At Large Prompt 1
Solo or RP Format Can be used toward Battle req (or RP req only if done with a friend) Solo word minimum is 500, RP post minimum is 7
It was bound to happen eventually.
With rumors of great beasts roaming the shores of Yael, many mainlanders flocked across the sea to capture the exotic beasts. In no time at all, they returned with large scaled monsters, dangerously translucent serpents, and turtles that carried the earth. These traders traveled across the Mainland to parade the beasts, going from Matori to Zena and everywhere between. Soon enough, everyone had either seen the Yaeli beasts or at least heard of them.
And they were sure to hear about the beasts when they escaped.
With such little knowledge of the foreign creatures, the traders underestimated the animals. In no time at all, the Yaeli beasts escaped into the wilderness and ended up near your location. With new creatures all but knocking on your door, what do you do? Do you dare to try and tame them, or do you run them off back into the wilderness? You better hurry, because these creatures are lost and scared, and are sure to cause some damage before they are captured once more....|| The Yaeli familiars have been spotted in the following locations: Tintural (Oba and Matori), Keldari (Jauhar/Chibale and Tale), Limbara (Sauti and Zena). Only individuals in set locations can encounter the specific familiars.
|| If you are located in Yael, respond to this prompt as if you witnessing a mainlander abducting one of the newly announced familiars. Do you step in or run away? Use the same rolls below, but instead of subduing the beast, you are rolling to test your success for freeing it.
This prompt will be resolved by each player rolling 1D100 to test their success. (You can only roll once - there are no reattempts!)
xxxxxPrentice must roll 60-100 to successfully subdue the beast. xxxxxStage 2 must roll 50-100 to successfully subdue the beast. xxxxxStage 3 must roll 40-100 to successfully subdue the beast xxxxxStage 4 must roll 30-100 to successfully subdue the beast.
|| Success or fail, completion of this event rewards you with 15 EXP!
|| If you roll a 95-100, you get to keep the familiar! Congrats!

Sabra Knight you can just write your tag next: I figured I'd give you something to respond to instead of rolling and then I go again. Neska sat clutching her small kinfa as she peered down from her perch in the tree. Below her were apparently not nice people... which meant she needed to stay quiet and not do anything so she could get out safely! Except.. her heart twisted when she saw the small serpent held captive in the small cage. Animals should be free! Not held hissing and unhappy in cages! But she was just a kid! Well.. on her way to adulthood but still a kid! She didn't even have a weapon; what was she supposed to do? For now she was safe and hidden in the tick leaves of the strange tale trees, but she wasn't sure how long that'd last.. not with her baby kinfa getting hungry.

Kian had been with others when the gossip spread about the strange Yaeli creatures. At the time he had just shrugged off the news before returning to his work and others thought he truly didn't care. Well most believed so, but for the one who knew him truly it was no surprise to see Kian shortly disappear away from the crowded areas.
He had seen the traders, noticed that they held strange serpents in those cages. I can understand the appeal of capturing these. He smirked slightly as he peered towards the array of cages. In its own way the keldari were quite beautiful creatures. Perhaps it was the haunting memory of Talisia that made him slightly kind towards creatures? Even so he was tempted to try subduing one of the creatures himself...
Now the question was how did he go about this? The trees had offered him cover, but there were others out and about. Brow furrowed thoughtfully, Kian gazed around thoughtfully. Perhaps a raptrix howl could get some attention?

Sabra Knight I hate neska some days.. whhhhhy are you so freaking silent muse? If I am to ever be able to survive on my own, Neska thought to herself, I need to be able to... do something! She tried to get herself less nervous, tried to make her body move to yell at the mean people.. but she staid frozen for a while yet. it wasn't until her little kinfa squirmed and chirped at her that she woke up and realized she was squeezing her too much. She held the small ball of feathers up and smiled. "Just gotta go for it right?" She whispered before nodding. She would prove that she was her mothers daughter! And maybe make her new mother less nervous about letting her off on her own. She took a deep breath and hopped out of her hiding spot and landed on the ground. She held her kinfa to her as she tried to speak with confidence and authority... it came out more a nervous squeak. "You.... you shouldn't put animals in cages! Not such small ones. anyways..."

robot kitten Aww, maybe she's just too shy. Kian had been plotting when the sudden appearance of a girl made him stumble. What was she doing? The hybrid pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration. This would definitely put a twist on whatever plans he had.
For now the male just watched quietly. If the girl needed assistance then he supposed he would provide it. After all perhaps she could be the distraction he needed in order to get those cages open and earn a keldari of his own. His gaze steady, Kian pressed against the trees and waited. With the way the girl spoke he doubted it would be long before he would have to dash in.
Perhaps an act would work...would she be a delusional traveling cousin? Either way his fingers played with the flute hanging at his side. They would have help soon enough...he just hoped that nothing would happen to the keldari when the chaos would explode..

Sabra Knight sorry for crap tag! I am somehow managing to force some words out of her but its hard. Her not very confident pose and lack of authority did not help impress the leaflings at all. They laughed at her and told her to go away. Her cheeks burned with humiliation; if it'd been her mother they'd have all been bowing and begging pardon! But she got laughed at.... "Its.. its bad for the animals." She mumbled and fidgeted. "Can't you at least make a bigger cage?" "They're snakes, bug girl.... and snakes like small enclosed spaces." One of the hunters rolled his eyes with a heavy sigh. "Anything bigger would mean more space between the bars and they'd get out.. then you'd have poisonous snakes all over tale..... "Go back home to your tree and arrogant tribe and leave the rest of us to live our lives in peace already!" Another piped up from where he sat. "You're too wet behind the ears to be out in the real world little girl!"

robot kitten Welp he tried to subdue one, but it said. NOPE. While the leaf earthlings chastised the girl for her interference, Kian slipped up around the cages. A few clicks here and there with his nimble fingers allowed the cage doors to slightly become ajar. As someone finally caught notice of him, the hybrid stumbled. "Oh, 'scuse me." He laughed before pulling back, "I wanted more drinks, but I guess...*hic* they be gone now." As someone reached out to grab him a whistle managed to hit the air, "Ooooh...look at that. You might wanna duck..."
His "drunken" appearance shifted as a blur shot through the sky tumbling the cages over. Akemi, enraged that someone dared to touch her master, snarled towards the leaf earthlings. Her sharp raptrix claws were nothing to mess with and in the chaos that ensued as keldari began to slither their way towards freedom, Kian grabbed the alkidike. "Come here."
Pulling her away, he could only shake his head at the chaos that his familiar's appearance had created. She was still jumping about the cages while the doors he had opened swung freely as the now empty things tumbled around. Soon enough she would fly away leaving everyone to wonder what in the world had exactly happened.
Kian had managed to reach out and try to grab a keldari as it passed, but instead of being thankful the serpent hissed angrily before slithering away. Perhaps he would try to subdue it later...as it was they probably would be in trouble themselves. "I hope you're fond of running." He whispered as he peered out from around the trees to watch as the madness of trying to recapture the escaping keldari.

Neska tried not to show anything when she noticed the oddly colored male at the cages. He was opening them so she didn't want to give it away... She didn't quite know if she should help out when the leaflings did notice and had taken a step forward to do.. something. What she wasn't sure but Neska was trying to change her shy ways and this was a step in the right direction. "But.. the snakes..." She said when the smaller man dragged her away. She didn't resist but did look back at them, wanting to help them somehow. She blinked, her large black eyes staring at him uncomprehending for a bit. "Um... I can run." She whispered back. She wasn't fond of it but running away from the angry leaflings would be best wouldn't it? "Will the snakies be safe?" She whispered softly as she peeked through the trees.
