Hyperborea was sitting down at a tree resting her staff against her shoulder. She had just dusted a strong youma and decided to take a break. With nothing else to do she began to think about things: what the Code had told her, that strange man and his plan to invade the Negaverse with crystals, what her new found transcendence and knighthood meant for her responsibilities. I have to get better, I...I have improve so that I can make princess Cosmos proud. I have to live up to my title as a knight of Cosmos. But how do I do that? She thought, slipping into a depressed state.
She was brought out of her funk by the appearance of a squire's aura, a Cosmos squire at that. Bimini maybe or someone new. She thought feeling a bit happier at the prospect. She loved seeing her fellow Cosmos knights.
Getting up she started making her way towards the aura. She was a bit taken aback when she found the owner of the aura though, it was Verona. The page she had meet a few months back and tried/failed to explain knighthood and the war too.
"Verona, its good to see you again. Congratulations on your advancement." She blushed wondering if she should say what was on her mind. Deciding it was best to get it off her chest she continued. "Look, I'm sorry for before. I gave you a bad introduction to our world. I thought it would help you to know everything but I didn't consider your feelings, so I'm very sorry." She said apologetically. Pixie Nyxie Here's a start let me know if I need to change anything

Verona was just out and about, doing her cool knight things when she felt the bright and intense aura of a transcendent knight. How funny would it be to see Babylon so soon after meeting.
She was more surprised that the Aura found her and she froze in place.
"Ah Kid!" Verona pointed a finger and then waggled it, "Thanks Hyper, and congrats to you too! Almost mistook you for Babylon with your Aura." But apparently Hyper had some stuff to get off her chest and Verona's eyes widened.
"hey kid, it's okay. You were passionate and stuff." Verona shrugged. "I got a better grip now on things. How you been?"

"Merci." She said blushing at the woman's congrats. "Wait you know Babylon?" She said surprised that the two apparently knew one another.
"But yeah I guess my aura does kind of feel like Babylon's now that I transcended." She said, not that she could feel her own aura, but she did know that transcendent knights had weird auras.
She felt relieved that Verona didn't hate her, and she visibly relaxed a bit. "I'm glad to hear that, and now that you're a squire you have magic too, that's great. I've.....I've been ok. I mean I did get a promotion after all, so that is exciting. How about you?" She hesitated it was half true. But she also had alot on her mind that was weighing heavily on her, but she didn't want to bother Verona with that.

"Uh yeah, Dude's been pretty great to me! Taught me a couple of things, we had a sit down after my meeting with you and he explained some things." She grinned, "He's a cool dude."
She tilted her head and studied Hype. Transcendent took a lot of commitment to wonders right? That was something Babylon had said.
"You're a full knight now yeah?" Verona paused and then shrugged, "Okay! Something going on with the code, been patrolling around for weirdo's and stuff. You sure you're alright, your face is falling a bit?" Verona didn't have experience with most teens but...she had been one a long time ago okay.

"Yeah he's pretty good at that." She said with grin herself.
"Yeah I guess so, it still doesn't really feel like it though." She admitted. What Verona said next was curious. "You think somethings wrong with the Code? What makes you think that?" Could something even be wrong with the Code, was that even possible?
Hyperborea gave a defeated sigh. "Am I that transparent? I just... I don't know, something the Code told me has been weighing on my mind and its also just been a rough couple of weeks. But I shouldn't bother you with my problems." She said earnestly. She shouldn't put her troubles on a squire, she was a knight now and should be able to stand on her own and deal with her own issues.

Verona certainly made a scoffing sound before taking the girl's arm and leading her towards a area for them to sit down, then she rested her weapon on the curb and crossed her legs, which was hard to do in the clingy dress but she made it work.
"Come on Kid, Code s**t is serious, if you need to talk about it, then lets talk?" she paused, "What did it say to you?"

Hyperborea was a bit surprised when Verona took her arm and dragged her away from where they had been talking. She took a seat pulling her knees up to her chest and resting her chin on her knees.
"I asked it if I was fulfilling my duty as a knight of Hyperborea and it told me no. It said I was a spectacular failure and that lady Cosmos must be disappointed." She explained as she felt tears brimming in her eyes as she remembered the harsh dressing down the Code had given her. She tried to blink away the threatening tears.

Verona had a easier time listening to the woman as she sat next to her, and mostly because it seemed that Hyper wouldn't hold back in sharing her thoughts. When she explained what her code had said, Verona tapped her chin and wondered what it was about the cosmic piece of power that would treat it's knights so terribly? Why would it tell Hyper and herself they were failing? What were they failing at? "Well, that's a goddamn lie." Verona reached over and threw a arm around the younger girl, "You were doing everything right kid! I mean, you are so passionate about the war, and doing things right, I think this code thing is being a really ******** piece of work right now. Excuse the language." The mention of Lady Cosmos brought the image of the past life and her own troubles with the woman she had never met and the past life she never wanted. While it was easy to tell Hyper one thing, Verona herself was expriencing a disappointment in being told she was a failure as well. "My piece said something like that too." She let that hang and wondered what the girl would think.

Hyperborea blushed when the older woman threw her arm around her but she didn't complain. "Ah um Merci. You're too kind." She said with her cheeks slightly pink.
"What, that can't be true!" She vehemently disagreed with the idea that Verona could be a failure as well. Even though she had been willing to just accept that the code was right and she was a failure she couldn't do the same for her fellow Cosmos knight. "I mean you seem really nice and you were made a squire so clearly you're doing things right."
"So um, Code aside how have you been liking your knighthood?" She asked sort of hoping to shift the conversation away from the Code's disapproval.

"Nah Kid, I just hate when s**t...s**t's on you. And the code's been real shitty as of late, so I get it." She waved a hand and looked at the blush, "Kid your face is all about emotions, isn't it?"
"I made it to squire, but I still felt like I was dicking around." She laughed and then looked back at Hype.
"Eh, Not much better as a civilian then as a squire. Broke up with my girlfriend. Its been rough."

A mortified look crossed her face. "It...It is not!" She said defensively, her cheeks were red. She was able to control her emotions better than that or at least she thought so.
She managed to calm down a bit. " Um but yeah its really weird that the Code is acting like this. From what I've been told about it, it is supposed to be all knowing and stuff. I wonder if something is wrong with it, is that even possible." She mused out loud.
"You couldn't have been worse than I was as a page. I was so dumb back then." She said with a nervous laugh.
"Oh that's so sad, I'm sorry that happened." She said earnestly, she was a romantic at heart so hearing about a breakup made her sad.

"Oh yes it is, it's turning red with embarassment, Kid. Nothing to feel bad about I mean so." She laughed.
"Probably, maybe it's a woman in disguise and having some serious PMS? I mean, that's not to far off right? Probably needs some chocolate and warm blankets and it'll be right as rain!"
She laughed again, "You were pretty uh....aggressive when we met, glad to see you calmed down. No more spewing about the whole universe in the first meeting, right?"
To the last part, she shrugged.
"You ever have past life memories so strong, they kind of melt into your present life?" or was...that just her?

"If you say so." She mumbled still not really liking the implication that she wore her emotions on her face.
She couldn't help the giggles that came from Verona's suggestion about the code. "Perhaps it is, it would certainly explain some things." She said with a laugh.
"Yeah I'm sorry about that..." She paused wondering if she should be open on the subject. "I was going through a rough time back then, I had just lost some people very dear to me. I guess I wanted to give you as much information as possible so that nothing bad would happen to you hopefully. But that was mistake, I'm sorry if I came off kinda crazy."
"I'm afraid I don't have any past life memories, I'm a descended knight not a reborn one, so instead of memories I get the last knight of Hyperborea haunting my wonder. Why is that happening to you alot?" She asked curious, it didn't seem healthy if her past life memories were bleeding into her present life.

Verona waved her hand.
"I understand it all really now, and I'm handling it better." She repeated, "So sorry I called you crazy too, cause you ain't kid. Dedicated, but you ain't crazy."
She blinked and then whistled.
"Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? There is such things as descended knights?" She shook her head, "Haunting your wonder, You have someone to talk to? Jesus." at her comment of the memories, Verona gave a small 'mmhmm' and then sighed.
"Past self was in love with Cosmos, like ******** painfully so. now its bleeding over into me and its messing up my time with my own girl but like...I don't know how to explain it. I've never met Cosmos. I don't think I really love her but my heart is all confused because it thinks it is."

"Merci." She said with a small smile, she appreciated being called dedicated after all she took her duties very seriously.
"Yup knighthood is in my blood, honestly I'm kind of surprised Babylon never mentioned it he's one too. But yeah my ancestor hangs around my wonder, he's this giant stone guy named Theseus he can be kind of a jerk but deep down he's a good person, he helps me train and teaches me alot about the past of Hyperborea. If you'd like I can take you up there some time and introduce you to him." She offered.
"I think I know how you feel, I mean I've never meet her but when the Code said Cosmos must be disappointed in me it felt like my heart was breaking. I couldn't stand the thought that she might hate me. Maybe its cause we're her knights." She suggested not really sure how their relationship worked especially since she never had the chance to meet her princess face to face.
