It was bound to happen eventually.

With rumors of great beasts roaming the shores of Yael, many mainlanders flocked across the sea to capture the exotic beasts. In no time at all, they returned with large scaled monsters, dangerously translucent serpents, and turtles that carried the earth. These traders traveled across the Mainland to parade the beasts, going from Matori to Zena and everywhere between. Soon enough, everyone had either seen the Yaeli beasts or at least heard of them.

And they were sure to hear about the beasts when they escaped.

With such little knowledge of the foreign creatures, the traders underestimated the animals. In no time at all, the Yaeli beasts escaped into the wilderness and ended up near your location. With new creatures all but knocking on your door, what do you do? Do you dare to try and tame them, or do you run them off back into the wilderness? You better hurry, because these creatures are lost and scared, and are sure to cause some damage before they are captured once more....

|| The Yaeli familiars have been spotted in the following locations: Tintural (Oba and Matori), Keldari (Jauhar/Chibale and Tale), Limbara (Sauti and Zena). Only individuals in set locations can encounter the specific familiars.

|| If you are located in Yael, respond to this prompt as if you witnessing a mainlander abducting one of the newly announced familiars. Do you step in or run away? Use the same rolls below, but instead of subduing the beast, you are rolling to test your success for freeing it.


This prompt will be resolved by each player rolling 1D100 to test their success. (You can only roll once - there are no reattempts!)

"How bad could they be? She commented out loud to herself as she walked along a path outside of town. V'demhe had left her daughters with her mother and baby sister, the latter being a huge surprise to her in the grand scheme of things. However, she thought they would be safer there since there were rumors of beasts from Yael that had gotten loose from some merchants running around.

Dem had come across the tid bit of gossip while she was looking at some blades in the market. It was the central hub of information so she wasn't all that surprised when the whisperings of things started up. Though she had to admit she was rather curious about this particular piece of news.

Granted she had Maha and Tanou but she wanted to find something for her daughters as well and since Masika and Galene were exotic looking, even by Alkidike standards, she figured that giving them a familiar that was as different as they were would be perfect. Now the trick was... finding one. Not that she knew exactly what it was she was searching for. It could be one of three. One that looked like a large rock or one that resembled the Bushi with it's shell or the last that appeared to be some type of slithering creature with a rattle on it's tail end.

Honestly she couldn't say which one she hoped to run into and truthfully, before she could really give it much thought she took a misstep. V'demhe let out a yelp of pain as she felt something pierce through the flesh of her thigh. At first her mind thought she had stepped into a trap set by a hunter but as she looked down she saw that it wasn't anything man made. It was one of the beasts from Yael. "Argh!! Damn!" Dem let out a string of curses after.

So much for catching one. She thought to herself. With it's fangs buried in her leg she was sure she felt some type of venom being released. Great. That was just what she needed. The Alkidike grit her teeth together harshly as she reached down to pull the creature off her. It took some menuvering but she managed to work it free and toss it to the side. Already she could feel the effects of the poison working inside her body. It looked like rather than getting her daughters a pet she was going back empty handed and seeking out her mate so that she could get healed up.

Giving a whistle V'demhe called for her two radaku to come to her side. She'd need their support in the long run. Maha was her faithful boy and he was the first one to reach her, he was also the one that offered the most support to her. Tanou simply walked beside her but seemed hesitant to be leaned on. Dem smiled at her and gave a pat to her head before she motioned back toward the town. "Take me to Rainy, boy." The walk back was going to be agonizing.
