At Large Prompt 1
Can be used toward Battle req (or RP req only if done with a friend) Solo word minimum is 500, RP post minimum is 7
It was bound to happen eventually.
With rumors of great beasts roaming the shores of Yael, many mainlanders flocked across the sea to capture the exotic beasts. In no time at all, they returned with large scaled monsters, dangerously translucent serpents, and turtles that carried the earth. These traders traveled across the Mainland to parade the beasts, going from Matori to Zena and everywhere between. Soon enough, everyone had either seen the Yaeli beasts or at least heard of them.
And they were sure to hear about the beasts when they escaped.
With such little knowledge of the foreign creatures, the traders underestimated the animals. In no time at all, the Yaeli beasts escaped into the wilderness and ended up near your location. With new creatures all but knocking on your door, what do you do? Do you dare to try and tame them, or do you run them off back into the wilderness? You better hurry, because these creatures are lost and scared, and are sure to cause some damage before they are captured once more....
|| The Yaeli familiars have been spotted in the following locations: Tintural (Oba and Matori), Keldari (Jauhar/Chibale and Tale), Limbara (Sauti and Zena). Only individuals in set locations can encounter the specific familiars.
|| If you are located in Yael, respond to this prompt as if you witnessing a mainlander abducting one of the newly announced familiars. Do you step in or run away? Use the same rolls below, but instead of subduing the beast, you are rolling to test your success for freeing it.
This prompt will be resolved by each player rolling 1D100 to test their success. (You can only roll once - there are no reattempts!)
xxxxxStage 3 must roll 40-100 to successfully subdue the beast.
|| Success or fail, completion of this event rewards you with 15 EXP!
|| If you roll a 95-100, you get to keep the familiar! Congrats!

The run in that Makani had with the 'monster' known as a Limbara was one that could be described only as being 'exhausting' due to the magic that it required to corral the thing. The first idea that he'd tried was the earthen walls, like what he'd done with the escaped capramel a week or so back, but without much luck. The beast, whose energy was like nothing Makani had felt before, merely crashed through the barrier as though it were made of nothing. It was in that moment that he knew he was dealing with something much different then he'd been expecting. It was a true monster, one that really shouldn't have been dragged away from the island that had contained it. He'd heard the stories, chatted with people who'd had encounters with the beasts, and he'd learned that they weren't supposed to be here in Sauti. In fact they didn't belong on the mainland at all. He'd always suspected there had to be a reason that such creatures were born on that island and now he was certain that it was to keep them contained.
He felt a bit bad for those who lived in the same area as the Limbara, even if some of them were dangerous Alkidike zealots. The idea of living near to such powerful beasts wasn't something that he liked the idea of and he'd grown up where the Mammu roamed... but then again the Mammu seemed like puppies by comparison. At least in his mind.
The next spell cast was that of fire, with Makani conjuring up a wall of it between himself and the Limbara. Seeing that he was the one standing between the Limbara and home he was glad to have the fiery assistance since it seemed to at least give the Limbara pause. From there he cast a secondary spell, this one a wind spell, that caused a vortex to start swirling around the creature. It was able to do what the earthen barrier could do, that being to force the Limbara to stand still. The only problem was that the spell wasn't an easy one to keep going, especially with the fire wall still up. That was the first thing that he allowed to fall, leaving him only having to worry about the wind vortex, which gave him time to consider his options and what he meant to do next... though he was kind of drawing a blank. What to do with the creature now that he'd gotten it contained?
A moment after he found himself asking such a question he was suddenly being flanked by two rather large sized men, "That's enough there, magic slinger. If you kill it then you're going to have to pay for it." Words that instantly had Makani dropping the wind barrier. He had no idea what the going rate of a Limbara was but he'd wager that it wasn't something that he had access to.
"There you go. Good boy." One of the men said, patting Makani on the head before the pair went forward. Makani couldn't exactly make out what they were doing, his magic power running a little lower then he'd like, but from the sounds of it they were recapturing the beast? He wasn't sure what he thought about that. It meant that the thing was no longer a threat but it meant that the same people that lost it the first time had it again. Would they lose it again? It was likely he supposed, but he would pray to Chi that they kept it contained this time. Much to his surprise some coin was pressed into his hand, a 'reward' for his help, before the two big men were on their way, dragging their unhappy prize along with them. He didn't like it, but at least it wouldn't be running amok around the inn, right? Here was to hoping the rest would be caught as easily.
