(( We will need to do one with Huy bringing Eira her Zenan goods too. ))

After a relatively safe trip through Sauti Huy and his caravan had made it to Tale. Of course when he made it to the new area he opted for a change in clothing. Not that he didn't like his old clothes but the weather permitted for him to wear considerably less. A fact that Huyana quite liked.

So along the road he found a nice spot to rest his Mammu and the rest of the caravan. Though really he didn't have to worry about too many. Huy traveled light for a merchant. His familiar pulled the largest cart and then he had a smaller one that carried his private supplies. Mostly it was his food and blankets that were in that one, along with Eiri's things.

Unhitching the animals from their loads he walked them toward a small patch of grass. Huy looked around, wary of the dangerous beasts that lurked around, then nodded his head when he saw none. "Alright boy, you be the look out." The young iceling patted the Mammu gently as he spoke then went back to the carts so that he could change out of his warmer clothing.

"Ah, what luck." Bushi said to himself and the pair of beasts that he was walking along with. He'd spotted a caravan while traveling on his own across Tale and he felt that it was quite lucky on his part, a blessing from On'os to be certain. He would be able to chat with them, possibly do a bit of trading, and see to it that his supplies were replenished. While he wasn't doing badly when it came to food and water it was always good to resupply when possible to avoid any issues down the line. One didn't want to risk starvation or dehydration in Oba so it was something he'd learned to be very careful about even while young.

Giving Aatos a glance he smiled, "You needn't worry, Aatos, I am sure this group will be a little nicer then the last one that you had to deal with. The rust color bushi had been in a bit of a mood since he'd been pelted with paint balls by some unknown assailants back in Ast. This could be a good thing for him, to meet with some nicer travelers, and then maybe his mood would turn back to the normal, amiable one the bushi was known for. As for Profit... well, she was always in a good mood and hadn't seemed to let the unprovoked attack get her down. At least not once the paint had been washed clean from her feathers.

Putting a friendly smile on his face Bushi lifted a hand, giving a wave as he and his familiars approached, wanting the caravan to know he was peaceful.

Thankfully he was finished changing when he saw that someone was approaching the small caravan. Even though the man waved he was still a little concerned. Huy didn't want to get robbed, or have anyone get hurt. At least Eiri wasn't with him at the moment but that left him and Valek on their own.

He turned to look at the youngling and told him to get down for now. When he was sure that the boy had listened he turned his attention back to the man and his familiars. To be polite he returned the wave. "Hello!" He gave a yell in greeting and waited to see if the man was going to come closer.

Of course he hoped that whatever this man wanted it was civil. Huyana had goods to sell if that was what he wanted, otherwise.. well he was sure his small dagger wasn't going to be much of a defense.

The fact that the other man, a Zenan as luck would have it, was waving and calling out a greeting was something that Bushi saw as a good sign. This must mean that he would be able to talk with him and possibly trade with him as well. It would be quite a great boon were he able to... and if not, then possibly just directions to help Bushi along on the next leg of his journey would be enough for him. While one of them held a lot more benefit for him he would be fine either way since either path would be useful in its own way.

Once he'd reached the Zenan he lifted a hand, resting it against Aatos's shell, stilling the great beast before he gave a smile, "Good afternoon to you, my name is Bushi, and I'm a merchant on my way to Sauti. I'd love a chance to chat and trade with your caravan if you're open for trade?" Best that he try to make sure that they were a caravan ready for trade before he started to talk business with the young man.

A sigh of relief left him when he heard what the man wanted. So Huyana gave a nod of his head before he looked back and called for Valek. The youngling popped his head up and looked at them both before rushing over to stand at Huy's side.

"I don't have much but I'm sure we can work something out." His hand waved back to the larger of the two carts he had with him. Huyana had furs from his father as well as other Zenan goods that he hadn't dropped off at Eira's Inn. Then there were the Sauti goods he picked up along the way. He was in Tale to hopefully pick up a lot more before heading home with his orders.

"Well, I am interested in anything that you might have. I have been through Jauhar and Tale, gathering interesting goods while I was there, but I anything from outside of those places though. Sauti and Zena specifically, as I've yet to get there, anything that you might have I'd love take a look at it. He said, giving Huyana his best smile. Scratching Aatos under the chin he said, "If you'd like to trade goods from those places for some things from Oba let me know."

Giving a little whistle Bushi lifted his arm up, allowing his little kinfa, Profit to jump from the back of Aatos's shell and onto his arm. He lowered the little bird down, allowing her to walk around on the ground near to him and the big turtle before he turned back again, "I'm also willing to pay for supplies, fresh water, and directions to the nearest Sautian village from where we are presently." He offered him. How he'd like to know what nearby villages were around, which he should head to first, and where he might be able to bed down for a while when he did reach Sauti. Best to see what information he could trade with the young Zenan since he really did want to learn all that he could about the area he was heading to.

When the man brought up Jauhar, Huy seemed to perk up a bit. Interesting, he thought. Then the gold mine he heard after made him smile at the man. "I've got supplies. I am interested in the goods from Jauhar if you'd like to trade with me." He moved toward one of the larger carts and dug through to pull out the water and food that he had with him. "I have these available." The foods were mostly mundane things. Nuts from the trees in Zena, salted meats from Sauti, and some spiny looking fruits.

Bushi looked over the offerings that the Zenan had retreived from the cart, something that hef ound himself looking over, "Looks good, the fruits especially I'm sure are those that Aatos and Profit will enjoy." A nice treat for the two of them, thanks for all the work that they did at Bushi's behest... though Aatos more the Profit since he was in charge of carrying everything about. After giving the big turtle a pat on the head he set to work digging into his packs, getting out some of the things that he had traded Sauron and a few other people in Ast for, "I have various things from Jauhar for trade. Different pieces that can be made into jewelry, things I've already made into jewelry, paint specially made to decorate familiars, some kinfa and scorra feathers from Tale, and a few different things from Oba though my stores of Oban goods are starting to run low since I haven't been back home for a time."

Giving a smile he said, "If you have goods from Zena I would love to trade you for them. I have been debating visiting the snowy lands but I am not sure they would be good for Aatos here. He's a warm weather beast after all. Not to mention Profit, just a little hatchling like her probably shouldn't make such a trip yet either." If he could get a bounty of Zenan goods from this group he'd be able to skip the Zena trip, something that would save him a lot of time and worry.

Valek peeked around Huyana at the man and his animals, the youngster was curious about them since he'd never seen them before. Mostly his attention was on the bigger thing. It wasn't as big as the Mammu they traveled with but still big.

Huyana smiled and reached over to grab some of the furs from the wagon that he had with him. "I'm selling Zenan furs. My father hunts and skins the animals himself." A process he wasn't too good at but he could sell them for sure. "You can have a look at anything else in the wagons." Huy motioned behind him. There were several things in there that his mother had packed for him to sell. Though she stuffed mostly jewelry and things like that. The edible goods were closer to the back.

Bushi gave the the little one a glance, finding himself for a moment starring back, then glanced at Huyana. There was a moment where he found himself wondering if the little youngling belonged to the other merchant. Maybe? Deciding that it wasn't his business he turned back to the one he was chatting with, giving him a smile, "Zenan furs, huh? I think that would be rather amazing actually. I know some people back home that would love to see something like that." Sure, it was far too hot in Oba to actually wear furs save for some of the cooler nights of the year, but as trim and decorations, that was different. Such things were going to be quite popular were he able to get his hands on them. The skins as well. That would be popular as boots and the like, things they could wear more often.

"I am quite interested in the skins as well. As many of both as we can make a deal for." He said, already thinking on the various things that he could make out of the various furs and skins. He'd only made a few sets of foot wear in his day but with practice he bet he could make a rather popular business of it among the noble women of Sulburri.

"Is there anything in particular that you're interested in? I can see if I have anything of that nature." He said before digging into his packs, taking out some other goods, laying out a blanket, then set to laying out goods for him to look at. Jewelry was something that he had a lot of, accessories with kinfa feathers, "Once I get more leather I think it'd be fun to start making decorative things for familiars to wear to go with the familiar paint. It's a rather popular thing these days, fancying up familiars. At least back home." He gave a nod of his head, his mind seeming to be racing through the possibilities. There were just so many things he wanted to make... but they would need to wait until he had some down time. He was busy with work right now after all.

He looked at Valek since he noticed the man was as well then shook his head and smiled. There was nothing he could do about the boy's curiosity. As business resumed he watched as Bushi set out a blanket and then started to roam the selection with his eyes. "Ah, the jewelry would be very nice. Those styles aren't common in Zena." First he'd adorn his mother with them and let the women of the village pine for them before he actually let them sell.

"I like the ones with the Kinfa feathers, but you have some there that look like scales." Huyana pointed to some of the accessories closer to the edge of the blanket. "I'd like some of those as well, if you don't mind."

Bushi moved the mentioned pieces over to one side of the blanket, feeling that he should separate out the ones that the Zenan merchant wanted from the others. He gave a smile, "These scales here are from an Oban beast called the janarim. Those that are used by the soliders are one thing, those that roam wild in packs are useful for other things." Making them into armor, jewelry, and various other goods for instance he thought to himself.

"How many scales would you like me to add to my offer?" He asked, showing some of the other scales that he had, "They come in various colors and patterns, so if you'd like you can choose which among the scales you would prefer." If only he had more on hand he'd be able to trade them for a good among of furs, but his supplies from Oba were running quite low these days.

Scales from a beast of Oba. Huyana nodded his head as he thought about what to do with them. He could make something for Eirlys. She would appreciate the idea since she wanted to become a beast tamer. So he looked over the color selection that Bushi had then picked out a few. "Those yellowish ones and a few of the blue." He would have gotten some of the more bright colors but he wasn't sure if she would like those.

Since he was then done picking out what he found appealing he lifted his gaze to meet the man's. "I have different furs if you want to have a look." Huy shifted so that he could reach in and lift a few of the pelts from the wagon. Many were neutral colors but there were a few that had highlights from the brighter end of the spectrum.

"Excellent choices, I do love the blue scales myself." Bushi said, scooting them over to add them to the pile. The blue scales were nice, a color that was more often seen in Matori then Oba, which made them stand out more back home. In exchange for the furs though he was only too happy to add them to the trade, "I'd love to see what you have up for trade."

Walking over to where Huyana stood Bushi started to dig around through the pelt, inspecting each one closely, "This silver one is really nice, as well as this golden one, and this speckled one here is pretty as well." He said, running his hands over each of the fluffy furs, "What sort of beast do these furs come from?" He asked, sounding curious. He doubted something this fluffy would do well in Oba, so buying some wouldn't do him any good, but it would be nice to know what sort of creature it was in case he needed more the skins later on.

"For the moment I think that these three will suffice and fill the needs that I have. It would help to know what beast they are in case I wish to trade for more in the future." He explained after picking up the trio of different pelts that he was interested in, inspecting them closely in the light while awaiting an answer.

He watched as Bushi went through the furs. Huyana wondered which ones he was more interested in. At first he assumed that the man would go for some of the more wild colored ones, but when he came out with a nice silver colored fur Huy smiled. When asked what animals they came from he had to stare at the pelts for a moment before he could answer. "Ah, the silver one is from a parak. The golden one, since the fur is slightly longer than the others, comes from an Awatta. And a Roati is responsible for the spotted one." It surprised him that he was able to remember which animal produced which fur, but his father had taught him well so he could impress customers. "They are all good choices." Huyana gave a nod of his head.

"I will be making regular trips into Tale if you ever need more." It wouldn't hurt to have a future customer lined up. Plus, he needed someone that he could always sell to or buy from.
