At Large Prompt 1
Solo word minimum is 500, RP post minimum is 7
It was bound to happen eventually.
With rumors of great beasts roaming the shores of Yael, many mainlanders flocked across the sea to capture the exotic beasts. In no time at all, they returned with large scaled monsters, dangerously translucent serpents, and turtles that carried the earth. These traders traveled across the Mainland to parade the beasts, going from Matori to Zena and everywhere between. Soon enough, everyone had either seen the Yaeli beasts or at least heard of them.
And they were sure to hear about the beasts when they escaped.
With such little knowledge of the foreign creatures, the traders underestimated the animals. In no time at all, the Yaeli beasts escaped into the wilderness and ended up near your location. With new creatures all but knocking on your door, what do you do? Do you dare to try and tame them, or do you run them off back into the wilderness? You better hurry, because these creatures are lost and scared, and are sure to cause some damage before they are captured once more....
|| The Yaeli familiars have been spotted in the following locations: Tintural (Oba and Matori), Keldari (Jauhar/Chibale and Tale), Limbara (Sauti and Zena). Only individuals in set locations can encounter the specific familiars.
|| If you are located in Yael, respond to this prompt as if you witnessing a mainlander abducting one of the newly announced familiars. Do you step in or run away? Use the same rolls below, but instead of subduing the beast, you are rolling to test your success for freeing it.
This prompt will be resolved by each player rolling 1D100 to test their success. (You can only roll once - there are no reattempts!)
xxxxxStage 2 must roll 50-100 to successfully subdue the beast.
|| Success or fail, completion of this event rewards you with 15 EXP!
|| If you roll a 95-100, you get to keep the familiar! Congrats!

It was that time again, time for Tera to sneak out of the house while his mother wasn't looking, so that he could stretch his legs and get a moment to himself. His pack had been packed with everything that he would need for his new trip. He wasn't sure how far he was going, maybe to the beach again to see about gathering more shells. He knew it likely wouldn't be as fun as when he hung out there with Gael, but still, the idea of gathering more shells sounded nice to Tera. Sure, the voice in the back of his head was doing nothing but complaining, talking about how Tera should be training in his magic instead of dilly-dallying, but that was a thought he was ignoring for now. He wanted to do something fun after being cooped up for so long!
Slipping out his window, pack slung over one shoulder, he started toward his destination of the beach... though it turned out that he wasn't going to get all that far. Instead he tripped over something, a rock that had never been in the yard before, and landed face first in a heap. To add insult to injury his heavy, book laden pack then proceeded to land on him. Tera laid there for a long moment, cataloging all of the various points of pain he was feeling, before sitting up right in a slow, stiff manner. That... wasn't fun, not at all. Giving a little grumbling sound he set to checking all the spots that hurt, finding that it was mostly bumps and bruises, save for his ankle which was hurting like crazy. It seemed that he'd twisted it on that damned rock!
Turning his head Tera gathered some magical power, intent upon sending the rock flying... only to find there was no rock. In fact there was nothing there, "H-Huh?" Tera couldn't help but to stare in complete confusion at the place where the guilty rock had once stood. Where did it go? Rocks didn't just vanish the voice in his head mocked him, making it seem as though he'd just tripped over nothing. That wasn't the case though! Tera knew that the culprit had been a rock... it was just a mobile rock or something! Tripping over nothing didn't result in injuries meaning that something had to be to blame other then him.
Turning over so that he was sitting on his back side, careful not to tweak his ankle further, he scanned the area. It was odd, the fact that he needed to actually seek out a rock. Who'd ever heard of rocks just wandering off? After a moment he caught the tail end of what appeared like a baby bushi maybe? He wasn't certain, he'd never seen a bushi growing its own garden before, but he wasn't exactly in a condition to investigate. Instead he set his pack aside and set to gathering magical power. If he was planning on going anywhere he would need to heal himself first, quickly so that he wasn't found sitting outside his room since it would end up looking a bit on the suspicious side.
