Caution: All Characters on this island are isolated on this island, unable to canonly interact with anyone from the Mainland/other islands. Because of this, eventually some inbreeding will occur. If you are uncomfortable with soquili or Familiars that are even distantly related to one another much less first cousins, please do not venture further.
They are part of a group Genetic experiment as well as an anthropological exercise and are in no way meant to be used to make people uncomfortable, so this is your warning to avoid Reading onward if it makes you uncomfortable.
Please note: Some of the familiars (not Goats or wolves) CAN breed with outsiders and have their offspring show up on the island, but it wouldn't count in canon -- they'd have both, instead, bred with a doppelganger with similar looking genetic backgrounds in their locations with fewer children than the total (or one didn't breed at all and one bred with the doppelganger and the whole set of offspring is born to their side of the canon).
Goats and Wolves can have Non-Canon Doppelbreedings with mainlanders (Since Familiars aren't as heavily monitored in family trees, so we're less likely to... Squick people out by introducing doppelgangers t them, we're allowing them, while the Moons are kept separate since we'd like to keep them out of the main bloodline of the shop out of respect.) But all kids are born mainland 100% of the time as to not effect the experiment.
Name: Moon (Mu'oon) Colorist: One Over Three Received Through: Credit Breed: Regular Stage: Adult Orientation: Pansexual/Genderblind Post Color: [#71a0d3] Date of Discovery: 12/13/15 Parents: Unknown Siblings: None Offspring: NONE
Information Having seemingly washed ashore of the southern beach of Utyoli Island with the other unrelated Moon-like foals in their baskets, the four foals were curious but unsure of what to do at first. Sniffing each other they were unfamiliar to one another, clearly not family, Food was scarce, the water too salty to drink, and the rocky cliffs above them were too steep to scale. While the foals themselves were friendly toward one another, the world itself was unfriendly in the light of day. But soon the sun set and the moon rose, its silvery early light lighting up the rocky path hidden by some bushes, the suns angle having put it in shadow and seemingly just sheer cliff wall, but now, by the light of this familiar friendly face of the light of the gibbous moon, the narrow path was clear.
They followed the rough path to the top of the mountainous ridge of the crater island, and down toward some slopes, too steep to walk up but easily slid down in safety, into a beautiful and lush inner part of the island, surrounded in a circle of mountains like a round moon, the only word that all of them seemed to know for some reason.
Now an adult, Moon is expressive and Chatty... Which, with the limited language of the soquili of the island in the currently means he mostly babbles compared to his more Song-like fellows without them grasping everything he is 'saying'. However, like the others, it is songlike and dominated with sounds similar to Moon, most of what he says stated by tone and body language, but he does enjoy trying to name things, so he would end up teaching his kids his language as well as the more commonly used Moonsong.
Moonsong
The Standard language of the Moons (The first four children), Moonsong is primarily the word "Moon" and similar sounds with the occasional b mixed in, meaning mostly implied by tone, pronunciation, expression, gesticulation, and body language. It is the language all of the Moons speak.
Aab un Aab un Is Mu'oon's private language that he uses to try and separate things by sounds due to his basket having been talked to. It is still simple, with a clear root in Moonsong, but filled with more babbling noises, such as aah, daa, dee, nas, as well as horses noises and random noises/languages he hears in the jungle, often calling things from the first or most common sound he hears them make.
Beliefs of Origin of the founding Four Moon, unable to express his beliefs and compare them to the beliefs of the others due to the simple language of Moonspeak (And Aab Un being only truly spoken by him at the time) and thus unable to compare his beliefs with the other four founders of the island soquili, believes that the soquili on the island were spun by the different phases of the moon -- Namely the Waxing and Waning Quarter and Gibbous, as well as the Full Moon, and that each phase of the moon is a different god or goddess... But part of the same whole as well, creating one great spirit. Being made of different phases is why the four were all unrelated despite being created by the Moon.
Mares tend to be closer to the Full Moon, and Males are closer to the new, but due to their own glowing forms, it was clear the stallions were made in either Quarter or Gibbous moons rather than new, young/old, or crescent, while mares were made in Gibbous or full moons -- (Phails) Moon was the first mare to become pregnant, thus she was clearly made by the full moon, and since mares could get pregnant, they clearly had to be rounder than stallions!
Other Statistics • Pronounced Mu'oon, with a short but distinct pause at the '. • While it was easy getting up, once he got a full view of the area from the top of the mountain ridge as a foal, he found himself not really liking it that much -- seeing nothing but endless sea for miles save for the distant mountains on the other side of the Crater island with a hint of ocean beyond that. The endless nothing of that salty, unwelcoming expanse where nothing else exists. Their island is the entire world, floating in an expanse of nothing. • Doesn't mind the sun what so ever, though he does prefer to be nocturnal so he can moon watch. • Often names animals by the first important sounding noise or most common noise he hears them make. Because of this, sometimes a species is named after the first one that introduces themselves, sometimes after a common call. Much like whippoorwill's are named for their cries.

A -shrinking- population
Not specifically for him, but I plan on developing a bit of Insular Dwarfism with my Soquili from the breeding, so I would love it if I found like minded individuals hoping to make at least some of the horses of the island at least a little shorter. This is his starting size -- average size for a male Regular Soquili

Two Regulars on Mainland who lived close to shore who are now missing a single basket.. They spoke frequently to their baskets, which is why he's so chatty compared to the others.

About
Arr'ooak is a hunter and a warrior who came in from a hunt of some capybara to find her pack under attack by the Yahn Weya Goat herd. As part of the final wave, she was fresh from a simple hunt and came with members of the Meatcutter Parrot flock, who quickly went to gather numbers to help their wolf friends fight back..
The fight was long, brutal, and bloody, but the tides quickly turned in the wolves favor and all attackers were wiped out. Unfortunately, however, it came too late, and they had nearly wiped out the goats that they hunted to supplement their diet.

About
Since before the war, Quakari was one of the lorekeepers of the Ra'kari. A compelling storyteller and cave painter, she had been deep in the caves, recording the past years important events on the cave walls of storyhowl cavern when the Yahn Weya attacked. She was unaware of the horrors outside until one of the other survivors, a colorful young pup, not even fully grown by the name of Raktek, ran in to escape from the horrors by the command of her mother, told to find the Storywolf hide with her so that they would both be safe.
Unable to join the battle, she took the wolf pup to a small hidden cave, the entrance too shallow for the goats to scramble under and not be killed by the wolves, blowing out the oil lamps in the cave before they went, slowly blowing each lamp out one by one as they traveled so darkness followed to till their hiding place. Once in the small cave, the two huddled in the darkness, curled together for warmth. The small chamber was used as a place to store food, and occasionally they snuck out for a few laps of fresh water from the nearby underground lake and refilling their water flasks before sneaking back into their hidey hole by scent alone.
After four days of complete darkness, the oil lamp Quakari lit with a spark of flint and pyrite hurt their eyes. Placing it into a container, she told Raktek to stay hidden as she went to check on the others.
Venturing toward the entrance of the cave, the storykeeper quickly found herself pinned by Arr'ooak, a surviving warrior who had gone in to see if any stray goats remained and spotted the spiral set of horns before recognizing their owner in the edgy state she was in.
After the war, Quakari the storyteller had the long and sorrowful task of adding the death of hundreds of Ra'kari Wolves and Even more Yahn Weya goats to the walls of Storyhowl cavern. She could no longer afford to just be a storyteller now, and has since learned how to fight, how to farm, and how to tend toward their raised animals. While her profession means she does not get sent out on hunts -- they are too dangerous for their history keepers to go out and do -- but now she must do more than paint their history and sing stories.

About
Born from a one pup breeding, Raktek had always been a bit of a handful. The morning of the first attack of the Yahn Weya x Ra'kari war, Raktek had been out with her mother, having been taken out of her class and was being brought back home because she had gotten in a fight with another wolf cub and given him a bloody nose over some name calling.
Unfortunately, as they neared home, the howls of the first attack reached them. Then others. Realizing what was happening, Raktek's mother, Aarin, quickly took her daughter up in her mouth and ran toward the entrance of storyhowl cavern, telling her daughter to find Quakari the story teller who she knew was in there, then, as her daughter ran off in fear into the cave, she knocked over some stacked branches and sticks to cover the cave entrance, hiding it best she could in the most natural manor possible, before running toward the fray to guard the entrance.
The next time Raktek saw her mother, she had been gored to death by one of the massive rams, the young pup having broken away from her guardians to look for her and having to be physically pulled away from her. None of her family had survived.
Growing up, Raktek had issues dealing with death, only able to eat prepared meats without getting sick. Because of this, she tends the farms and cares for the living animals. Though better now, she still has issues taking a life herself or watching it happen. She is also terrified of the dark, always keeping at least a simple lantern or a cage of fireflies in her den at night..

About Before the war, Kaybok was a simple "Dendigger", what the Ra'Kari call Dwelling builders. Making Earthen Huts and rounded leather wigwams for different families to live in under the apprenticeship of another wolf, when the goats attacked, he had been doing the grunt work of carving out more space in an earthen den near the cliffside, his boss standing watch. They were where the first strike happened, rocks crashing down on his boss and blocking his only way of escape.
Kaybok spent three days trapped in the dark den the faint crack in the entryway allowing for fresh air as he survived on a mostly spent leather water flask and a salted meat snack that had been left over from his lunch the first day in the wolf-dug cave, trying to nurse his injured boss dragged to health, and listened in horror to the battle overhead. On the fourth day he was discovered by the survivors, returning their calls horsely and begging for help, thirsty and eager for fresh air, unaware of just how bad everything was.
The next few days were a blur -- he was shaken and covered in blood from trying to save his injured companion, and they were rushed to the heart of the pack, away from the cliffs to the Fossilized Whale Bone Chieftains dwelling, now abandoned with their chief dead, to be tended to and nursed back to health. His companion did not make it despite his best efforts.
Now, this once lowly apprentice den-digger is one of five males left in the pack from before the attack, and treated almost like royalty because of it, all the finery he could want from what was left behind by those who did not survive, but unable to go anywhere beyond the inner most heart of the pack, under constant guard to prevent assassination.
Most day's he misses being a Den-digger...
At least the perks are nice.

About
A strong and powerful warrior, Raa was originally slated to go to war with the rest of the tribe. However, he was then chosen to stay at home and protect the pregnant mothers and the children that were being left behind with the nannies along side the fathers of the children. After the war, their numbers dwindled until there were only ten of them as the pregnant mothers -- a nanny he shared affection with named Steve along with her preferred partner of Adam, and the Leaders widowed mate Ayla.
While no leader, he helps protect their tribe's remaining members, and has on more than one occasion risked his own life to save the life of another on the dangerous crags, sometimes catching plummeting kids and slowing their fall so they didn't die after a miss step. Every member that did not survive under his watch weighs heavy on his heart. But now, with the tribe stabilizing, he's not alone and more will survive....
He hopes.
Trivia
Was originally glad to have been left behind since then he could spend more time with Steve and Adam, since while they were mostly sure the kids were Adam's there WAS a slight chance they were Raa's... Now he suffers survivors guilt since he was supposed to be fighting along with the others. Extremely protective of the remainders of the Tribe. Every individual who died after the war also weighs heavily on his head like an extra set of horns.
