 Jonah sat in his dorm room he had gotten a message from his brother Noah that he wanted to meet for lunch. Jonah was worried was there something wrong with Noah?? What if someone was being mean to him and Jonah hadn't been there to protect him, he was such a failure as a big brother, even if he woke up a few minutes before Noah it still counted. Jonah should have fought harder to get them put in the same room, it had been foolish of him to allow sweet Noah out of his site, and now Noah needed his help, Jonah was sure of it. Perhaps he was overreacting thinking that Noah was in trouble, perhaps he just wanted to see his twin. Noah and Jonah were supposed to be together always, they were going to pull pranks and practice their disappearing powers. Then all the sudden they were so busy with classes and their new houses, they had been swept apart from each other and their plans had been forgotten; it annoyed Jonah greatly. Though on his own, Jonah was more his own person instead of pretending to be gentle Noah. Jonah sighed wondering if anyone would like Jonah for Jonah, he still didn't think so, he was sure that everyone would like Noah better and that was ok. Jonah would become an amazing doctor someday and then it wouldn't matter if anyone liked him or not. Jonah continued on to the lunchroom to sit down and wait for Noah to arrive. Jonah sat there tapping the table in his annoyed manner, Jonah didn't like waiting even if it was for Noah who he loved with his whole being. He still couldn't shake the feeling that his twin needed him and something was wrong. So Jonah's nerves were fried as he sat nervously waiting.

Noah sighed as he leaned against the door to his dorm room and massaged his temples. He was supposed to meet up with Jonah today and he was late, no thanks to his stupid roommate. The grimm he’d been roomed with was nothing but a bully. And very lazy. He never wanted to pick up after himself and left all of the messes for Noah to clean up. This morning had been especially bad. After a long day yesterday, Noah had turned in early. He had left a note for his roommate, respectfully asking him to do the dishes — as Noah had been doing them ever since they’d moved in together. When Noah had woken up, though, not only had the dishes not been done but more had been added to the pile and his roommate’s dirty clothes were strewn about the place. Noah had sighed as he’d glanced towards the bedroom door opposite of his own. And, since he hadn’t wanted to disturb his roommate — and incur his wrath — Noah had gotten busy on cleaning up the mess. He’d only managed to slip out of the room just as his roommate’s door was creaking open. Pushing away from the door, Noah set out for the cafeteria, grumpy mood slowly slipping away at the thought of finally getting to see his brother after a long absence. The moment he stepped into the cafeteria, the smell of various foods assaulted his nose and he couldn’t help the growl his belly unleashed. “Find Jonah first. Food after,” he mumbled to himself as he glanced around the large room in search for his lunch companion. When he finally spotted Jonah, a huge grin cut across his face. “Jonah!” Noah waved, yelling for his brother as he moved towards him.

Jonah gave Noah the smile that was just for him, perhaps someday someone else would tough Jonah's heart, but for now, his twin was the only one that Jonah really cared about. "Hey, Noah, how have your classes been going?? Is everything alright with your roommate??" So many questions poured out of Jonah all his worries that he hadn't been caring for his twin as he was meant to do. Jonah would never let it stand if someone was being mean to Noah, even if he had to go to the headmistress herself he would fix whatever was causing Noah to be upset.

Noah couldn’t help but wrinkles his nose at the mention of his roommate. The last thing he wanted to do, at least for now, was talking about the grimm he shared his space with. He’d wanted to get away from him — not talk about him. So Noah did his best to avoid answering that question altogether and instead, he focused on the question about his classes. “Classes have been great for the most part. Math was a little rough at first but…” He trailed off, shrugging as if to dismiss that thought. Once he’d sat down and actually studied over the material, putting a little extra time into, he’d been alright. “What about you? How have classes been treating you?” Noah almost didn’t have time to finish the question before his stomach rumbled and growled again. His cheeks turned a soft pink as he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. “Sorry about that, I’m starving.”

Jonah was revealed that Noah was ok, he hadn't brought up any problems besides math. So Jonah thought that everything was ok though he did notice his twin wrinkle his nose, but Jonah didn't want to ruin the time they had together or force Noah to confide in him if he didn't want to. "I can help you study for math if you like." Then Jonah thought back on his classes "Mine have been alright though I think I was a bit overconfident about a few of them and made some mistakes." Jonah wanted to bang his head on the table admitting weakness, but Noah was his twin so it was acceptable. Jonah grinned at the idea of food his stomach rumbled as well, he stood up. Then said "Come on Noah let's go get some food."

Noah grinned and nodded. “Food sounds lovely. I’ve had a busy morning already. I had...some cleaning to do. That’s why I was so late.” He gave his twin an apologetic smile since he knew that Jonah didn’t particularly enjoy waiting on others — even Noah himself. “I didn’t expect to have anything waiting for me when I got up but…” He trailed off, shrugging as they took their place in line to get food. “How are things going outside of class? Any free time?” Noah frowned for a moment and shook his head. “It’s really strange not being close to you anymore. It’s hard to get used to being away from someone you’ve practically spent most of your life with, yeah? It’s so weird that we actually have to catch up on things.”

Jonah cocked his eyebrow "Since when were you the messy type?? Have you been letting your discipline slip without me around to nag you??" Jonah asked letting his big brother attitude show clear. Even if Jonah had only woken a few minutes before Noah he still thought himself the older twin and it was his job to make sure that Noah was taken care of. "What do you mean you went to bed and it was clean and got up to a mess?? That make no sense unless you're not telling me something about your roommate." Jonah frowned as he moved into the food line with Noah. Jonah sighed "I don't have a social life without you Noah, I'm not good with anyone but you, you know that. I don't know where to begin getting to know someone different from us, everyone else is an outsider this is us.. our world, their world.." Jonah sighed "Maybe we should take to the caretakers and the headmistress and get the dorm thing fixed??"

Noah kept quiet for a moment, avoiding the questioning look he knew Jonah was giving him. Finally, after they paid for their lunch and headed towards a table, off away from others, he sighed and shook his head. “My roommate is a slob. And so lazy. And pushy. He won’t do any of the clean up work. I went to bed early last night and there were only a couple of things.” Noah rubbed his face and shook his head. “I left a note, asking him if he could clean up...since he wasn’t home yet. But when I woke up there was a fresh pile of dirty dishes and his clothes were strewn all over the place.” Noah flopped down into his chair, huffing as he picked up the apple he’d selected from the fruit options and bit into it. He took his time, chewing and swallowing the fruit so he’d have time to think about what his brother had suggested. “Do you really think they’d move us in with each other? There has to be a reason they split us up in the first place.”

Jonah waiting for Noah to answer him as they took their lunch to the table. Then he listened to Noah tell him everything that was going on with his roommate. Jonah's first and only thought, at first, was to fix everything for Noah to protect him, Jonah didn't have to heart to leave his twin to suffer in that mess. "We'll talk to the headmistress if we must, but we'll fix this Noah, whatever it takes." Jonah said firmly. Then he started eating his lunch and said "I still want to be a doctor, have you found something that speaks to you yet Noah??" Jonah asked his twin curiously. Jonah paused waiting for Noah to answer his question. Thinking about getting a meeting with the headmistress so he could fix his twins problem.

Noah relaxed visibly, the tension he’d been feeling ever since waking up to the mess of his dorm slowly eased out of him at his brother’s promises. He only hoped that headmistress Ava was understanding and really didn’t mind rooming the two of them together. It would make his life so much easier and stress free. He took another bite of his apple and eyed his brother. Even though they were twins, they were as different as night and day at times. Here his twin was wanting to become a doctor, help people. And here Noah was, the twin obsessed with cleanliness and all things fine arts. He’d dabbled in a few things — painting, sketching, fashion, writing (he did like writing, though) — but nothing had really stood out to him until he’d picked up a guitar one day in music class. Noah had spent the whole of the class period playing around with the guitar and, in the end, he’d decided that he wanted to learn all there was to guitars (bass, electric, acoustic...all of it). “Music,” he said as he finally spoke up. “The guitar, specifically.”

Jonah touched Noah's shoulder "Don't worry Noah it will be alright." he said softly, Jonah didn't touch anyone but Noah, he didn't hug anyone else, he didn't really smile at anyone else. Noah was his person and that was all there was to it. No one else mattered besides Noah and his happiness. Jonah didn't understand everything about his brother, he didn't understand all the fine arts stuff. It was like Jonah thought with one side of his brain and Noah thought with the other. Noah was so sweet and gentle and Jonah was rougher and harder to warm up to others. Jonsh wondered if Noah would fall in love with someone junior year and leave him behind the thought frightened Jonah. What was he going to do if Noah left him alone?? Jonah did his best not to let the fear show in his eyes. "I'm glad you've found something you love." Jonah tried to keep the bitterness out of his voice as the thoughts of love, made him think more about the thoughts of Noah falling in love with someone.. and then leaving Jonah behind..

Noah nodded as he finished off his apple. “It’s nice to finally know what I want to do with my life, even if I’m still rather young.” He raised an eyebrow and pinned his twin with a stare. “And what about you? You said you still want to be a doctor but what kind of doctor? Do you want to specialize in anything or just be a regular doctor that people go to for check ups and such?”

Jonah tossed a couple of grapes in his mouth as he listened to Noah, he still had trouble imagining his life without his twin, to imagine caring for someone as he cared for his brother. Jonah laughed "Yea I just kind feel here." Jonah said as he touched his chest and said. "That I want to be a doctor, I want to take care of others." Jonah thought a moment and then said. "I think I want to take care of infants and freshlings, I don't think I want to take care of adults." Jonah wrinkled his nose, Jonah didn't really like adults, he felt like they were rather useless to his life at the moment. After all, there were no parents for Noah and Jonah, just the caretakers that were responsible for all the freshlings. "What kinda of music do you want to play?? Soft, jazz, rock??" Jonah grinned thinking of Noah dressed up in a punk outfit rocking out.

Noah grinned at Jonah’s answer. “Suits you, I think. You’ll make a great doctor.” He leaned back in his chair, thoughtful about his brother’s next question. He’d not had a chance to explore all there was out there, as far as music went and he hadn’t really been able to pin down an exact style he wanted to go with. “I’m not really sure right now. “Jazz is lovely, at least from what I’ve seen. But there’s so much out there that I haven’t really had a chance to explore it all. There’s plenty of time to figure that out. For now, I think I’m going to keep my options open and explore different styles in more depth.” He leaned forward, elbows propped on the table and his chin resting in his hands. “But enough about that. Do you think we could go talk to Ava about getting moved into the same dorm room? I’m not sure how much more of my roommate I can take.”

Jonah smiled and said "Thanks, Noah." Jonah nodded listening to Noah's musings about what sort of music he would like best. "Maybe we can go listen to some other people play sometime, maybe one will inspire you to play that kinda music." Jonah frowned and wanted to growl but he wasn't a grimm and a gesit growling, just seemed weird to him. "Let's go talk to Miss Ava now, I want you moved into my dorm, where I can make sure no one is mistreating you." Jonah sighed "I'm sorry I wasn't there to protect you Noah."
