Looking out the window in the hallway outside his room, Iah looked at the stars in awe. They were so beautiful, and for once he could finally see them for himself! Back home the storm wouldn't allow for such things, so his family didn't think much in the logical about them. It wasn't really possible to think logically about the sky when you couldn't see it. Instead, they were into astrology, generations of his family passing down what they knew to the next generation. Just like his parents before him and their parents, they had passed that knowledge down to all there children. Iah wasn't into that sort of thing though, and even though he was so young feared for when he was older and would have to admit to his family he wasn't too into the zodiac and defined fate stuff. That was one reason he was so eager to leave, so he could get away from having to admit such a thing.

As he looked out though, Iah began to feel lonely by the window, his tail drooping to the floor. Back home he seemed to never be alone, but now that was completely different. He didn't have anyone to talk to, especially about the stars. Not only that, but there was no one to explain all this technology to him. He had been seeing other nightmares and daydreams older than him using weird devices he had never even seen before. Was he going to have to learn to use all that stuff just to get through school?!

Iah was startled for a moment when they found themselves being talked to, turning to face the strange once he had gotten a grip of himself. What race was this being? He had never seen such a creature before, even among the other freshlings so far he had come across. However, he was glad to know that this freshling was interested in the same thing he was, bringing him some comfort to start talking back ", Yeah, I want to know more as well. I've grown up learning so much about them from my parents, but I have so much more to learn. For once, I can finally see them for myself and not just hear legends about them."

Looking back up at the sky through the window, he began to reach for the glass, kind of hoping that he could somehow get closer to them and figure out all there secrets. What tales had he yet heard of them would he learn? What knowledge could come to him from taking the time to figure out all he could from them? Iah had no idea what he could learn from all this, but he was going to find out as much as he could.

"Yeah I am new," he replied, giving the dryad a small grin. So that was what she was, a daydream from the above! He hadn't heard much of the above when it came to where he was born. It was hardly believed that anything lived outside the storm anyway, and yet here he was! ", A dryad tree person? Sounds pretty cool to me, although there weren't many trees back where I am from," Iah turned to face the daydream some, wanting to give them more of his attention ", My name is Iah. I'm a naga. A bunch of children of my kind and also the bakeneko recently arrived here at the school after our home was discovered in the Swirling Storms. Until now I have never really been able to see the stars too well. The storm was always in the way. All my family had was what was passed on from their parents through the generations. My parents wanted me to see the world, so they sent me here. How about you? Why are you here?"

"Computer lab? What is a computer lab?" This daydream might not of known, but the naga and bakeneko were not much up to date with technology and latest things. Iah couldn't even grasped the idea of some of these more modern foods, let alone what this computer thing was. Perhaps this dryad could help him out in figuring it all out? After all, it would seem they knew this stuff better than he did already, despite the two of them being around the same age it looked like ", Umm... sorry. Back home we are behind with the times. Like... really behind in the times. I even bet telescopes are way different from what I am used to. Could you be able to explain... well... what a computer lab is?"

His tail rattled a bit in excitement, beginning to grow more and more curious as to what this computer lab thing was. Would he have to use it often for school? If he did, then it would be best to figure it out as soon as possible!

"I want to go see the computer lab," Iah explained, tail rattling excitedly. Now that he knew there was something new for him to discover, he couldn't get his mind off of it! How could he when there was this new thing he could explore with someone's help? Learning all this stuff on his own made him nervous, but with this other freshling he was now excited for those things! Aiday was so nice to offer to do that too, and she seemed to be into the same stuff as him. That was also nice to have in a future possible friend ", Can we go right now even though it is late?"

"We should go see it tomorrow. I don't want to be known as a bad freshling for sneaking out," Iah admitted to Aiday, even though he wanted to see the computer lab so badly, he knew he shouldn't be sneaking out. That was a bad thing back home and surely it was even worse here in this new place. His eyes opening with curiosity and yet more excitement though when Aiday mentioned the tiny computer. Was it even possibly to get this excited? Even moving here hadn't gotten him this overjoyed and willing to figure out new things besides learning more about stars ", A small computer? It would be better for me to first see a normal computer, but oh well. Cell phone it is!"

"What... what is that thing?!" He was in complete awe of it. What one earth was it? Surely this wasn't something that actually existed, right? This wasn't what it actually was! How could this small object do all that in the first place? He had to figure it out. He had to learn more about all this computer and phone stuff! ", How... how... can you show me more?!" He had to be sure that the item before him was in fact real. After all, it was showing the night sky without him actually needing to see it!

"My home isn't as interesting as this device you are holding, but I will tell you anything you want to know," Iah exclaimed, reaching out toward the cell phone cautiously. Would something bad happen to it if he touched it? Nervously, he had his fingers hover over the device, looking up at Aiday before attempting anything else ", Can... can I touch it? It won't break if I just touch it? It isn't like you are the only one who can touch this cellphone, right?"
