It'd just been a simple walk to the grocery store, really. It was difficult to believe, even now, that just some time ago a similar walk had resulted in a kidnapping and a possible near-death experience; but that was the way the cookie crumbled. Lily wasn't too immensely bothered: after all, she hadn't died, and it had possibly opened up the option for her entrance into the Dark Mirror Court. Why worry? She could aid people now. Being a cog in the machine was her ultimate goal - but, er, it would help if she'd had much of an idea what to do. She wasn't athletic aside from what school required, and it wasn't like she would pose much of a threat in a fight: really, that sort of pursuit had always been anathema to the reputation Lily kept up...which was half a reputation and half a personality she'd cultivated over the years until it'd merged with whatever her original personality had been. But that was something more people went through than most assumed, Lily thought. It seemed simple enough. So when she half-recognized, half-admired the outfit of a young woman; the transparent overlays, the wings; those were all familiar elements: she did the only thing she could reasonably do in such a situation. She pulled out her pen and ducked around a corner (where there weren't any people, not that there were too many around at this time of night), and whispered "Juliet Power Make-Up -" and the girl who ducked back around the corner had elegantly painted nails, a circlet of clouds upon her head, and a quiet voice. "Excuse me, miss...?"

Mintaka was recovering from her injuries from Order, her hands were less painful to move and her leg was wrapped. There was a seething aura of hate but as she felt the aura of another mirror join her, in the middle of her stealth draining of the theives an alleyway over, her face relaxed and she turned around.
The dark mirror was new to her, and not one that had been present at the meeting, which made her excited. New dark mirrors in destiny city were dark mirrors to join in the cause.
"Hello, little one." Mintaka was small herself, but her face was gentle and she closed the compact, calling her wraiths back to her. "You're new, My name is Mintaka. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"New, yes," Juliet echoed back, the smile on her lips one step away from sincere - but it was small, and it was gentle (as were her movements, as were her steps), so the technicalities weren't the things she worried about. "A woman with moth antennae inducted me - but I haven't wanted to bother her, since I only found a cat after our meeting." She curtsied, thin fingers lifting up her skirt and overlay in just the right way and letting it fall after standing up to her full height: which wasn't much, really; she hit five foot nothing with the heels.
"I'm Sailor Juliet of Whiteouts. And you would be, miss...? I'm sorry to intrude on anything, really."

"Welcome to the family then!" Mintaka cocked her head, wondering if she hadn't said her name loud enough and tried again, "Mintaka, Eternal of Origami." She shuffled her compact back into her obi like sash around her waist and then paused.
"Oh you aren't, I was just completing one of the many task that are given to Dark Mirrors, energy draining." She smiled gently, "You met Lestath then? She's a very knowledgeable dark mirror!" The white haired senshi hadn't realized that Raven was back on the scene but it made sense now that hers and Rem's baby had been born.
Goodness time really flew.
"If you aren't busy, would you like to learn some things?"

"Ah, yes," Juliet nodded, her eyes lighting up with recognition. "Lesath - that was her name. I apologize; my memory's actually terrible, so I couldn't remember it until you said it. Origami...your outfit does lend itself to that power - it is a very lovely outfit, by the way. There was only so much she could do for me without a cat, however...so I haven't seen her since."
The mention of learning made her eyebrows raise, pristine pale fingers tucking stray strands of hair back into her tiara. "Yes, please. As long as it doesn't inconvenience you, of course. I'd like to learn how to be properly helpful."

"Thank you! I'm quite fond of it myself." She laughed as her armed raised and one of the small bells attached jingled. "Hard for sneaking but that's what our mirrors are for after all." She nodded, "Cats are hard to find among the mirror court. Something we have to borrow from the negaverse, if they allow us. They usually don't mind." She smiled, "As the negaverse has been working with us for long while."
She nodded and gestured her to come forward.
"Do you have your compact, we can start with that and I can teach you how to drain." She smiled, "It sounds worst then it is, if you do it correctly. I can teach you that."

"The cat asked me if I was a Negaverse senshi, yes," she demurred. "I haven't met one of them myself, but I suppose they're distaff counterparts to us? I haven't felt the need to go exploring, really -- not until I saw someone who appeared experienced, and you did fit the bill. Are the cats normally used for awakening Senshi? That was the impression I got."
Juliet took some steps towards Mintaka, hands clasped in front of her - delicate. A least she looked like the fuku was a second skin, not like some first-level Senshi who looked like they were wearing a frilly dress three sizes too small. (Mintaka looked like some sort of ethereal princess, on the other hand; fully realized into her own power. Maybe that was the apex of what she'd achieve, if she ever did. If she didn't: well. Juliet didn't think she'd be too upset if she took a while. She was no soldier, after all.)
"I don't have a compact, no. But I trust you."

"I see! You're cat felt the senshi within you, but I am surprised that whoever awakened you didn't find time to help you." It made her worried about the DMC leaving anyone new behind. With Chariklo purified, and not many eternals she knew active at the moment, she wanted to take the mantle of guidance for the newly awakened senshi.
"Let me show you then." She pulled out her small compact, decorated with a small crane on its design and held it out for the girl to see, once it opened, it showed a small mirror no different from anothers. Except the shadow that emitted from it, slowly crawling out.
"This is one of my wraiths." She murmured as her more...calmer one floated around her, visible only slightly until it would drain energy. "They are creatures that take energy and feed it to the mirrorspace."

"Lesath offered me guidance, but I didn't want to take up her time," Juliet smiled (the expression didn't reach her eyes; but none of hers really had so far), peeking over at Mintaka's mirror. "I'd rather just...find someone, than directly reach out. It's rude to bother people. I prefer to rely on circumstance." She gazed upon the wraith with blank eyes, not necessarily curious, but taking in all the information.
"Where can I obtain one...? It seems like it'd be necessary for my duties."

"I understand that sentiment, but in the world you are now living in, reaching out is the best way for survival." The origami senshi blinked, because mirror space had given her compact to her when she had corrupted into the court.
"We can go into mirrorspace, and retrieve your compact and your wraith." She looked around before gesturing to the woman, "Come with me this way. I'll show you mirrorspace."

"I understand, but - " and Juliet almost looked ashamed of herself, of her inability - "I really...I don't exactly have the capacity. There is something in me that doesn't quite work the same way it does for other people." It was stating a fact, nothing more; but it was a fact she was not especially proud of. A critical deformity -- an inability to individually theorize, to individually contemplate and reach out, to grasp a conclusion with one hand and pull.
Some people were inherently designed to be followers, was the conclusion Juliet had come to over time, and she was simply one of them.
"I'd very much appreciate that, yes." There was a mirror nearby -- it would be a suitable solution - and she trailed after Mintaka obediently as the older woman strode towards their answer, for the time being. She understood. Perhaps Juliet could understand, one day.
