When he was born as a citizen to Doma but moved to the Zaibatsu by himself with his mother from another timeline. During this time, his father has waged war with the Zaibatsu, because of this every Zaibatsu warrior or official who has been involved with the wars before his birth or anyone who knows about Derek's birth has been ordered directly from the CEO to keep his father a secret to themselves. 16 years after his birth, Derek, who now goes by either just "Derek" or by what his friends call him, "D.D. (Double D)", now lives in the Zaibatsu with his mother. Derek is learning the martial arts based on the styles of Kickboxing & Traditional Karate from his mother and by himself, since he refuses to follow his mother's fighting style. Through his training, he has learned to be quite capable to handle his favorite kusarigama. His weapon skills are on par with those with leadership in the Divine Force. Even though training to be an all around fighter, his fighting style is to exploit and take advantage over his opponents weak spots.
Derek is also on his final year of the academy that Xenon Mirai, the current CEO, has established and stoked to graduate. While he was growing up, he consistently asked his mother and other Zaibatsu officials who his father was and where he is now, but like all his questions, they just get brushed off and changed to a different topic. Which thus, make Derek very curious of his father and why nobody wants to tell him the truth. Derek chose that after graduation to join the Divine Force so he can get closer to the CEO office. Derek can be a bit of a troublemaker with the authorities of the Zaibatsu. Even though Derek doesn't really have a care to be the leader of the Zaibatsu in the future like all other students in his class, he does want to be super close to the leader so that he may reveal the secrets of his past that the officials are keeping from him.] XX｡｡｡[RELATIONSHIPS]
