Kondo Isami, a ronin, enters the empty bar.
he's filthy, it's ovious he's not had a bath in several weeks,
his yukata is cut open on the left hand side, and under his right arm was a thick wooden branch he used to prop himself up as forced himself through the door.
As he entered the light struck his eyes and he was forced to close his eyes and hide them behind his over sized "hat" made out of what looked like the weeds that grow by the local river.
he stumbles to the bar and sit carefully on a stool, making sure to keep his weight on his right side and waits patiently for the bar man to come over to him.

as he drank his water he thought of his past life. He tried to forget as much as he could about his life, before he "ended his life."
he recalled his entire squad of police officers dieing infront of him and his kugamusha slain, beheaded and shown off as a "trophy" of the new government, he killed his humanity and walked and, empty shell, the shame he felt eating at him constantly.
the only reason he survived was to be strong. he refused to die before he was at least as strong as his formar enemy "Serizawa Kamo"
through his 100+yr life he had learned many skills and techniques, which he had copied by fighting many strong men and watchin fights on the street.
he had learned to read the aura of a man by looking at him, the man who had just walked in was strong... very strong.
this mans cocky and aggresive attitude reminded him of one of his old "soldiers" in the shinsengumi.
he felt a shred of humanity enter his soul as he remembered the past.
he fell of the stool and still carrying his half empty glass of water he struggled to the mysterious man. he sat beside him and placed his glass on the table and just closed his eyes and thought about how he did this with sanosuke, soji and saito after a great battle.
although he was feeling the best he had done in decades he still could not bring himself to smile or speak.

he looked up at the bottle sat infront of him and wasnt sure whether to drink it he had lost alot of blood he would become drunk easily.
i was abushed, three armed men attacked me on a bridge north of here.
"can i ask your name"
he could only think of him as sano his old "friend" an equal to Kondo only when using a spear and later in life a zanbatou,
he remembered the nick name given to him that only sano had called him.
"neko_pai" he was given this name after leaving the bath house and being caught with no top on.
"call me "neko_pai"
still unable to smile he watched this man eager to find out his name.

shocked at his final words,
"through with your brother?!" what do you mean,"
he reached for the bottle standing on the table in front of him, he quickly changed his mind and sat back down cluching his waist.
"its only a flesh wound, and a couple broken ribs, i'll be fine after a good rest!"
the morre he watched "dante" the more he thought if sano. his old life flooding back to him, he sat eager to hear dante talk more

Kondo nods, fully aware of the pain of fighting your own family. he finally decides to have that beer and after scanning the table realises that dante has taken it. he calls on waiter and ask for two bottles of warm sake,
"try this it will hit you harder than the beer."
he had spent his time listening to dante healing himself and felt he was well enough to drink.
as he waited for the waiter to bring the sake opened his yukata, his body was covered in scars, his left side fresh with blood was now no less than a long, thin scar as he brushed of the dry blood.

"KAMPAI" Kondo shouts as he threa the bottle back, and although the alcohol went straight to his head the first thing he said was
"5 more bottles of sake!!"
he knew he used to be able to handle sake when he was younger but it had been years since he last drank. could he handle it?
he didnt care. he had almost recovered all his blood and could now feel himself becoming sober as he waited for the drink. The stronger he became the less he enjoyed life.
He looked at dante as the clanked bottles together and thought about fighting him. his blood had began to boil ever since he had sensed dante's strength. He knew that whatever happened he always ended up fighting, but he wished he might be able to become friends with him, but he knew they would eventually go seperate ways.

"Hmm, this place seems to have what I need", as she peeks in the door. She is looking for some place to blend in, not to be noticed. Its been a strange few days for her and she is not looking for any more drama. Even if there were someone to entertain her, to take her mind off her own life, she would stay, who knows how long.
