Hyperborea dodged a punch from the large stone fist aimed at her head. Her ancestor swung hard and fast, she had already learned on more than one occasion that Theseus didn't believe in holding back in sparring especially since her promotion to Knight. This punch was followed up by a swift kick, as Hyperborea went to step back out of the kicks path her foot got caught on her dress and as she started to trip the kick connected with her abdomen sending her tumbling to the dirt. Her armor did little to lessen the impact of the strong kick, and like usual the force from it was enough to make Hyperborea loose her breath and feel like throwing up.
Theseus let out a sigh. "Let's take a break, catch your breath Kora." Came the merciful words she had been hoping for, Hyperborea gladly made her way over to the raised dais to take a seat while holding her stomach.
As she was recuperating Theseus wandered over looking wistful at the stars far above them. "Kora have I ever told you of my partner, the summons of Hyperborea?" She shook her head. "She was a brilliant white deer with beautiful golden antlers and brass hooves, and her eyes matched our suns' bright purple hue. She could move at unmatched speeds across a battlefield, I'd wager not even a knight of Princess Uranus could match her speed. And there was no surface she could not travel across be it the vertical walls of a keep or even across water, she ran over it like it were an flat plain. Cerynitis, my faithful mount." He said with what sounded like happiness in his voice.
"She aided me Kora, and she may aid you someday." Hyperborea perked up at that, the idea of having her own magical companion like Camelot's dragon or Hvergelmir's teleporting blue deer was really appealing.
"Why tell me this now though?" She asked confused why Theseus was only now bringing it up. "You have earned her service now, and besides you've already found the treasure connected to her haven't you?" He said before turning away and wandering away to leave her with her thoughts.
The horn, could that be what he was referring to. It had seemed important to Hyperborea that was why she kept it. She made a mental note to try using it at some point. It was just another thing to add to the list of things she needed to do at some point. She took a gulp of fresh air and stood up ready to go for another round of sparring with Theseus.
