Yī was still getting used to her super hero persona.

Numerous facts about her powered life were still up to her own speculation; her team had taught her the basics but nothing had proved to be more helpful than actually going out and discovering things herself. She asked questions, did her duty to the city and did all she could to develop her skills and become more useful.

A whole new world had been opened up to her. a world that had existed every night out of sight of civilians, a world that she was never even aware of before. A world full of monsters, powered beings, aliens, portals and magic.A fantasy world were she could henshin and summon glowing stones that fed on peoples souls.

How cool was that?

The novelty would never ware off; becoming a magic girl was the single greatest thing to ever happen to her. It might be painful; she might be on four hours sleep a night - but it was so worth it. To be able to run faster, jump higher, hit harder. Who would turn this down?

Today the Kistune-esque senshi was on patrol but she was currently taking a break. Zhou Yī was sat on a swing in the park. A box of doughnuts rested on her lap as she rocked herself back and forth, bright pink frosting smeared across her lips.

She had a sweet tooth; anyone who knew her civilian self knew that.

Gwen was, to be honest, still unsure about this whole Knight thing but she was trying to take it in stride. Nothing of interest had happened thus far and, at most she lost a few hours of sleep a night, nothing she wasn't able to deal with. So far the whole going on patrol thing was very boring actually. She was starting to wonder why such a thing was even needed, but, she did it.

So, Hy-Brasil had set off on a patrol. She had yet to settle into a set area and instead tended to float around the city each time. It was a good way for her to learn the city's layout and where certain things were. So, that was at least one perk to this whole magical girl experience, and so far, really, the only one in her mind. The rapture of having magic and able to do things the normal person couldn't didn't really do much for her.

Choosing to venture into greenery, Hy-Brasil found herself at the park. The only lights were the ones that lined the path ways and a few of the playgrounds that were scattered about the massive park. Otherwise the dark of the night enveloped everything else. It was refreshing from the constant glow of the lights of the city, and Hy-Brasil reveled in the fact that she could see stars high above. It was a pretty sight for sure.

A movement out of the corner of her eye drew her attention. "Who could possibly be out at this time?" After all it wasn't early. Well...that would depend on one's take on early she supposed. It was an hour that no normal person would be out and about, at least not in winter. So, she headed towards the dimly lit playground.

As she neared it was obvious that whomever was occupying the swing was not someone 'normal'. The clothes alone were a big indicator for that, but Hy-Brasil had no idea who it was nor if it was someone friendly. She had so little interaction with others on her patrols she never really knew who was friend or foe. And her aura sensing wasn't something she completely understood yet. None-the-less she stepped into the orange light that the streetlight gave and rounded to the front of the swing sets.

Immediately she quirked an eyebrow at the box of donuts positioned in the girls lap and a part of her instantly assumed that whomever this was was probably not be an enemy. Hy-Brasil couldn't fathom the idea of a bad guy sitting on a swing and enjoying a box full of donuts, and pink frosted ones at that. "You have frosting all over." She noted with a smile and pointed to her own lips as an indicator.

Then there was a disturbance in the force.

Yi's blue eyes looked towards the other girl who had made her presence known; the senshi tilted her head curiously to the side and blinked. This girl did not have that off feel about her, the feeling that came when she was near an officer, though she did not feel like a Senshi either. How strange? Yi did not like it one bit.

Raising an eyebrow she ran her sleeve over her lips and jumped up from the swing - placing the doughnuts on the seat behind her. Her smile was sweet and she nodded towards the girl in greeting, despite her distrust.

"Hey - Your aura is all weird. Your are a good guy though, right?" She asked, off feeling or not, she was not about to be jumped by someone. Yi placed her hands behind her back and clenched her fist to summon her attack if need be.

She was not stupid, she had been taken advantage of one too many times not to be cautious.

"Your not like any senshi I have ever seen..."
PostPosted: Sun Feb 21, 2016 7:28 pm

"Well, I think I am. I guess it depends on your stance in this war or whatever is going on." She eyed the girl carefully, not really sure what she was looking at herself. Standing so close she got the feeling that this girl wasn't bad, just different from herself. Well I should be happy that I didn't just waltz right up to an enemy, I guess.

She had so much to learn about and being on her patrols, as infrequent as they were right now, proved that to her. Maybe she should go out more, but she coveted sleep too much and frankly wasn't devoted to this whole business.

Brushing hair behind her ears, Hy-Brasil shrugged. "That's because I am not a senshi." She paused for a moment, trying to remember where she had heard that term before. "Ah! That's right Camelot mentioned senshi. I guess that's what you are?" She questioned. "I am a Page of Earth, Hy-Brasil." She walked over and held out a hand to the senshi in greeting.

"I am new to this whole business and frankly know very little of what's going on, who is who, and why all of this is so utterly important." She sighed. "It's still so strange to think a covert war has been going on in the city and I knew nothing about it until recently."

"If you say so; all seems pretty clear cut to me though." Zhou Yi was very clear in which side she stood with; though many amongst order argued about the grey, to her the world was painted in black and white. Chaos hurt people; chaos used people and there was no question that they had to be stopped. Zhou Yi had sworn she would fight to do just that; after all, it was her Destiny, it was why she was awakened in the first place.

It was the very reason why there was even senshi on Earth.

Cyan eyes ran the woman up and down before resting on her hand. The senshi reached out and shook it; still curious about her sudden company. "A Page? Hmmm." She would have to make sure to ask one of her team mates about that one; the redhead knew there was still many things she was not completely clued in on, so for now she would give the Page the benefit of the doubt.

Luckily enough she did not seem to be the only one who was knew to these shenanigans; going by the other woman's words.

"We did know about it though; organ harvesting rings, missing people, monsters, abductions, murders, terrorist attacks. We were just missing pieces of the puzzle." To say the media never shut up about the horrible events that had tainted the city over the years; it was surprising that not one of them had stumbled across the truth. It shocked her now closed her eyes were; how unaware her friends and family still were.

Turning around the redhead picked the box off of the seat; and offered some of the sweet goodness inside to her companion. "Heeey. It is not often I met someone more out of the loop than me; Well, I am Zhou Yi, Senshi of the Sesshoseki and it is my duty to hunt down bad guys, ie, the creeps who go around sucking peoples energy like vampires." It was simplistic thinking, a very basic idea about what she did.

"I guess it is important; because it is our Destiny you know? There are a lot of people out there who can not defend themselves, if we do not use this power to fight - well, that just seems selfish to me.

I do not want anyone to get hurt; not if I can prevent it."

"Well, considering I'am....fairly new yet to the city, I've missed quite a few of those media stories." Well, in truth, she wasn't -terribly- new to DC but she had yet to reach the year mark. That wouldn't roll around until July, so in her mind she was still a newcomer to this strange city. Sure, she had heard strange stories, but hadn't thought much on them considering she was hailing from the Big Apple. She certainly wasn't one to judge DC on their stories and had never thought much on them. "But I can see what you mean if I think back on some of the stuff I've heard. Still, being in the thick of things is much different.

At the offer of donuts, Hy-Brasil raised a hand and shook her head gently. "Thanks, but I'll pass. It's nice to meet you Zhou Yi." She smiled, genuinely happy to meet someone else, especially one of the senshi characters she had heard about.

She leaned against one of the support poles of the swing set, arms crossed just under her chest as she studied Zhou. The red and white fuku was quite the statement but it was the large abundance of tails that really caught her attention. Curious, indeed. She vaguely wondered if the attachments were cumbersome or not cause they sure as hell looked like they'd get in the way. "Hm, well, yes. I suppose that's one good thing about this." She gestured at herself, indicating her outfit and powered self. "I've been on the receiving end of an attack before I knew about this war going on. It was scary and not something I'd like to see others go through so lending help is something I could get on board with. Still, I don't particularly have a death wish in all of this either." And the way this senshi was talking, Gwen wasn't sure if the girl really understood the concept of a war. Unexperienced or not, Hy-Brasil knew that people were severly injured and died in these things.

"So, how long have you been at all of this?"

"Some welcoming party, huh? I have lived here my entire life; I can promise you it was not always like this - though it is becoming harder to remember a time like that." Normality had been shattered a long time ago; she was barely a teenager when the events of Barren Pines opened the cities eyes to just how dark things had become. These days bad news did not even seem to phase people any more; the shock and horror they once exhibited when a terrorist attack happened was now met with a sigh and a shake of the head. Another person dead, just another casualty.

The people of Destiny City lived in a war zone, but life continued on like nothing was happening. Life would carry on, despite the situation they found themselves.

Zhou Yi sat back on the swing, and laughed at the girls statement. "Nobody wants to die." She shook her head; the conversation had taken quote a morbid turn - it was not a thought that Zhou Yi liked put much effort into.

"I try not to think about it too much - people risk their lives every day, people who fight in the armed forces and emergency service. After a while it will just feel like another day at the office. I mean, I am not staying it is the same, I know it's not, but at the same time I think that worrying too much can get you killed. You just need to play it cool and not let your emotions get the better of you, think of the good you are doing instead, remember the faces of the people you have helped." That was her philosophy anyway; cyan eyes looked up at the stars in the sky and she sighed.

She knew there was still a lot she needed to learn; but for now she was happy with her mindset. Things were going to change, things were going to get a lot harder - but she was willing to take everything a day at a time. What else could she do? Causing herself anxiety by over thinking everything would not do her any good. "Besides; we are going to win this. I know we are!" She smiled, no twinge of doubt stained her words, the redhead truly believed that statement.

She crumbled up a doughnut in her hands before she threw the pieces on the floor for the pigeons that soon came to collect the crumbs, she knew she would have to get back to her patrol soon. "A few weeks at most, it feels like a lot longer though. How about you?"

It was easy, too easy, to fall into this position.

The power of the Negaverse; the strength of it was exactly what Wolfeite wanted, what he craved. There was little point in denying himself the luxuries of all that it could give him, and he found himself greedy for more, hungry for the benefits, the intensity, everything.

Labyrinthite had given him a gift. And now he knew that he was capable of much, much more.

The guise of Wolfeite was far more exhilarating than Archer Wren had ever been. He slipped into the uniform more often than not, burning for the rush of power and of a sense of complete and total control. As Wolfeite, he could do as he pleased.

He certainly intended to do so now, with the two Order figures that he sensed just up ahead.

Wolfeite's shoes crunched on a frosted leaf; he made no point in hiding himself or trying to sneak up on them. The power signature would give him away anyway, and he thought it perfectly acceptable to simply approach them now, a slight breeze teasing his hair out of his eyes.

"Good evening," he said in a low voice that was partially muffled by the kerchief he wore around his face.

She'd been drawn by the subtle pulse of energy signatures, two white moon and one that felt like her own. Normally, Marcasite preferred to wander around alone, at least while she was still getting the hang of things, if Xenotime hadn't scooped her up for patrol or training or general time hogging.

But she was curious and couldn't deny the tugging in her chest that spurred her forward, made her long legs carry her into the playground, frost crunching beneath her heels. It seemed childish, juvenile to be wandering through it, but she'd seen the girls with their ginger hair and then - a man she did not recognize, but felt familiar.

He was predatory, on the prowl, which mean that naturally Marcasite adapted herself from the relaxed, easy-going posturing to something more primal, even with the way her lips curled into a darker grin.

"My, my," she cooed, fiddling with her white gloves. "Looks like someone's throwing a tea party and forgot to invite us, that's just rude."

Another day in the office? Well that was an interesting way to look at it. Not that she ever felt like she was putting her own life on the line while working in an office. Not that she had any experience working in an office, but still. It was a mundane enough a job. Everyone seemed to survive their 9 to 5 jobs even if some seemed a bit soulless. No, it was a bad analogy.

“I can’t say I’ve done any good so far, unless you mean letting my roommate have the run of the apartment for the nights I am out.”

She sighed and closed her to think for a moment before answering the girls question. “I guess it’s about 2 weeks now since I’ve awoken.”

That was when she heard the first voice and eyes snapped open and in the direction it had come from. Being so new to the scene she was not at all use to keeping track of signatures, but now as she stood there she could feel that this person was...odd? No, dark. There was something dark and wrong about the signature that made the hair on the back of her neck rise slightly.

And another voice caught her attention along with another similar wrong signature. Brows furrowed as she turned her attention to the girl who had also decided to join the ‘party’.

She’d never encountered a nega officer, not since awakening, but Hy-Brasil recognized the military-esque uniforms that both doned. Sure they weren’t the same as her attackers had been during the summer, but after Camelot’s description she was pretty damn sure these two were not here to share donuts and talk.

“No invitation, no admittance.” She said as she pushed away from the pole she’d been leaning against, arms unfurling from her chest.

Zhou Yi remained silent, as not one but two powered auras came to be in their presence, one of which she had been unfortunate enough to run into previously. Her lips were a hard line as cold, cyan eyes drifted to look at them. Her demeanour changed, her body language changed as if a switch had just been turned off. She was not going to have this be a repeat of last time, this couldn't be a repeat of last time. Her attention then went back to the Page who was showing the same cockiness that Zhou Yi might have exhibited a couple of days a go. A lot could change in a short period of time, it seemed.

The redhead stood up from the swing and took her place next to the Page; long fabric swaying in the chilly wind that encircled the playground and rustled the leaves on the trees. Metal play equipment creaked and strained, old and rusting. Man, these places could be damn creepy at times. Yi remained silent, Wolfeite was a handful on his own and not one to be underestimated, the fact there was an unknown component to his team was just downright unsettling. If they both were cut from the same cloth, hell they were in trouble.

Zhou Yi looked to the knight and thought for a moment, with any luck this girl would have abilities that were more useful than her own. The Senshi of the Sesshoseki had energy draining abilities that immobilised for a time, if the page could take advantage of that and use it for offence then they might stand a chance. It was not like they had any time to think about it or an option to back away, ship was well and truly about to hit the fan. "I have fought him before, you take the girl." She did not mean to take charge, but she was worried about Hy-Brasil - she did not want her to suffer at the hands of Wolfeite like she had done previously.

Though she did not want to underestimate Marcasite either, she seemed like the kinder option. Or at least Zhou Yi hoped so. It would be different this time, no messing around. The maiko senshi darted forward, clenching her hand in a fist before light seeped through her fingers. On release small stones were sent flying in the direction of the black haired Lieutenant. She was not going to give him room to breathe or time to think. Not this time.

"Enerugī Nusumu Ishi"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sailor Scout Attack: Enerugī Nusumu Ishi | エネルギー盗む石 | Energy Stealing Stone

Sailor Zhou calls out her attack name and closes her hand into a fist. When she opens her palm it is revealed that small, glowing, marble sized stones have materialised (*Note these stones are magic and disintegrate after the attack ends). She throws these stones at his opponent and the stones manoeuvre to form a circle around them - a magical rope chain connects them to complete the circle.

The stones glow brighter as they drain the energy from their captor. This attack lasts for only a few seconds before the stones have taken their fill and fall lifelessly to the ground before dematerializing. This attack will leave the victim feeling like they have just ran vigorously for a few minutes ie, they will be out of breath and fatigued - They will need a moment to catch their breathe before they can continue the battle. Zhou can use this attack twice per battle.

The presence of another Negaverse agent both annoyed and amused Wolfeite, though none of this showed on his face, most of it hidden behind the mask anyway. His dark eyes flickered towards the pale haired woman, giving her a slight nod before they slid back to the object he'd come for.

The starseeds. Two of them, he knew, hidden within the cavity in the White Moon chests, and he wanted them.

He recognized one of them, and it made him pleased. Her countenance was the same as it had been last time, pathetically self-righteous and ridiculously offended at his apparent lack of respect for life that meant nothing to him. Wolfeite watched the tension in her shoulders, the old expression on her face.

"What children," he said, but before he'd even started forward, he felt the fizzle of magic, the slow drain of energy. Wolfeite staggered, his body trembling, and a wash of dizziness had come over him, a snarl passing through his lips, angry and feral sounding. <******** Order and their ******** magic," he hissed, stumbling as he tried to regain his balance one more, his chest heaving for breath. "You hide behind that because you have nothing else to offer."

And he lunged, pushing past the weary feeling in his bones, not for the senshi -

- but for the page, Wolfeite's fist swinging towards her stomach.

Oh, the girls thought they were cute with their somewhat witty retorts and quick leaps into action. It made Marcasite tip her head back and laugh, loud and bright until it echoed through the park.

"So we're crashing a private party? Even better," she cooed, seeming very pleased about this. She'd been on the job for a bit now and hadn't seen much action outside of an altercation with a child so this was exciting.

The little senshi moved quick, going straight for her fellow lieutenant and she was about to lunge at the page, weapon remaining unsummoned because what was she supposed to do with a fake mustache?

But the whole fight veered to the left and Wolfeite was attacking Hy-Brasil instead of Zhou-Yi which, frankly, left Marcasite stumbling in her steps as she adjusted her target and movement.

"Hey foxy, let's play!" She chirped, tossing the redhead a wink before she lunged at her.

Whoa. Fight? What the hell? Hy-Brasil knew that these two weren’t friends but she didn’t think that the encounter would escalate so quickly. And escalate it did! Before she knew it, Zhou was suggesting that Hy take the guy and people sprung into action. Though, as true to all battles, nothing went to plan and Hy found herself face to face with Wolfeite and barely moved from her spot.

The first collided with her mid section and forced the air from her with an audible ‘omph’. She staggered back from the blow, hand over her stomach as she looked up at Wolfeite through red locks sucking in air.

This was the part she had told Camelot she wasn’t suited for. Fighting was not her forte. Could she defend herself? Yea, sure. She learned a few things in a self defense class but nothing that would probably be terribly important in an actual fight. The problem was, with the predicament they were in, Hy-Brasil really had no choice but to do something...to fight.

So, balling her fists the page went after the agent with as much gusto as she could. Instead of throwing a predictable punch though, Hy opted for what she figured would be the most powerful part of her and kicked out at Wolfeite, aiming for his right know in particular. If she could keep him from chasing her around by injuring him there, maybe she’d be able to end the fight quickly? Surely no one would want to keep fighting if they couldn’t walk?

"And what exactly do you have to offer?" Zhou spat out the words with venom.

The black haired boy had nothing to offer the human race as far as she could tell; the scene that she witnessed a few days ago in the park still haunted her. Knowing it was done by his hands, his will, had sparked something dark in her. A mixture of hatred and anger that she thought she was not capable of.

The stumbled and cursed as he did exactly what she did not want him to do, he was going for Hy and the kistune-esque senshi felt a shiver run down her spine at the thought. Before she could follow after him to defend her friend she was set upon by the girl with white hair. "Goddamn it." She cursed, not in the playful mood at all. She was too concerned with the other girls well-being and it distracted her, leaving her open to the attack.

Even though the red head was sick of getting rescued, she could not risk the Page's life for her own pride. The officers lunge landed, but she used the backwards momentum to put some distance between herself and the girl with the moustache. One of her hands was holding her cheek where the hit had connected, the other very quickly hit the emergency app on her senshi phone. She took her hand away, her face already visibly read from the impact.

Help was, hopefully, on the way.

"Fine, but I ain't playing. I am sick of letting you guys off easy." She grunted, jumping foward and aiming a kick towards the female officers stomach.
