curled forward and grabbed the rope and pulled her self up. She panted and shook her head as she looked up at the sprite and the girl only about 5 feet above her. She grabbed onto the ice as snow started falling down above her and she curse the silly thing. She couldn't hate any thing and she loved animals and the natural little things in the land but this one was just making a bad impression.
Hand over hand she climbed up the rope to the little path where the young girl was and she had tied off at. "Thanks for th-" she didn't finish as the sprite kicked snow in her face and Li spit it all out. She finished pulling her self up and grabbed a handful of snow and threw it back. The slightly soft snow ball hit the little sprite and knocked her into the snow.
"Silly creature..." she said as she looked at the girl and sat in the snow. "Thanks for that. It really helped a lot. I couldn't get her to leave me be enough to come up again." she said with a laugh. "Im Lixue! What brings a little one out here?" she asked looking over her. She seemed kind of Ice like but her skin was the wrong color. She smiled though and didn't mind at all, she had helped and thats all that mattered to her.

Aaricia squeaked as the sprite targeted her next, but she'd expected that. How else was the woman supposed to get back upright? Sprites didn't go away easily! She covered her eyes with one hand, and kicked a bit of snow back toward the floating sprite until the stranger was back on a stable surface.
Seeing the little trickster get a ball on snow back at itself couldn't help but to make Aaricia giggle. She looked to the stranger with a shy smile. Remembering herself, she straightened a little and gave a small nod. "I'm glad I could help, Lixue. My name is Aaricia." Lixue seemed kind enough, so maybe talking wouldn't be so bad. "I'm.. just exploring. I finished my chores at home."

Lixue smiled happily and laughed at the little sprite as it fluttered about and laughed at getting hit. It sat on a rock and looked over the two of them and seemed content right now to not cause trouble any more.
"Oh well chores are very good! Does your mom keep on you about them? My mom doesn't live with me any more and so i have to do them really good every day to make sure that she doesn't surprise me with a home visit and the place is a mess." she said with a smile as she checked her hair. It was rather a mess after being upside down and having a sprite mess with it so she undid her large braid and set to redoing it.
"Exploring is good! I love it thats why im here. I love to hunt for treasure! What do you like to do when you explore?" she asked happily.

Aaricia gave a small nod. "Mama says getting chores done helps me be responsible, and she likes that. I like helping mama be happy." She gave Lixue an empathetic look quickly. She couldn't imagine not living with her mother!
Cheeks heating up slightly at Lixue's enthusiasm, she smiled and dug a foot through the snow. "I just like finding things. The little paths around. Quiet places. ..What kind of treasure do you find?"

Lixue smiled at her and nodded. She liked helping her mother too. Back when she was sane and dad was still alive and her and mom spent days playing games when she was a little girl. The hours spent in the sun and in the house cleaning and spending time with her. It had been nice then. Then he was gone and her mom couldn't hold it together and she became lost. It was never the same then.
"Yes it will make you very responsible. Its a good thing to be." she said as she smiled and watched the little girl, her golden eyes glancing at the little sprite who sat in a pile of snow, digging around, looking for food or something in the snow, glancing up at them now and again like she was listening or paying attention at the very least. She was a silly thing and Lixue might offer her to come home with her if she stayed good.
"Oh i haven't found very many good things. I found some old metal here and there and i found some pretty rocks or a few gems. I found a nice rock that split open once and it was bright and crystal and pretty inside. I met someone and he bought it off me for a lot more then i normally would have gotten so that was my best find yet. But my dad thought there was a really good old world city here under the ice and snow and im trying to find proof of it and find it for my father, he died a few years ago." she said so that Aaricia knew why she wished to hunt for a lost dead city.

Aaricia felt herself stand a little bit taller. Having someone affirm her mother's lessons was always a boost in her mind. And from someone who looked like a pure ice, at that!
Her expression lit curiously at the mention of the stone with crystals inside of it. "That sound really pretty," she said softly. What would that be like to find? Lixue's news about her father raised a sympathetic frown. "I'm sorry you lost your papa. You must have liked him a lot to do work for him after he's dead."

She smiled softly as she nodded and watched as the little pixie sat in the softer top snow and ate some of it. "It was a very pretty rock and i needed it to sell cause i had needed a good many things at the time to keep exploring." she said as the girl commented on her dad and how much she must have loved him.
"Yes i loved my father so much. There was nothing he couldn't fix or help me with. And he did everything! He was the best and mama was the best at the time too. They loved eachother so much....Mama hasn't stopped loving him which is why shes not here. She keeps praying to the Gods to send him back to her but i know it wont happen...Sometimes she comes back and is ok but she stays out in a cabin out in the woods to try and pray to them with out being bothered..." She said softly. The little Pixie saw how sad Lixue looked and made a small sad noise and came over and pressed her large odd shaped head under the girls hand. Li smiled and pet it softly as she used her free hand to brush away the tears that had started to form.Cornetified sorry for the long wait work has been super killer as of late with spring break

Aaricia shifted her eyes away. Lixue seemed to love her papa a lot. ..Could she have had that if her own father had stayed? Her eyes darted up hearing about the state of Lixue's mother, and she felt her cheeks warm with emotion. She was so grateful for her mama... To see a pure ice being so open and having such strong feelings of love was a little overwhelming.
"I hope your mama feels better soon," she offered softly. "Mamas are good to have." After a small hesitation, she reached forward to take Lixue's hand encouragingly. "Your mama has you. She'll be okay." Perhaps it was naive, but she truly believed it. Her expression lit up as the sprite fluttered over to help sooth Lixue as well. It was a trouble maker, but a sweetie as well.

Li smiled and gripped her hand back softly. "Thanks! Yes shes good with me but i wish she would think of me more often and be here more often. Its kind of hard doing it all alone with out her sometimes." she said as she laughed as the little pixie forgot about cuddling and suddenly tried to chew on one of Li's fingers. It didn't hurt but she took the little thing and set it aside and dropped some snow on her head.
"Look at me being all emotional. I shouldn't be....Hes onto a better place and i bet where ever he is hes having such good adventures and exploring for treasure all over the place there!" she said with a smile as she watched her. "What do you think you want to do with your life?" she asked with a smile.

Aaricia nodded slowly. Of course, she couldn't sympathize, but she could empathize. Growing up with a single mother, there were a few things that were more difficult than they would have been with a father around. She did have her mother though. Lixue only sometimes did. She couldn't imagine not having her mother around as much as she did.
The optimism in Lixue's voice did bring Aaricia's smile up again, as did the silly sprite. The question surprised her though. "I want to be a seamstress like my mama," she announced with a nod. It was a known path and her mother would teach her well. Perhaps it wasn't her dream, but it would be a good starting place. "And I want to take her an' my friend, Frik, and we'll all find someplace to be happy together."

She smiled happily as she looked at her and watched the pixie rolling around in the snow. "That sounds fun! If you love it and if you love being with your mom. That could be lots of fun! Ive been working on my clothes when i can so i dont have to pay for it when i don't have the funds for it but im not bad." she said with a smile.
"If your ever bored and want to come out and explore with me im always up for some company!" she said with a smile as she watched her. "Do you need help getting home or would you like to explore a bit with me?" she asked happily.

"Mama's really good at it," she praised with a beaming smile.
Her brow rose with the offer to explore with Lixue. "I'd like to explore with you!" Smile falling suddenly, she let her eyes slip to the side. She wanted to explore with Lixue! Very much! But... "Are you sure you wouldn't mind? ...We're alone now, but someone might see you with me later." She didn't want to risk Lixue getting ridiculed for being seen with a hybrid.

She smiled at her and nodded as she hugged the younger one gently. "I do not mind what ever they will say. I like you no matter what you are. And any way they talk about me all the time as it is cause my moms....different. Shes one of the village but shes gotten weird since my father died." she said with a smile as she let go of the girl.
"Well then lets find something fun to do! Lets see theres a nice spot over here that has a lot of rocks we can search over and see if theres anything in them." she said navigating towards a path that lead up a ways to a cluster of rocks that had her feeling hopeful about what might be in the area.
