WHAT IS UP MY BROSHIDOS
Just started birthright.
I knew the fast wouldn't last. (We shall secretly be infiltrating Birthright only to bring more glory to Nohr!)
Just got to CH 17. And one thing I've really enjoyed with playing the second version - which would apply regardless of what order a person picked - is traveling to a lot of the same locations in the reverse order. Like the fort where you get Sakura and get to see her tend to the wounded is the same fort where you encounter her in Conquest. And seeing that from both sides made me appreciate the location a lot more.
I've enjoyed the cast and characters I'm using in Birthright for the most part (really loving Rinkah, Oboro, Orochi, and Subaki), but the plot is hardly selling me any more than the other side did because it's weak regardless, and the chapters are definitely a lot A LOT
A LOT easier. Very Awakening. Rout, ROUT,
ROUT. The Dragon Veins here also basically just GIVE easy victory to you thus far. Like Chapter 14? What WAS that? That chapter would have been perfectly fine without Dragon Veins that cumulatively reduce the boss to 3 HP without healing available. It did make Capturing the boss effortless.
Silas does seem to be more useful here. In part because what he offers is more unique, but also largely because of some of the weapons only available in Birthright like the Guard Naginata (I LOVE that thing) and Practice Katana, both of which he makes excellent use of.
I also love the greater variety of Shuriken available for sale, but hate not being able to readily buy Javelins.
I have yet to feel challenged in the chapters, but it is fun seeing Rinkah at level 20/1 and having 31 Defense after Pair Up.
