A brief overview of their life so far: She grew up with a small biological family, but was raised typically for a fae--which was to say, the community all contributed to her young life in some way or other. Quirky as she has always been, she was generally liked for her friendly and cheerful demeanor. Going to university so far from home was hard at first, the hardest part of which was the lack of sunlight, which contributed to a huge depressive phase for her and no amount of artificial light could cure since her drooping was purely psychological. Once she made friends there however it helped to cheer her up, and she goes home whenever she can to visit. She is happy just being where her friends are, whomever they may be. She keeps a bright sunlamp in her room that she sits under for the emotional benefits of pretending she is out in the Above sunshine, but it's her friends that give her the most benefit. Appearance of others means nothing to her. She may be startled if someone looks shockingly different from 'the norm', but she gets over such surprises quickly and will greet that person on merit of who they are, not what they look like.
Whether or not they're an orphan from the cache: She is not! She was raised with her biological family.
How their status as an orphan or non-orphan has effected them: Her family has loved her, and so have her neighbors. She feels she has lacked for nothing, and been very fortunate indeed.
One event that changed their life or effected them: There was one black moment in her life, when she was home for the summer and was walking in the forest. Somehow a fire got started and before she knew it, she was trapped. She escaped serious injury by making a desperate flight through a break in the canopy, but the event was severely traumatizing for her so that she has trouble dealing with fire in most forms.
How they feel about their race and house: She is happy to be a fey and never wishes she had been born as anything else. Her house makes her happy too. She is right where she wants to be.
Their goals in life: The nurturing nature of a healer comes naturally to her, and from childhood she was nursing others hurts the best she could, from offering bandages for physical hurts, to attention and hugs for emotional distress. She was constantly bringing home hurt animals as well. She wants to become a doctor and take care of the sick. Specifically the treatment of children, since she feels her personality and idiosyncrasies would mesh best with the young. If that doesn't pan out, veterinary studies would be her next objective. It's entirely possible she will simply try to cover both her passions at once!

Personality: Naosu is happy. Extremely so. That is pretty much the first thing people might notice about her. She's peppy and chirpy and extremely tactile, loving to touch and be touched. When with her friends, she will try to lean on at least one of them if they're sitting or try to hold their hand or arm if they're not. If you befriend her, be ready to be snuggled! Talking to her can be interesting since she enjoys speaking in third person and occasionally in a more child like and less grammatically correct manner. This might give the impression that she's impaired, but the honest truth is she simply enjoys being strange. She'll talk normally if she's given reason to or asked, but much prefers having fun with syntax. She sees little point in being serious all the time, though anyone worried she might be flippant about serious matters need not fret. She knows there are times when her joyous manner would be inappropriate and can behave accordingly.
Strengths
Extraverted: Naosu has no problem going up to people or doing things she wants to do. Shy isn't a word that could likely ever be applied to her, and her boundless energy only seems to double when around others. It seems as if she could stay awake for days from simply being social.
Spontaneous: She much prefers doing things on the fly, since it's way more exciting than knowing what's going to happen and how. That's not to say she would never make plans with others, or help to prepare. It's more that she prefers when even things that are planned have room for change and randomness.
Playful: Life is way too short to spend time being serious all the time! She always makes time to have fun in her day, from playing a quick game of tag, to a random crossword puzzle. All work and no play is just too dull! Come and have some fun!
Weaknesses
Impulsive: Sometimes her high energy works against her and she'll act before thinking, causing hurt feelings and misunderstandings. She's always quick to apologize when she realizes what she's done, but sometimes the apology comes too late and a friendship is ruined.
Scattered: She enjoys new things sometimes to the point where she never finishes anything. Starting new projects and then moving on before she's done, leading to the frustraton of others and making her seem irresponsible.
Stubborn: Some people and things are better left alone, but she doesn't always consider that and will keep persisting long after she should have given up. She means no malice to anyone, but that doesn't mean that everyone appreciates her efforts.
Likes: Making friends, making others happy, snuggling
Dislikes: Being rejected, monotony, failure
Hobbies
Reading: For all her hyper energy and seeming to run on sunstone alone, Naosu can appreciate quiet time too and likes to curl up with a good book of whatever's caught her fancy at that time. She can stay like this for hours and devour an entire book on a weekend, to the point she might even forget about meeting with friends if she doesn't set an alarm to jolt her out of the text.
Sewing: It's not something she would ever do for a living, but sometimes she makes little things like patches and stuffed toys from templates to give away to the freshlings at the Academy or donate to the orphanage.
Offering free hugs: Spreading love and affection is totally a hobby when you do it on a regular basis. If there's anyone who would be out on campus with a 'free hugs here!' sign, it would be her.

Naosu squeaked in delight when she opened the care package box her family had sent her, finding a whole bunch of books piled on top. She unpacked them first, but left the snacks she discovered underneath in the box and looked over the books, sitting down on the floor to arrange them in front of her. They were old, well loved. Books from younger years, and below her reading level now, but books she had consistently refused to get rid of. She supposed her parents had decided if their daughter wouldn't let them get rid of the books, that they would just send them to her. Well, that worked out fine for her!
There was one book in particular, titled Friendship Means Forever, that sparked an odd aversion in her. She couldn't remember why, but she found she didn't really want to look at or touch it. This then was exactly what she had to do. If she didn't like this book, then why had she kept it?
Reaching out to pick it up, she opened the front cover, and found words she must have subconsciously known were there. 'For my best of friends!' The words were written in a child's hand. 'Friendship means forever!' Followed by a lot of hearts surrounding the nickname 'Koi'.
"Ah." Naosu intoned sadly and touched the hearts fondly even as her vision blurred with tears. Her friend Koi, or Sora, had given her this book to symbolize their friendship. They had been a lot alike then, but then one day it was like she was suddenly a completely different person and Sora acted as if she was ashamed to be seen with Naosu, avoiding her, snapping at her. Telling her to 'grow up' and 'act her age'. Even now the memories brought up strong emotions of confusion and hurt and Naosu wondered again if she had done something to cause the abrupt change, if she had hurt her friend and Sora had simply never told her what Naosu had done.
She closed the book and her eyes, bowing her head and knowing why she could never throw this book out. It was a reminder that people can change suddenly, and it was a mystery that needed to be solved. Naosu did know one thing though; the title was a lie. No friendship lasts forever. That though just meant she had to make the best of them while they existed.

Maybe get a reference for her hair style? Also, maybe a hex code for the shade of violet that you'd like for her eyes? Otherwise, she sounds like a cutie!

I've added a visual reference for the kind of braid I meant, and found a hexcolor chart to get her precise eye color for you. I wasn't sure if you meant use the custom form or something else, so I did the former. I hope it helps clear that up. I tried elaborating on her backstory and the other stuff you asked for more details on and I changed academy to university. That was my flub. sweatdrop Elaborated more on what I meant by tactile. I wasn't sure how to express quiet time more than I already had, but I tried to detail more how much she can enjoy reading and I changed to a different prompt to also try showing what she's like when she isn't happy. Oh! And shoes! I realized she kinds of needs those.
