Maddie raced through the shadows and kept close to the moss covered trees. The ground oozed murky water around her hooves wherever she stepped making her sneaking, not so sneaky. She stopped to catch her breath, grinning to herself at the thought of the impending mayhem she had come to cause. Feathers swirled around the wrappings at the end of her tail, having been sent into disarray from her quick movements. What would she find here? Not entirely sure what she had come in to, but knowing it was going to be exciting, she darted on through the swamp.
She had made it to the main body of water that supplied the swamp with its copious moisture and musty smell. The light that was coming through the trees was murky and low, reflecting off the algae in the water and the moisture in the air casting a weird green light across everything. It was the perfect setting for some chaos, she was sure of it. Her skin pricked and tingled down her spine in excitement as she surveyed the surroundings further.
