Sun was shining, a slight chill in the air. There were still little pink hearts scattered about even, fresh from a holiday that was happily avoided. Etana stretched, wings fluttering out a bit behind her. She'd made a journey to see someone she hadn't in far too long. She was thrilled to be almost there, or maybe she was there and couldn't tell? The place she was headed was so spread out compared to what she was used to in the city. The angel pondered this for a minute, and glanced back to her wings. It was thanks to him that she was able to fly again. Or walk or really do much of anything. After they'd gotten stuck in that marsh together, she had wound up utterly useless. It was a wonder she hadn't come down to visit him before. No matter, she was there now. She stretched her face into a wide smile and continued on in the direction she'd been told to follow to get to his home. Or at least near his home.

"Aaaaddooooorraaa! I'm stepping out for a quick walk of fresh air. Keep an eye on our new guest eh?" The red fae called out before shutting the door behind him. What. A. Trip. It made his head hurt thinking about it. Seeing Harmonia was always a pleasure to be sure, but the stress with Adora was going to make him go gray. She would have been fine if she had obeyed the rules.
But no.
Can't have that. Putting the wilwarin out of his mind, he set on his walk in the cool crisp air. Refreshing. A moment of peace and solitude from all the noise of the house. Well...hellooooo there. Pretty little booty spotted directly ahead. Wait, he knew that pretty little booty! He could never forget such a gorgeous face, even if it had been two years since. "Etana!"

Etana jumped, emerald eyes shooting wide. She wasn't expecting anyone out here to know her, aside from Tristen at least. Oh! Her surprised expression quickly morphed to one of glee. This was exactly the fae she'd come out to see. Who else would notice her? "Tristen?" She called, turning around to confirm it was the stunning hunk of man that had saved her rather tasteful booty when she was injured. Setting eyes on him brought out a wider smile. "There you are!" Etana started towards him, keeping herself back from running. Guardians knew he didn't need to catch her again.

When she turned to meet his gaze, his grinned from ear to ear with glee. "Etana! It really is you! What are you doing way out here?!" He quickened his pace to meet up with her, his heart feeling light after all the stress with Adora. How good it was to see a friend.
As the distance closed between them, he opened his arms to envelop her in a hug before kissing her cheek. "It's so good to see you my love! You're looking much better." Considering her broken leg and busted wings from the marsh, she was doing far better now. And she didn't just look better, she looked good. How lucky was he to attract all these gorgeous ladies?

"Would you believe I came all the way down here to see you?" She laughed, thrilled to see him finally. Recovery had taken so long she'd believed she'd never get out of the city to go visit him. And okay, she'd stalled a little, not sure if he'd even want to see her again. The dark angel happily returned his hug, planting her lips on his cheek as well. He had the most exuberant of greetings and she adored it. This moment right here made her wonder why she'd ever thought he wouldn't want to see her again. Tristen was the sweetest ever. "You look like you've been relaxing with someone amazing~" She grinned, finally taking a good look at him. He did look like he had been at least somewhat enjoying himself. Maybe it was her imagination, but he almost smelled like the sea!

"Me?" The male blinked in surprise as he stepped back after the hug. Why would anyone go through such trouble to see him? He was nothing special. "I'm flattered! Honestly, I've meant to go to the City to visit you -and a certain troubled sibling- but whenever a good opportunity came up, something always happened." Like Lorelei, or a cruise.
Speaking of cruises. Did the relaxation really show like that? Amazing. Perhaps he should go on vacations more often. And oh, Harmonia. What a lovely woman. He really should schedule a visit to her temple in the near future. "Is it that obvious? I went to a Venus party where surprisingly very little went wrong!" Well, besides his whole daughter being kidnapped and being led towards a giant cooking pot.
She was still grounded for that.
But in comparison to other Venus parties, the whole thing was really quite tame. "Just got back a few days ago. So this is great timing really. Would you like to come inside, take a rest? You must be tired from traveling."

She nodded, still grinning from ear to ear. And pondered for a moment. "Troubled sibling? Is there someone up there I might know?" Her head tilted, looking at the handsome fae currently holding her. Maybe she could provide information on Tristen's sibling? She'd love to be a help to him. Ooooh, he'd been off to one of the fabled parties. "That sounds awesome~ I've always wanted to go to one of those parties~ Did you have fun?" She asked, beaming. Maybe she'd get around to going to one of the infamous parties "Oh~ This is great timing then!" She couldn't help but smile again. Seemed like that was all she was capable of at the moment. "Oh yes please Tris. It's been days since I touched ground." And she was tired. Or excited to see him. Both. She could and happily was both.

Oops, he said a bit too much. Trusting Etana wasn't the concern here as much as it was that the less she knew the safer she'd be. While he'd like to think every pae had good inside them, he also held no illusions that there would be some who would hurt friends or family to get to Raken. His brother had participated in something quite serious.
"Oh probably not. He's a bit of a recluse, doesn't really have any friends. But that's by choice and he's pretty content with it." A half lie. While Raken was a recluse by choice, he'd be shocked if there was a pae who wouldn't know by now about what happened to the Faun Tree.
The fae hopped the issue would lie though as he slipped an arm around hers to start leading her back towards his home. They were only a few yards away from it as he had just left. So much for that walk. Ah well, catching up with old friends trumped that. "Tremendous fun. Although, I did end up bringing two pae home with me...excluding my daughter of course. So now it's me, Adora, Lorelei, Zaboo, Kaayla and our two pets Floss and Kizzy. I apologize ahead of time for their noise."

Etana smiled, accepting his answer as truth. If Tris's brother didn't have any friends, she probably didn't know him. "So long as he's happy, that's what counts~" She nodded, glad to hear his family was happy. Unused to being touched so freely, Etana did offer a quiet squeak when his arm wrapped around her. It'd been a couple of years since the last time he'd touched her, and even then it was so gentle she could still remember how kind he'd been about the entire situation. "Okay, Adora is your absolutely amazing baby girl. Who are Lorelei, Zaboo, and Kaayla?" She looked up to him, still smiling. She understood the large family thing, and exactly how important Adora was to him. But the rest were all new names to her. And so were the pet names, but he'd already said they were pets. There wasn't a whole lot of need for more explanation on them. "Are they your grandchildren? Did she finally find someone to love her as she deserves?" It was hard not to feel a twinge of concern for the girl. Tristen did enjoy talking about her while they were trapped in the swamp. And she enjoyed hearing about Adora, it was a darn good distraction from her smashed up parts.

Family he could talk about for days. One didn't need to pry to get answers about his darling little girl from him! Instantly the fae seemed to all but glow at the excitement of filling in his friend. "Lorelei is my first grandchild!" His chest puffed with pride, and he did indeed mean first grandchild. He was confident eventually there would be others. "Zaboo and Kaayla are strange cat pae with masks we've sort of adopted, but Lorelei! Oh you'll love her she's fantastic. Do you remember way, way back when pae were dropped off in baskets? I didn't think the Guardians still did that but that's exactly what happened with 'Lei."
Which brought him to her other question. Adora and love. What an unlucky girl. "...Maybe? At this party she brought a date she seemed to rather like but...I don't know. I don't think he thinks of highly of her as she does of him. You know?" How anyone could know his sweet girl and not fall head over heels for her was beyond him. Maybe the blue fae she was with was secretly gay...Dementia Requiem Asumi Pae doesn't like Adora? MUST BE GAY rofl oh the logic of a father

"That's amazing Tris!" She squealed, hugging the fae. He was clearly very proud of the girl, and she couldn't help but be excited for him. He continued on talking, explaining about Zaboo and Kaayla, and she was glad for it. A blush crossed her face when she realized she'd just jumped and hugged Tristen. "Pae used to be delivered in baskets?" Etana's head tilted a little, having no idea that'd happened. Or maybe she did and just didn't remember it? Ooooh, poor girl. "Oh no, that's horrible! How could anyone not be head over heels for Adora? I feel like I'm in love with her and all I know is what you've told me about her!" He only spoke wonderful things. It was nearly impossible to believe a pae could be so amazing, but this was Tristen's daughter after all. Of course she would be as wonderful as her father. Tartara Seabreeze Dad Logic. It is the best logic <3

The fae was more than happy to accept the warm hug. Who wouldn't love an attractive angel hugging on them? He laughed at her question. Oh how he often forgot not all were old like him. "Oh yes. I arrived in a basket. So did a couple of my siblings to mom. Just left them by her door. She saved a few of those baskets actually. Not bad craftsmanship."
He shook his head about Adora, just as baffled. "I don't know. But to be honest, I believe it might have been getting to her head before Lorelei showed up. Pae weren't meant to be alone. Sure there's me, but I'm just her dad and just one pae. The best thing about life is love, and without love there is no real life. You know?" He spoke wistfully before chuckling. "Look at me, trying to be all thoughtful. Never was my strong suit."

"Oh wow. I had no idea!" She grinned, idly grabbing his hand and weaving their fingers together. Etana was still trying to wrap her mind around the whole basket baby thing. Who would've thought of that. "You seriously have some of the baskets? Are they as beautiful as the little one they carried?" The angel asked, curious. Really, how could a baby come in a basket? Wasn't there a little more biology involved? "Ah.. No, no pae was meant to be alone." His words triggered a soft pang in her heart. She really hadn't gotten out there and met any friends, or even a potential loved one. Unless Tris himself counted. Surely he did. He was a dear friend after all, and she'd come here thinking of more. "Aww, Tris, I think being thoughtful is most assuredly your thing. If it weren't for you being quick on your feet, we'd still be stuck in that nasty swamp!" She teased, nudging his arm with hers. And really, he'd saved her life back then. He was the kindest, most selfless pae she'd ever met.

The male blinked as the black angel entwined their fingers. Was...she coming on to him? He wasn't sure how to feel about that. One hand, she was a gorgeous and kind lady who he bonded with through a traumatic experience. On the other, what if he was somehow misreading the signals? Typically he'd be all for jumping in feet first with smooches, but she was an actual friend. "Not by a long shot. Nothing is more beautiful than a baby's smile. But they're great for picnics." At her compliment, he smiled broadly before nudging her back. "I need you to repeat that in front of my brother. Or my entire family. But definitely my brother." They were only a few feet from his house now and he brought them to a stop before the door. "So, fair warning. All those pae that I mentioned before? They're all home. Right now. So...Expect 50 questions when we get back in before they go back to their rooms."

Etana blinked a little, glancing down at their hands. She hadn't even remembered doing that. Nonplussed, Etana ignored it, figuring it was normal for friends to hold hands. "Ooooh, that is a good idea." Etana nodded along in agreement. He was right, at least she thought so. Not so much experience with babies. "Haha, sure Tris" She agreed, more than willing to sing his praises to anyone who would listen. The dark skinned angel paused, looking up at the handsome fae in front of her. "The entire family?" Gulp. But after the questions they'd all flee? "Wait, just 50?" Game face. She could face whatever was behind the door. They were related to Tristen, so they were all really awesome pae right? He wouldn't knowingly lead someone into a den of tigers.
